The content is excellent and extremely thorough, despite some of the dated metaphors and narrative illustrations. It IS quite dry, which is not surprising considering that the author is very... VERY thorough in his expression of ideas. The grammar alone is so proper it could put a person to sleep. However, I really appreciated the comprehensive examinations of love and how it functions (or should function.) I actually really loved the section near the end, pages 90 and 91, which talked about how "professionalism is the enemy of relationship." I feel like we've changed the definition of professionalism in the last 100 years, and I'd like to go back to the old one!
This book was an incredible example of how love is supposed to look like. We loved because God first loved us. We must not only preach the love of God, but show it and speak it every day to all whom we encounter. That includes creatures and people all around us. This was such a delightful and insightful read :)
