Doppo Kunikida (國木田 獨歩 Kunikida Doppo, 15 July 1871 – 23 June 1908) was a Japanese author of novels and romantic poetry during the Meiji period, noted as one of the inventors of Japanese naturalism.
2.5 I think? I really liked the descriptions of the innkeeper at the beginning and the ending is so fun to me....conceptually this is pretty interesting too I like the concept of people who we see randomly and stay in our minds, i kind of relate in some ways to Otsu and some of the ideas he mentioned. I would be interested to read more stories from kunikida and see how we go because I liked parts of this a lot.
