I'm fairly new to the world of pre-cuts. I've known they existed, of course, but hadn't bought any until about 2 months ago. I now am a big fan and have been looking at books & projects that use them.

Overall, I like the patterns and ideas here, though there is really only one project I'm dying to make, and that's the wreath on page 61. There are a lot of blocks that work well as autograph blocks, so that is useful when I'm looking for something along those lines.

This book is published by the fabric maker Moda, so they only tell you about the pre-cuts sizes they sell and neglect to mention that many other companies sell the same sizes, though savvy quiltmakers will know that already. They do tell you in the back which fabric lines were used for a particular project, so if you see a fabric you really like you may be able to track it down. (I liked A Walk in the Woods by Aneela Hoey, used in two projects.) I was surprised at hoew many projects called for one color solid precuts, as I find the whole point of precuts to get a lot of variety, but that's a personal preference thing. I would use yardage for lots of the same fabric, solid or otherwise.

I enjoyed thumbing through this book, but no one project stood out as a must-make project for me.
