It started one of my favorite arcs, inspiring one of my favorite movies of the series: WXIII: Patlabor the Movie 3.
This manga series is interesting because it is telling a story, similar to the anime, while doing its own sub-plots, like the start of the experiment 13 arc. Whiles it’s so good and fun to read, I was hoping this manga would be more character driven, like in volume 1, or more incident driven: like a crime of the week thing.
I like drawn out dramas and politics, but corporation based politics and drama may not be the one for me. We’ll see how this manga artist continues the story.

Di komik yang diterbitkan Elex tahun 1996 ini, ujug-ujug baca Patlabor (robot patroli yang dikendarai polisi) melawan monster dari dasar laut.
Aiyaaa... nggak sengaja sih, tapi kok kebetulan banget pas mau nonton Pacific Rim. ^.^
Ini yang bikin Pacific Rim ngakunya bukan membuat homage atau tribute untuk film-film kaiju Jepang macam Godzilla, Gamera dsb. Tapi monster-monster dari dasar lautnya dinamai kaiju (--;). Nggak konsisten ah, boss.
Yah... paling tidak, meskipun katanya bukan homage, pastinya terinspirasi dan mengambil referensi film-film live action dan animasi Jepang sih.
