This oversized volume is breathtaking! It's an "I Spy" style art history picture book, which makes a close examination of artwork a game. I've been fortunate to have made trips to the Louvre (a bonus of having a parent who taught high school French!) and this recalled many fond memories of seeing a few of the included works in person. This book is 100% joy.

What a fun book! A chance to study famous works of art up close by trying to find details and then learning more about the type or style of art and the artists in the end. A very cool book.

An interesting way to encourage young readers to view the artwork of the Louvre.
I liked the way the "find the pictures" encouraged the reader to look more closely
at the artwork.
