Written for the layman in an easy-to-understand format ? Illustrations and explanatory charts included ? The moon has taken the impact of meteors that would have hit Earth. On the moon, there are 200,000 identified craters. On Earth, there are 200. We've seen the moon almost every day of our lives. "What are Transient Lunar Phenomena?") felt like nothing more than a study guide for oral examinations. As good as a short course on the moon, this book succinctly and clearly explains facts about the moon, the effects of the moon(such as providing stability for earth's rotation), and theories for the moon's origin (fairly explaining all theories, though the authors personally believe in ex nihilo creation). Most sections are given in a question and answer general format.
