Okay

I don't know if it's just because I had such a connection to a previously read book, or if I just am not in the mood for a novel such as this one- but I did not feel the pull to this novel that I normally do when I am reading a new novel. I will definitely have to try again later.

Fun

I like that these were good, clean romances. Sometimes, it feels like sex is all that keeps couples together. This set shows a lot of really getting to know one another in each story.

It is time for the holidays and what better than to listen to some holiday audios that will put you in the holiday mood. This is a set of stories that are touching, fun filled with romance and laughter with a little pain until they work it all out.
The Christmas Catch
Is a story of a woman who lost her husband before her baby was born. For many years she did it alone not looking for love which may bring more pain. She spent all her time with her son giving him all the love she had that is until her friend sent her on a holiday to house set there she meets a man who is hard to forget.

I really enjoyed the characters the little boy is a delight and brings so many smiles and laughs. Christine is a hard working mother but needs to give her son more attention. Once they hit the road on their first vacation in a long time Christine runs a man off the road, such a wonderful sweet man she can’t forget. John has the same issues with those amazing eyes one look just isn’t enough.

The Holiday Bride
What a very touching fun read so far the best of the boxset. I can’t tell you how many times I have laughed out loud at all that goes on. The humor is outstanding as well as this short story of lost love, unsure love, and family love.

Mistletoe in Maine
I thought this was a fun read but didn’t care for it as much as the one before. The humor is still the, the plot is good and the characters easy to relate to. It is a story of starting over, finding a new love and two families becoming one. I loved the plot and the moose was cute. The characters are easily likable.

Beach Blanket Santa

A story of misunderstanding, one night together what happen and who did what turns out to be something that could changes these two relationship. I thought the plot was good, the characters very likable and was a lot of fun to listen to. There is a twist here that is very surprising not only to the reader but to the characters. So many years wasted if only they would have talked it out years ago things could have been so different.

The narrator did a wonderful job pulling the listener in putting so much emotion into the stories from laughter to fun that you can hear the emotions. I really enjoyed her child voice as well as he male and female ones. She truly brought the story to life. There are no background noises, no repeating of wording, no volume changes. Her performance was outstanding and given with power, confidence. A true pleasure to listen to her work and easy to believe what you are hearing. I had no trouble picturing the scenes and loving the story being pulled in from the start.

This is a wonderful holiday story filled with love, laughs and fun that I totally enjoyed. The plot is great as well as the characters. I truly loved everything about these characters and how the story is land out. At times my heart broke for both main characters. It was truly a delightful romance giving me many hours of enjoyment. The author gives a few surprises that truly leaves you with your mouth open and smiling all the way. I can’t wait to listen to the next one in this series.

The Christmas Catch – Ginny Baird
A beautiful tear-jerker, this short Christmas love story will melt even the coldest of hearts. Needing to restore her relationship with her young son, and replenish her own heart with the love of life, Christine is sent on a holiday that is about to change her life, by her boss and best friend, Ellen. Never could she have imagined just how much her heart needed this trip. When he was practically run off the road, John never realized to what extent Fate would go to bring the love of a family to his doorstep. But just one look into the beautiful eyes of the woman driving the SUV, and her cute as a button son in the back seat, was enough to start the ball rolling on what might prove to be the biggest roller coaster ride of his life.
Beautifully written, and easy to follow, this short will have you in tears at some point or another. Well done!
The Holiday Bride
If you don’t believe in Santa Clause, you may just want to reconsider after reading this short, but oh so cute, tale of love. Even though her wedding is only a week away, Lucy finds herself in a bit of a funk. Her fiancé can’t seem to follow through with his promises, constantly putting work before her, and even getting her to “run his errands”, hand delivering gifts for a “client” on Christmas Eve. But when the weather gets really bad, and a car appears to be heading towards her head on, accidents tend to happen. Waking up in a strangers house Christmas morning with no memory is a whole new experience…for everyone. What starts as a little girls Christmas wish just may turn the lives of everyone involved upside down. So cute and full of love, you won’t want to miss this one. Absolutely guaranteed that you’ll fall in love all over again!
Mistletoe in Maine
From heartbreak to falling in love, this short story will melt you inside even though it’s freezing outside. With young imaginations overflowing, and wishful thinking for the more mature, this book has a little bit of everything. Nothing says love better than second chances, especially for those that have loved and lost. Beautifully written and well worth the read.
Beach Blanket Santa
What happens when not one, but two deserving people are sent to the same place by those that love them, to “recoup” and recharge? It creates the perfect recipe for one steamy romance whose bud was crushed a mere three years ago. Will these two singles ever manage to find their way to a couple, the way their hearts hope? Or will they each be doomed to single life loneliness forever? Yet another Christmas miracle is about to happen. A beautiful short read you won’t want to miss.

Four for one

Immersed in these four delightful books, I discovered a profound simplicity that transcended their modest size. Despite the sweltering August heat and hazy skies from distant Canadian wildfires, these stories transported me to a serene Christmas landscape, offering a refreshing mental escape. Each narrative was masterfully crafted, proving that literary magic isn't about length but emotional depth. The authors skillfully wove tales of love and hope, creating a heartwarming experience that lifted my spirits. Moreover, their tasteful approach—eschewing explicit content—allowed the pure emotional resonance of the stories to shine through, making the reading experience both meaningful and enjoyable.

This wonderful collection of stories by Ginny Baird contains the first four books in her Holiday Brides Series. These were all wonderfully sweet romantic stories that I could not put down. I have a special fondness for Christmas stories so all of these stories hold a special place in my heart.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Christmas Catch Holiday Brides #1:
Christine White has such a full plate. Since she lost her husband, she has been a single mother, raising an adorable, intelligent four year old son. She is in desperate need of some time to recharge and spend some quality time with her son. Her best friend, whom is also her boss sends her to Vermont to house sit. I found it so sweet that Christine's friend seen how much Christine needed this get away.
Little does Christine know she is about to meet handsome, wonderful, and helpful John Steadman. John seems to pop up in all the the right places to run into Christine and her son until they finally make plans to meet again. These two become instant friends and John shows Christine and Tyler all the fun things to do in Vermont. I really liked that John included Tyler in all the outings with Christine and found things that Tyler would enjoy doing as well.
I really enjoyed reading John and Christine's story. The Christmas Catch is a wonderful sweet romance story.
The Holiday Bride Holiday Brides #2:
I have to say that this was my favorite story in the collection. They were all fabulous but I LOVED this story. Lucy West has a jerk of a fiance' that she is about to marry. He's just not the right person for her. When she disappears for a few days he doesn't even know she has been gone. What a butt head!
However Lucy takes a fall on the sdie walk and that is when everything changes. She ends up with a wonderful family that helps her figure out what is going on. William Kinkaid's little girl is certain that Lucy has been left as a surprise from Santa. You see she wants a new mommy and she thinks Lucy will fit that bill just perfectly.
There are many twist and turns, some really sweet family moments, some sweet romantic moments, and a bit of mystery. I just adored this story. I have to admit that I could not put this story down until I was finished. All the books in this wonderful collections are fairly short and can be read in a short amount of time. Which is great if you are looking for a feel good Holiday story just before bed, or anytime.
Mistletoe in Maine Holiday Brides #3:
I really enjoyed this story as well. Carol Baker wanted to take her children on a Christmas vacation that they would never forget. When she finds the Love Inn located in Maine she thinks she has found the perfect vacation spot. She doesn't know if she can truly afford the vacation but in the end I don't think she could have afforded not to take this vacation.
Paul Love is thinking of retiring from the inn life since he lost his wife. He plans this to be his last Christmas as an inn Owner. So when the Baker family arrives and a few members of Paul's own family arrive as well it makes for an intimate Christmas holiday. I loved the family aspect of this book. I thought it was sweet that they all became one big family for the holiday. They do many things together and show the kids a really fun White Christmas. Paul and Carol hit it off right away and there is chemistry between these two. Can they find a way to make it work for them after Carol and the kids go back home?
Once again this is another one of those feel good stories that left me with the farm fuzzy feeling when I was finished reading it. I would highly recommend this whole set to all my fellow Christmas story fans out there. If you are already a fan of Ginny Baird I know you are going to love this collection. If you have not read her work yet this is a great way to give her stories a chance.
Beach Blanket Santa Holiday Brides #4:
Christmas on the beach, what could be more perfect? Except when a winter storm is blowing in and leaves everyone on the island stranded for a few days.
Sarah Anderson's friend insist that she take a vacation over the Christmas Holiday, and that she make use of the beach house. She won't take no for an answer so Sarah heads off for her Beach Holiday. Little does she know that Matt Salvatore has also been instructed that he needs a break. He too is planning to spend the holiday at the beach house.
These two have a past together that embarrasses Sarah and that Matt doesn't quite understand. This makes for some interesting moments and a few twists and turns at the beach house. I really enjoyed watching Sarah and Matt REALLY get to know each other. It turns out they have more in common then they thought and they have a lot of fun together. By time they can leave the island are they really going to want to? I'm going to let you grab a copy and find out for yourself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have become a big fan of Ginny Baird's work. She writes the sweetest romances that leave you with those warm fuzzy feelings. She also adds a lot of humor and I love to laugh when I am reading a book. If you have not read her work yet I suggest you give one of these a try. You don't need to read them in order because they stand alone. I hear Ms. Baird has a new book coming out soon, I can't wait to read it.

I was given the opportunity to read this book to share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts on this great collection of stories.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Enjoyed the series. It's a little over 90 days before Christmas. Let's start early getting in the mood.
Enjoyed the series. All were happily ever afters.

Book #1 When Christine heart broke, I started crying.
Book #2 A very Hallmark type of story.
Book #3 A fantasy. If only this could happen.
Book #4 Dreams can come true...they have plenty of money to travel and do what they want when you don't have kids who seem to need it.

Fav quotes:
“Does it ever stop snowing in Vermont?” Christine asked with a laugh. “A few months out of the year,” he answered.

Reviewed each book separately. Wasn't impressed with the stories, and the kids seemed to have issues. One kid does things on a computer that are surely going to get him arrested at some point, another child makes up stories constantly, another kid employs his creepy grandma to trick his father, another one had his phone practically surgically attached to his hand. I know that is true of kids these days, but c'mon, grow a spine and limit its use!!

There are many ways to meet the one you are looking for love and marriage to unite the two. You need to realize how to tell if you feel they are special and if you will be able be sure their feelings are the same about you. Holidays have a special romance involved.

DNF. The second story had a woman leave her husband at the altar & just walk away with a guy she played (sexless) house with for a few days. No thanks. The stories were cheesy & sickly sweet. Not my cup of tea. Seriously, I lost IQ points.
