An interesting compilation of killers that don't get all the press. Every time I hear the FBI statistic that about 30 serial killers are active in America at any given time, it is hard to believe because so many just don't get reported on. This book shows they ARE out there and they ARE getting caught.

One of the things I found most interesting is how old some of the cases are as well, this isn't as new a phenomenon as it seems

I thought this series of books sounded very interesting, but was disappointed to see how short they are, with each book being maybe only about 1/2 inch thick. These books provide only bare-bones information, with each of the 50 'chapters' being only two large type pages (or less) with what appeared to be triple-spacing between the few paragraphs. OK, so now I know ... If I want to truly learn about either a particular murder or a particular murderer, it's essential to find a full-length book, rather than one with a brief summary of 50 murderers. So far, I am reading Volume 1; and have already purchased two other volumes. However, I can say for certain that I won't purchase any more of the volumes in this series.

This was an interesting read

but not because of the authors skills. Quite a few grammatical and spelling errors made it hard to follow at times, but over all it was mediocre at best.

I have always had in interest in why people murder, hurt ect. to others. I haven't figured out why or what would bring them to do such things to others. I know people can make you mad ect., but nobody should get mad enough to hurt another like that, although from hearing some of these it seems to me that it isn't the being mad that drives them to do it, some just enjoy it {which I haven't understood that yet}.

Well Organized

This collection is well organized and hits all the key points in each case. The author minimizes use of adjectives allowing the actions to speak for themselves. It works.
