Color Me A Crime by Tonya Kappes
Olivia Davis paranormal mysteries series #2. Cozy style. Can be read as a stand-alone. This book is a couple years after the first.
Olivia Davis has two jobs. The first is Splitsville.com where people pay her to break up with their significant other. The second job is Color Me Love, a matchmaking by people’s auras.
Olivia is in a new relationship herself. She can’t resist a man with a blue aura and Joel, a police officer has a blue aura. He should be helpful when a dead body shows up and Olivia is a suspect. Instead of asking for help, Olivia goes undercover as a porn star to try to figure out who is a killer.

Twists between jobs make the story complicated and Olivia gets pasties for the undercover job but also carries mace in case someone gets too close to her. Crazy.
Entertaining but also includes descriptions of how she sees auras and what they mean copies almost word for word from the first book.
🎧 I prefer to listen to the books by this author and this particular story was narrated by virtual voice. It would never be mistaken for a live performance but for convenience and other reasons, the virtual voice worked out well for me.

Entertaining mystery listening 😎😄

This kindle ebook novel is from my Kindle Unlimited account book two of two.

She is still running the break up service and working with a friend who runs a dating service. She ends up at a porn film place undercover investigating a murder. It turns into a drug dealer investigation. It all comes to a surprise ending 😃.

I would recommend this series and author to fans of Tonya Kappes and family and friends adventure mystery novels 🐈🎶 2025 🤓😯by

Number two

This is not as great a follow-up as I had hoped for. The first book was an example of the author's writing near her best. This one jumps to a completely new storyline than the one we were set up for--Bradley and working for the police. All of a sudden we have a different job and a different boyfriend and have to be filled in with sections of prose--not a good tactic. Also we have a lot of prose filling in details we already read in the previous book, nearly word for word, and bringing us up to speed on the previous book to make this a stand alone. There were so many sections explaining jobs, abilities, relationships and so forth that I was getting tired of the book and skimmed to find the actual story. Luckily the mystery was a pretty good one so we keep our four star rating. I just hope number three doesn't take that tack.

An awesome read

This paranormal, cozy, mystery is different from others I have read and I love it. Olivia is considered a physic, but she is so much more. She will do anything to prove her innocents when she I is accused of murder, and that is what makes this book an awesome read. Most of her friends from the first book are still here with a couple of new friends. Great read.

If crime had a color it would be black.

If this story was a car it would be a Ferrari. This is so fast paced with twists and turns all over ths place. Olivia goes undercover as a porn star to clear her name as a killer. That's just the start of an hilarious gathering of events that leads to drugs, betrayal and jealousy.

Aura's

When you have a woman that she's people and animals Laura's in colors and passes out if too many get in her sight at once you have a slight problem. Her older aunt has similar experience. When the woman is accused of murder she has to find the killer. Read you won't believe how it unfolds.

I am so sorry to see this series end it has been so much fun reading it. There are a lot of twists and turns in the plot making it difficult to figure out who did what until the end. I really like the characters and storylines!!

A cozy murder mystery. Color me a crime

Tonya Kappes does an excellent job of weaving this story in and out. Things turn on an instant. Better keep up! You may miss the clues!

I liked it much more than book 1in this series. Characters were much more likable and better developed and the aunt in particular spoke and acted much more like the mother figure she was supposed to be. I may not be remembering correctly, but I thought she was 70 in the first book, but this book is some months later and now she is 85. I didn't care enough to go back to see if the error was mine, but I probably will at some point to be fair. I'm giving this a 3 rating which I am comfortable with, this is the same rating I gave Splitsville. This is the better of the two by miles though. In hindsight I gave a rating based on the idea for the book alone and was trying not to be mean. I will probably try one more by this author, maybe a different series, before giving up the cause. She seemed to have a following, or maybe just a lot of supportive friends.

This is the second book in A Olivia Davis Paranormal Mysteries! I didn't want to put it down, I was completely enthralled in this book! Olivia is now working two jobs, one at Splitsville.com where she breaks up with people and the second is with her best friend Erin at Color Me Love where she reads people auras to find them their perfect match! She has a new blue aura boyfriend Joel, who is on the police force! But one of Color Me Love's Clients is murdered and Olivia is prime suspect! Now she has to clear her name and fix her life! Not only did this book make you turn page after page but was laugh out loud funny with twists and turns I never so coming! I highly recommend!

Olivia is branching out. Not only is she running splitsville.com, she is also helping her best friend Erin with her new business, Color Me Love - a dating service which matches people based on their auras.
Not surprisingly, things for wrong quickly for Olivia and she finds herself having to prove she is innocent of murdering a local erotica movie star, while trying to show the new man in her life that she isn't crazy.

Color Me A Crime

Olivia moves back home after following and living with Bradley. She missed her Aunt Matilda and best friend Beth to much. Beth and Olivia started up a love match business together. Even after a warning from Aunt Matilda that it would be a bad thing. A love match they make almost becomes the undoing of Olivia. It was fun to read. I enjoyed it. Now I'm going to start reading the next one.

Loved this book as much as I loved the first book in the series. I love the characters like Olivia, Erin, Aunt Matilda, and Joel. This book has it all romance, humor, suspense, and aura readings. The author is wonderful and I have loved all of her books that I have read. I hope she writes another book to this series because they are great.

I liked the second book (3rd book?) in the series more than the first. It can be read as a stand alone because it does give enough background info for the story to work. Some characters are from before and some are new. The writing style is great as always. Lots of twists and turns in this one! What's next for Olivia? The end certainly has me guessing.
