Surrender to Temptation by EB Walters
This family saga is about Chase and the woman of his dreams. He runs many successful restaurants. Keira is a food critic for the LA Times.
Nikki has arrived at the ranch to make a web page for them. Chase is the rancher and she has ulterior motives. Her sister was at his restaurant when it burned one night, scarring her and leaving her with many surgeries.
She has found Chase to have an eye problem since the fire and she and he both are sexually attracted to one another.
Love hearing of the food combinations and the lifestyle on the ranch-so many new things to learn about.
Hot steamy passionate love scenes and a mystery man who may have started the fire after all as others in the family check out the trails and clues.
Excellent read even by itself but it's always nice to catch up with the family...
I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Chase is another one of Ednah"s gifts to her readers he is incredibly smexy.

Everything, from his beautifully slim hips and narrow waist to his broad shoulders, is SOLID.

** A GRADE BEEF ** TOTALLY BRAWN - cowboy treat on two legs .

Loved the storyline, and the characters within the pages. Another Fitz boy to love.

FUll review to come.

Chase comes from the close-knit wealthy Fitzgerald family. He owns a few high-end restaurants in the Los Angeles area and has made a name for himself as a chef. He was dating a well-known food critic. He was about to propose to her the night an accident happened at this restaurant.

Because of the injury he sustained from the fire, he decided to move to his ranch in Montana. The accident or criminal act propelled him to give up his life in LA and expand his ranch in Montana.

Nikki is the sister of Chase’s sous chef who is the purported culprit, who was also severely injured at the fire. Nikki thought there was more to the story than her sister trying to burn down the restaurant and hurting Chase. So without divulging her true identity, she was eventually hired by Chase’s Uncle to work on the ranch’s website.

Right of the bat you feel the chemistry between Chase and Nikki. The attraction between them was quite palpable. It was fun to read how they tried to dance around their attraction for one another.

Surrender to Temptation was the best of the Fitzgerald series. I can’t wait to read more about the Fitzgeralds. I hope the next story is about Lex. Although, I wouldn’t mind if it’s their cousin Dean’s story next.

In the first five books of this series, I loved Chase’s flirty character. He liked to flirt with his brother’s women. I couldn’t wait for him to settle down and focus all that attention on one woman. He was such a sweetheart in the previous books. The accident changes Chase though and he’s not as flirty or fun. He’s serious and ready to settle down at his ranch. He just wants to be left alone from all the meddling of his family.

Nikki works to get to Chase so that she can help her sister. She didn’t count on falling in love. Nikki was the perfect woman for Chase. I loved how the story played out. I think this was the best book in the series. The conflicts kept coming and the suspense was killing me.

The ex-fiancé Keira got on my nerves. She was the perfect villain though. I was so glad the truth came out. I just wish Nikki would’ve shared her truth with Chase on her own. I don’t understand how Chase forgave her so easily. I don’t know if I could’ve.

Now Lex is the next book and I can’t wait! He’s the strong, silent type. The brother everyone depends on, the one who basically gave up his live to raise his brothers and sister when his father died. He’s the constant for everyone. I can’t wait for him to fall!

Chase he can be an a**, "I'll gladly pay you for the time you so badly want to spend here," he continued as if she hadn't spoken. "Winston!" I mean a really big a**, "this is not really working for me, is it?" he asked. "You are here for a whole different reason, aren't you sweetheart? Why don't I just create one of my signature picnic meals? Then the two of us can ride out to my creek and get to know each other better, hmm?" The boy has no self control when it comes to Nikki, "when he didn't speak, she looked back at him and caught him staring at her a**. She stopped, her eyes narrowing again. He grinned, not in the least bit sorry." He is really obsessed with her butt, "would you like for me to check your lovely a**? It won't take but a minute. We don't want you getting nasty bruises from your ride. Oh, which reminds me, we need to work on your riding technique." I loved reading about Chase and Nikki.

Oh help me! I love the entire Fitzgerald clan! Can I please have Lex since Eddie is taken now? Chase finally meet his match in Nikki and she didn't even have to have the threat of bodily harm, unless you count what she wanted to do to Keira, to know he loves her. Such a great book! Can we have Dean's story too, but PLEASE don't let it be with Libby! :-)

Nikki wants to find out why Dee is said to have attacked her boss, Case Fitzgerald. Also, why she would burn his restaurant down after he’d just promoted her. She just could not wrap her head around it. Here Dee was in a medically induced coma as they performed surgery after surgery as it allows her body to heal from the 40% burns of her body.
Nikki needed rest and answers so she was going to Montana before she got sick herself to get away from the hospital. It would be a working vacation that her friend Amelia and parents didn’t know about. She needs to go into enemy territory to get her answers on what happened that night at that restaurant even if it means Dee was the cause. That meant meeting with Chase Fitzgerald. The best way to do that was to be hired as the web designer he needed so badly for his ranch. Took a lot of jumping through hoops but she was hired by his Uncle Mo the lawyer owner of the firm her friend Amelia works for. Now she just needed to get Chase to accept her help.
You see Chase was blinded in the fire and had to have surgery also and is recovering but slowly and painfully still. No longer a restaurateur but a horseman, owner and breeder of race horses. He needed help on getting his files on line and a website created for his business but his sight was causing delays. All the help sent so far had been unqualified sexy women who had come to only get laid. So, when Nikki showed up he thought it would be the same so he ordered her to be returned to the airport.
Until she doesn’t back down to him, she becomes his match. At first that is not what really unnerves him it is the fact that her voice reminds him of the fire and him being unable to find Deanna (Dee) in the flames. (Dee being Nikki’s sister which he doesn’t know about). But Nikki looks nothing like her sister and they don’t even have to same last name. What was going on? How could that be? Why was this woman making everything in him react to her? She had to go she was bringing out all these feelings in him and memories too.
For unknown reasons he allows her to stay she’s glad, he’s not. They start really enjoying each other’s company. They establish this fun bantering that is so sexually charged it’s like a branding iron. As they try to get to find out information about one another there are truths left out but one thing is clear they want each other. Chase being who he is states the obvious asking straight out when will it happen? Now she is really on edge. For this and for lying as to why she is there in the first place.
Is this a no win situation? Will it all blow up in Nikki’s face? Will Chase hate her for lying to him? Will either of them ever find out the real truth of what really happened?
I enjoyed the fast paced read. Chase and Nikki have such a great chemistry that you can’t put the book down. I loved Mrs. B. and Winston too. E. B. Walters knows how to make the characters come to life. There’s a mystery, a love story, and a family saga all rolled up into one book, can’t beat that. Provided by netgalley.com

Chase Fitzgerald is a great Chef and had a couple of restaurants until the night that he was going to propose to his girlfriend. The next thing he knew he had been knocked out and his restaurant set on fire. Before he passed out the only person he had seen was his sous chef but he remembers hearing another voice. After the tragedy Chase moved out to his ranch and alienates himself from his family as much as he can. He has been getting his eyesight back but it's not enough to where he can do everything on his own much to his disappointment.

Nikki's sister was Chases sous chef and she is being blamed for the fire. Nikki cannot believe that her sister would do that. So when Chases uncle hires her to build a website for Chases Ranch, not realizing who she is, she jumps on it. She needs to talk to Chase and find out the truth so that she can clear her sisters name. She did not expect Chase to be so attractive. Their first meeting did not go over so well but as the time goes on and they start to get closer Nikki starts to wonder if she should keep deceiving him about who she is to save her sister or find another way.

Then Chase's ex girlfriend shows up at the ranch and it all hits the fan. But little does Nikki know, Chase has his own suspicions about what happened that night and all is not as it seems. Will Chase be able to get over Nikki's deceit?

I LOVED this book. I have loved this series since the beginning and this book was no different. The Fitzgerald family has been one of my favorite series for a long time now and I am always eager to read another one. I highly recommend reading this book and although it is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone.

I really loved Surrender to Temptation, this was the first of The Fitzgerald Family series that I have read but now I'm hooked.
I got this via netgalley and was worried because I have not read the others but it did not disappoint.

Chase is a great chef that owns his own restaurants. His fiance is Keira when he is about to purpose in one of his restaurants he is attacked and the place is set on fire. He manages to save Keira but not Dee one of his employees.

Nikki is Dee's sister she is a website designer. She is super worried about her sister who is in a medical induced coma because of all the burns and surgeries she is going to have to have because of the fire, but not only that she is facing going to jail.

Keira claims she saw Dee attack Chase and that the fire is all her fault. Nikki has taken it upon herself to get hired to build Chase's horse breeding business's website but to do this she has to go out to his ranch, which works great for her seeing as she wants to figure out what he knows about the fire and try to help her sister clear her name.

Chase doesn't know who Nikki is, not her ties to dee his former employee not anything about her except....he is so attracted to her and when she says he is not her type it just pushes him more to make her see how much he really is.

Nikki and Chase's story is full of everything from heartbreak to full blown drama and everything awesome in between. There love story is also hot hot HOTT!

This is a great story that everyone should check out if they want a feel good story with a crazy back story! I wish I would have read the other 5 books before this but loved the book just the same.

You can see the following review also here: http://loveandlivetoread.wordpress.co...

Finally! I wanted to read about Chase since his first appearance in the series! It was worth waiting for! I really couldn’t put the book down!

Chase is chef and owner of a couple restaurants. One day while he was planning to propose to his girlfriend someone hit him and set his restaurant on fire. Now, he’s trying to start over, away from there while trying to figure out what really happened that night. Nikki wants her sister’s name cleared because she knows that she’s not to blame for setting on fire the restaurant she was working. And she has a plan to prove it…

Nikki is a very nice woman who can do anything for her little sister. Actually, I believe that she went too far to clear her name. Nevertheless, she’s a brave woman, with a sense of humor who is not afraid to learn new things. Also, she claims what she wants and I respect her for that.

I liked Chase a lot, as I already said, since I first met him in the previous books. Of course, he’s not quite himself since the accident but that slowly changes and we can see the person we love again. What I admire most, is his determination to succeed not only in whatever business he’s into but to his personal life also. He knows he’s ready to make a family and he doesn’t waste any time.

I really like the whole series and I recommend it to all the fans of this genre!

3.5 smoking rancher stars!

Chase Fitzgerald is living at his ranch ever since a terrible accident has left him injured. Also injured is Nikki's sister. Everyone believes that Nikki's sister is behind what happened but Nikki just knows it can't be true and with her sister in a coma so has nothing to do but find out on her own. Nikki sets out to work on Chase's ranch but doesn't expect the fireworks to fly. The suspense is kind of predictable but Chase is a just enough of an alpha male to make up for that part.

I liked that Chase was straight to the point about a lot of things and who doesn't love a man that gets right to it? Nikki and Chase's banter was definitely smoking with chemistry and it was a good read. This is my first book in the Fitzgerald Family series, but was easy to pick up on its own. It would be interesting to read about some of the other characters also, as they seemed to have some depth and their storylines seemed interesting.

One of the best in the series. The story start with an aftermath fire injury in one of the Chase's restaurant. He hide in his ranch Montana, his career, dream and fiance burn to dust. Nikki sister's suspected as the person involved in the fire in Chase restaurant. Determined to clear her sister's name, she went undercover as Chase new web-site developer to get the bottom of the case. City-gal braving the ranch, Nikki is one tough cookie. She is spunky and take no-nonsense from Chase who live up to his name. She did not envision to fall in love or lust with him though. So how will she investigate the fire but resist Chase charming persona? A dramatic ending not to be missed,it is a great book, a sequel to the family saga.Recommended

Another great addition to the Fitzgerald series!

I really enjoyed the interaction between Chase and Nikki. And to add to that, we were able to see just a little more of Lex.

You don't have to read the entire series to understand the book but I can say if you don't you will be missing out!

I could write about everything that I loved about this book but I would be spoiling it for everyone! It is a MUST READ! Enjoy!

Definitely the kiss. "None of the above. I can protect myself, and I don't know you well enough to let you kiss any part of my body." She said.

I was so happy to be reading this book. I've worked with Ednah before & I absolutely love her, so when I had the opportunity to be part of a blog tour for her, I'm all in. I really liked this story and I enjoyed that she wrote it in dual perspectives. I'm always interested to know what guys are thinking because they're so different from us, how a big strong man can go down on his knees for the woman he loves it grabs my attention and I'm immediately hooked. That is what I love about this story particularly; Chase was strong and had a powerful persona, he was cocky and always got his way. Although there's a whole other side of him that is compassionate and understanding. You wouldn't think that from his descriptions of what he looks like but he's got such depth, it was really wonderful to see. He cared about his family, employees, and his horses in a way that you wouldn't think possible. That is what makes me fall for a character, how he treats others and how he cares about them, he was loyal to the ones he cared about. I also really like the family dynamic in these books, it's such a big loving family. They all care so much for each other and support each other. Nikki comes along and she puts him in his place, she different, she's strong willed like he is but isn't afraid to tell it to him straight and doesn't care that he's the boss. She called him baboon and that he was arrogant which was a total slap in the face & it was interesting to picture his expressions because it was hilarious.

Chase was living in his ranch in Montana after an unforeseen situation happened, he went into hiding to heal and start over. He was a chef but wanted to change his career path dramatically; he wanted to be a horse breeder. It's a drastic change from living in California where he was successful and rubbed elbows with the famous, to living in a ranch in Montana where everyone knew your business. That's what he wanted though, to live his dream of taking care of horses. Chase's family wanted him to settle down because everyone else was doing that around him. His family had expectations, so his uncle sent a few women to work for Chase but he really just wanted them to really work instead of this whole matchmaking scheme going on. So when Nikki showed up unannounced, he assumed that she was there to "entertain" him like the others tried doing. But she was very serious about her job, she was there to do a website for him, with ulterior motives but they weren't to seduce him. He didn't want her there because she was a distracting woman, beautiful, so he knew that she would get to him and he didn't want that.

"They've already eaten. Do you know what time it is?"

"Yeah, time you learned you don't always get your way." Nikki said.
_______________________

Nikki wasn't going away easily, she was on a mission; she needed to stay in his ranch and figure some things out because her sisters life depended on it and Chase was the only one who could help. He didn't know it but he was her last hope. Nikki was a really spirited character, I liked that she didn't back down from him. She wasn't intimidated or was fainting around him because he was so gorgeous-- not literally but you know what I mean. He always had that affect on women, they either did what he said or wanted to bed him. When Nikki showed no interest, Chase made it a priority to seduce her and prove her wrong. He saw her as a challenge he had to win, but she wasn't falling for it so easily. She had a job to do and investigating to discover, but damn if she thought he was hot.

"You're not my type." She said.
When he lifted his head, she was staring at him as though he'd lost his mind. He probably had. No woman ever rejected him because he didn't fit a mold.
Not her type? He planned to make her take back her words in three days flat.
____________________

It was amusing to see Chase and Nikki's interactions with each other. First he was trying to get rid of her, then he was trying to seduce her, then he was trying to keep her. It was so enchanting to see them falling in love with each other. Chase was a sexy cowboy and Nikki was outspoken and independent. I thought they were really great together and in between the sheets they were smoking hot.

I feel like Ednah really covered all her basics, she was very specific in her descriptions and she put together wholesome characters. She was specific about web designing and horse breeding. I enjoyed reading both sides because I'm thinking about doing some web designing myself, it's always a bonus to have something in common with a character. I also have a few uncles with farms so I know a little bit about that as well. The whole story came together pretty spectacularly. Chase is hot, sexy, and untamed and Nikki is the one woman he could never get enough of. These are essential ingredients of a scorching hot romance. When Nikki showed up at Chase's ranch it was not a matter of if she would fall for him, it was when she would, because it was inevitable. He was too hot for words.

I was really glad that I got to read Surrender to Temptation. This is another of Ednah's smash hits! She does not disappoints, she's one of my favorite authors and I always look forward to reading her books.

This is another great story in the series and fans of The Fitzgeralds will really enjoy this. This is Chase story and it's set in Montana on his horse ranch, the world building here is fantastic Ednah has done a lot of research into ranch life and it really shows in the detail as the story unfolds. Nikki is a great leading lady and the dual POV story telling flows seamlessly. Another 5 star book 😀

***I own a copy of this book. All thoughts are 100% my own***

We’re back with the final installment of the Fitzgerald Family Series. The next to last to find love and happiness is Chase Fitzgerald. The other twin. He’s the one who loves to woo women with the amazing dishes he creates. And he was doing just that, thinking he’d found his one and only, when a fire almost killed them and his sous chef. Now everyone pointing the finger at his employee, who is silent in a coma, trying to heal from her extensive wounds. Chase didn’t escape unscathed though. The blaze almost took his eyesight from him, and it killed his love of cooking. So he retreated to his horse ranch in Montana to escape prying eyes and nosy family members who mean well.

And speaking of family that means well…they hired someone to build a website for him. But it wasn’t just anyone, it was the sister to the very woman who lay in a coma. Nikki Savoy has her own reasons for seeking out Chase. Sure she’d build his website, but she wanted to see if he remembered anything that would shed light on who really set fire to the restaurant.

What he didn’t count on was how much he’d come to need her. What she didn’t count on was how much he came to mean to her. And so their story begins.

I really liked Nikki. I liked that she had no problems sassing anyone and this includes Uncle Mo and Lex. She also wasn’t afraid to feel lust and assert herself physically with a man. Too many times a woman lets all these men do things to her without owning her own active participation and even taking the assertive role. THIS wasn’t an issue with this book. There was less family involvement in this story than others. Other than phone calls, really the only family you see is Lex. And Dean…and I’m dying to know if there will be a story involving that one down the road.

Ms. Walters creates such a wonderful family that I feel that I’m a part of. And it saddens me to know that this series is over and done with. I know Lex has two books in her newest series Infinitus Billionaires. I’ve read them both and though we see snippets of them all, so it’s like revisiting. Really love this series and I can’t stress enough just how much you all need to read them. So that’s my recommendation. Like with the rest of the books in this series it isn’t meant for those who like it YA. So no kids and no clean book lovers. This isn’t erotica, it’s just steamy and HAWT!

DISCLAIMER TO MY FELLOW GOODREADER
This review is my personal opinion and may contain: spoilers, quotes, rants, cussing (sometimes I cannot help myself) and a possible full on recap. I in no way want to ruin anyone’s book reading experience so please read my words with caution.

Say it ain't so! Is this my last Fitzgerald book? Baron's identical twin Chase.

Chase Fitzgerald is a successful restaurant owner in LA. He is finally ready to settle down and he thinks food critic Keira Higgins is the one. He owns a horse ranch in Montana and plans to shift his life there to breed horses. Right when he is about to propose to Keira his new sous chef attacks him.

29 year old Nikki Savoy is going to Montana to get answers. It has been six months since her sister attacked Chase Fitzgerald and burned down his restaurant. Dee is facing a shit-ton legal problems if she wakes up from her coma. Nikki has somehow finagled her way into Chase's ranch for two weeks - she is a graphic designer for websites. Her true dream is to be an artist. Nikki arrives at Eagles Hill and Chase tells his foreman Winston to take her back to the airport. He's sick of his family stepping in since the accident that left him blind. Nikki speaks for the first time and Chase is shocked she sounds exactly like Dee. Ken is trying to help Chade find out what happened the night of the fire. Chase swears he heard a guy's voice. Ken needs Dee's laptop but Nikki mistakenly has it with her.

The two skirt around their attraction for each other and somewhat get to know each other. They are both tight lipped about certain parts of their past. Wonder how long that's going to last. Good hell half the book is over and they are STILL staying away from each other. The truth is going to come out and even though a suspicious man visited Chase's ex fiancée. Chase doesn't believe Dee set the fire but I think Nikki being her sister is going to cause a major blow. Freaking Keira shows up with Lex and things get interesting. At this point Chade and Nikki are lovers. Keira knows who Nikki really is and Nikki knows Keira knows who set the fire. Keira of course is the one who blurts out Nikki is Dee's sister and Chase does not take it well. With Lex's encouragement, she sticks around and Chase comes to his senses.

Cliffhanger – no (book 6 of series)
POV - Chase and Nikki

This is a great book to snuggle up in front of a warm fire and read. Chase is trying to recover from a fire accident in his restaurant that left him physically and emotionally scared. He left his love of cooking and went to do his second love of ranching.
While recovering, he wanted to know what happened that day in the restaurant. There was a fire and someone hit him from behind. The one person who really may hold the key to what happened has been in a coma recovering from the extensive burns. Meanwhile, Chase has hired his family detective to find out what happened.
At the same time, Nikki is also trying to find out what happened to her sister who is in a coma and uncover if her sister is responsible as accused by Kiera (Chase’s ex) for the fire that caused Chase’s restaurant to burn. So Nikki goes to Chase’s ranch to make a website for his new ranch. The thing is, she doesn’t tell Chase who she really is.
Lies or omissions never bode well in the end. And as Chase and Nikki get closer, Nikki finds it harder to come clean and tell him who she is. She doesn’t want Chase to hurt any more than he is and she finds herself concerned about him and not really asking him about what happened.
I love Nikki. She is loyal, caring, a hard worker and enjoys life. She has a talent for her job. She sings and she is a nurse. I am too so she gets extra points for that in my book!!
I love the Fitzgerald’s. I had read the earlier books but that was before I wrote reviews. I still need to read the book before this one. I love books where the family is all over everyone’s business. This book has plenty of that. That’s what got me hooked on this series in the first place. They are funny and crazy and really care about their families. I can’t wait for Lex’s story! I want to see him be happy and settle down too!
I enjoy that the drama isn’t over the top. It is more realistic and a great story to escape reality for awhile. I want a Fitgerald! But, I don’t think my hubby would like that too much!

Surrender to Temptation
There is something so alluring about a story set in the ‘big sky country’ on a horse ranch. Not just because it is so different from previous Fitzgerald settings, but because it is written in such a way that I see and feel the land and sky. I can see the horses and feel the desire to go for a ride. I am caught in the anxiousness and excitement when Chase helps Philly deliver her foal. This is why Walters is one of my favorite authors. Captivated by the stories she tells and characters she brings to life, I enjoy each new book.

There is a primary thread that runs through all The Fitzgerald Family books, family first. This is such an admirable mantra and is truly the way they live. As in Eddie’s story previously, when Amy kept secrets to protect her little family, Nikki keeps her secrets to help her sister who can’t speak for herself. As readers, we often say things like “She should have told him right earlier. He already has a detective on it.” The problem with is that so many pieces are in play and none know the complete truth, not even Lex.

If only Nikki had known Chase hired detectives to exonerate Deanna and to find out what really happened, she could have entrusted Chase with the truth. The draw to each other builds slowly, but the fireworks start not too long after she arrives. There is raw, mind-numbing, steamy. hawt sex. They find themselves fitting together perfectly. That seems to say they are perfectly matched.

Then, the ex- shows up with the taint of guilt of fore knowledge of the crime, in addition to aiding and abetting after. Finally, she gave false statement implicating Deanna in a crime she didn’t commit.

Ultimately, love triumphs over all, a Fitzgerald Family trait. This is an excellent love story meant for readers over 18. It is well-written, bringing the Montana sky to me, feel myself brushing down a horse.

I really enjoyed this great read.

Surrender to Temptation. The Fitzgerald Family. E.B. Walters
Review from Jeannie Zelos Book reviews.
I like a good contemporary romance, been a horse addict since childhood so that too attracted me, I liked the premise of the storyline for this and eagerly begun. Sadly it wasn't one for me. It reminds me very much of my mum's M&B romances of the early 70's – with a bit of spicy sex added to up the heat.
I just didn't gel with the characters, they seemed too shallow really, too light and bland. I wasn't entirely sure what Chase' problem was, he seemed to be described as blind one moment and fine the next...and considering its not long since he was ready to marry he quickly jumped into a romance with Nikki, especially given that he was very against her only days previously. The plots just slid over with no hiccups and nothing really happening or going wrong. The whole thing was just too slick for me, too convenient, too unreal. It's very well written, the characters well fleshed out even if I didn't take to them, and the settings easy to visualise. Its just there was for me a lack of anything really happening, lack of drama and emotion, lack of the highs and lows I need. It just seemed a bit too formulaic, hot couple -tick, jealous ex- tick, bit of danger- tick.... and I need a book that feels real, full of surprises, and that has lots of action. I suspect the most action in this book would result from the after effects of eating Nikki's Chilli.....
As ever though I’m just one reader and if what you want is a well written, easy to read romance, and the lack of drama doesn't bother you then you may enjoy this. Certainly those old fashioned M&Bs that this reminds me of were incredibly popular. Its average price for the genre at £3.06 for 262 pages.

Stars: two, just didn't work for me.

Delightful and lighthearted is how I would describe this book. Yes, there is a mystery to solve - who started the restaurant fire - but the rest of the book's plot is pure romantic enjoyment.

Our hero Chef Chase Fitzgerald has been injured in an arson fire at his anchor restaurant. Although he was not able to actually see who clobbered him from behind and started the fire, he has images and voices in his memory. All he has to do is get a Private Investigator to help him with the clues. He almost lost his eyesight because of this fire, so now he is determined to find out the truth. While he has been healing he has become a recluse in Montana taking care of his ranch and breeding his horses totally giving up cooking.

Nikki Savoy is the sister of the sous chef that is being blamed for the fire. Her sister Dee has been in a medically induced coma for the last 6 months while surgeries and skin grafts are done to help her heal. Nikki is determined to get to the bottom of who started the fire so she can prevent her sister from going to jail.
So Nikki takes a job as a web designer for Chase's horse breeding ranch in order to try and unearth the truth.

The banter and "horse" play (pardon the pun) between our characters is delightful. The attraction is strong and they both are intelligent, articulate, and independent persons, making for amazing banter tempting each other. Surrendering to each other is inevitable, but how they get there is a journey not to be missed.

If you have been following the Fitzgerald family saga you will find this book as enjoyable as the others. I was deeply immersed in this book... let's face it, there are some very ***SEXY*** scenes in this book!

I enjoyed this book. I've been working on the series for a couple of years it seems like, so I was a bit hazy on how the hero, Chase, fit into the Fitzgerald family but it wasn't really necessary to know. The book stood alone just fine and the author did a good job of incorporating anythng you needed to know. One thing I noticed though was that it felt like there were other series I might have missed out on and/or some series sequel bait going on. I know Lex is next up for a book but it will actually be the first in a new series, but there were hints about Chase's cousin Dean and Nikki's friend - another series or more for this one?

Anyway, about this book: I really liked the dynamic between the MCs. The only small problem I had was Chase's turnaround in regards to his attitude about Nikki. He was angry and a jerk to her because he was tired of his meddling family sending not-so-helpful assitants to the ranch and he assumed her to be the same. So he wasn't going to let her stay and then was going to drive her away. He didn't want to feel the lust he was feeling so that made him angier. Then all of a sudden, his attitude changed and he decided he was going to 'have her' and then he started having real feelings. I'm okay with the change from simply lusting to having feelings. That part felt like the natural building and developing of a relationship. But his attitude change was sudden - I felt like I had missed something. But other than that, the way their relationship developed was great. They had a real connection and that helped them in the end when the ex-fiance decided to out Nikki. All in all, a very enjoyable read and made me want to keep reading about this family.

Surrender to Temptation by E.B. Walters is the sixth book in her Fitzgerald Family series but it works quite well as a standalone book. When Chase’s restaurant goes up in flames catching his new sous-chef in the conflagration, he runs from the pain and fear, runs all the way from Los Angeles to Montana. On his ranch, he becomes a recluse, fighting daily for composure. His mix of authoritarian and fearful, gentle and brusque works very well. It is very clear that the trauma of the fire (aside from the physical issues which also exist) was significant.

Nikki just wants to protect her sister, her sister being said sous-chef. So, she goes “undercover” to find out just what Chase plans to do. Nikki is a bit naive, a bit feisty, and a lot of woman. She’s not afraid to stand up for herself, but very protective of those she loves. She also had her own insecurities tied up in family.

The mystery of the book is who started the fire and why. Nikki’s sister is being blamed, but she is also the one most hurt by it. Chase has his suspicions; Nikki wants to prove it wasn’t her sister and both of them are talking, just not to each other. But, this is the Fitzgerald family; they protect each other. The perp will be outed; the Fitzgeralds will be ok.

This was a fun book, somewhat lighthearted, and well-written. The tension between Nikki and Chase was palpable. The intrusion of the Fitzgeralds was expected and both a blessing and a curse for Chase. There is strong romance and strong suspense.

I was so excited when they both finally Surrendered to Temptation hehe..
Oh and Well I don't do spoilers but it may or may not spoil the book for you.
But anyway I'm sure you will enjoy this as I have. :)

It was refreshing to see this different side to Chase. Although at the start of this book I was like
what I total d*ck! lol.. But I mean I guess he had his reasons as his family are ones to overly involve themselves in each others life all out of love. Especially when you've gone through something horrific as he has and really each and everyone of them Fitzgeralds.

Anyway Chase and his personality was so full of Confidence, Cockiness, Arrogance, Lust etc.
And that made for a very good read.
Now Nikki Savoy! Oh that name speaks volumes! She definitely had him on his toes. She tested him on many levels and thats what I liked about her character. that and the love she had for her family no matter the differences. She was out for the truth and to save her sister and in doing that helped Chase with closure and finding out what really happened which helped her big time. She didn't expect to go to his ranch & end up falling for Chase. But man I'm so glad she went. a definite good story :)
Recommend :)

Now... Dean I need to know more about him too :)
and because I've read Impulse before these 6 books I know Lex's story but would absolutely Love Love more of him! :) hehe
PLEASE :D :D

Absolutely grateful for these stories :)

Wow! Where have the Fitzgerald's been hiding? This is book six in the series and I can't wait to go back and read books 1 - 5! I love a series that revolves around an interesting family and town, and E>B> Walters doesn't disappoint. The premise was intriguing. I didn't suffer from not having read the previous books. Ms. Walters weaves a good mystery, the suspense was well plotted. The lead couple was multi-faceted, flawed but capable of change and growth. The secondary characters were as strong and as engaging as the leads, quirky and well drawn, even the animals had personality! The pacing was even, the dialogue witty, the settings beautifully detailed and the happily ever after satisfying.

Another delicious Fitzgerald boy to drool over. This one starts with mystery but focuses mostly on acceptance and healing. Independent, bold web-designer Nikki Savoy has ulterior motives for flying out to his Montana horse ranch to meet with sexy, reclusive, ex-chef Chase Fitzgeral who keeps his past secret from her, but their attraction is undeniable, and frankly made me quite envious. Got sucked right into their sizzle, and the uncertainty of a happily-ever-after I so wanted for them kept me turning the pages.

Although this was a great read I only rated it four stars because it was too predictable. Everyone knows when you purposely set out to deceive someone it never ends well. The chemistry between Chase and Nikki was great and the whole family was fascinating although this is the first book in this series that I have read. Thanks netgalley for a read in exchange for a review.
