Part of a project where I read many different Exodus books called Escape from Egypt.

This isn't the sort of book that you read your five-year-old before bed; it's more something that your eight-year-old could read over the course of an afternoon, where every other page has a few hundred words besides one that just has a picture.

I thought this was just about the Exodus, but it actually continues through the Books of Joshua, Judges and Ruth. It obviously can't cover everything, but it gives a fairly in-depth summary of several stories. It just felt a bit random as I was reading it, though I think it would be pretty informative for a kid.
