RORY

"Rory,” she blew out.

“Yes, Hindley,” I smiled against her skin.

“I love you.” Her words sounded desperate and pleading and my stomach cramped with anxiety. I lifted off her completely.

“What’s wrong, Hindley?”

“Nothing,” she said, pulling on my neck. “I just want you to always remember, no matter what happens in the next thirty-five days, that I love you.”

I pulled her hand away from my neck and broke our embrace.

“What’s wrong? What are you talking about?”

She climbed back on top of me, taking my face in both her hands, searching my eyes for traces of something that I couldn't comprehend.

“I’m talking about the fact that I love you more than anything or anyone on this earth. I’m talking about how I’d do anything to protect you, no matter what it is.”

Her words were soft and gentle but I still felt a tug at my heart that didn't settle well with me. The feeling should comfort me and bring me great peace but tonight, I felt as if Hindley’s love for me may be her own undoing, a block around her neck that had the potential to drown her.

No matter how much I loved her, I would never let her be consumed by it. I had to be willing to pull away if ever my love endangered her life. My only problem was I was a weak motherfucker, a selfish bastard and I feared I wouldn't be able to walk away from her if that time ever came. I shook internally, realizing I’d never survive without her but knowing one day, I might have to, to keep her alive. But tonight, she was all mine and I was going to enjoy her.

In My skater boy we start out right were we left off. Hindley and Rory fighting due to Rory's insecurity's. Their chemistry is do strong and they cant stay away from each other.

Hindley is Rory's attorney/agent and they can not go public with this. This secret would hurt both their image. They are not fooling and people begin to use this against Hindley. Will she be able to keep everyone happy?

In this book we learn both Rory and Hindley's secrets. While both try to work through this secrets Rory and Hindley grew stronger.

Everything comes crashing down in one night when Rory secret is leaked to the media. Will Hindley and Rory be able to make it through? Will their insecurity get the best of them?

This was an enjoyable read. Although I liked both books, My Skater boy was my favorite out of the two. It was more then just insecurity, we learned that no matter were you from we all have problem and can be broken. Hindley and Rory grew up in two different social classes, but that didn't change the fact that they are both broken. I loved Hindley BFF Dana, she was funny and had me laughing out load many time. If your looking from and easy read with great story line this are your book.

Rory & Hindley

Hindley finds herself in a NO-WIN situation. Her boss is blackmailing her to take on a new client. The new client is blackmailing her or he will ruin the man she loves.

The self-doubt that both of these characters makes them perfect for one another. Rory always afraid people will find out his secret and think less of him. They will think he is stupid and lacking. Hindley with her bad body image and trust issues.

Hindley's choices are taken from her in this Second part to Skater Boy. She cannot win with either blackmailer so she just does the best she can and hopes for a miracle. In the end Rory and Hindley are torn apart by other circumstances but they find each other again and try to mend their relationship and move forward. Damn everyone else.

4 Skaterboy Stars!!

"On our own, Rory and I were broken and abused. But together, we were perfect."

Well I have to say I thought this was a great conclusion to Rory and Hindley's story. I truly feel the above quote sums up this book/story to a T. This book starts off exactly where book 1 stopped. I loved that there wasn't any time lost between books. We learn a lot in this book. I have to say I probably enjoyed this book a little more then book 1 because this book had everything. It continued that great love story, but we also got some suspense, some lies, and some betrayal. Just enough of each to keep you intrigued and wanting to turn the pages faster to see how it all works out. There was really only one thing I was a little disappointed in with the story line….there is something that was revealed or brought to light about something from Hindley's past that we never got the conclusion for. It's hard for me to really explain without spoiling anything but let me just say I wish I would've known what happened to this bad person in the end. I will say that I absolutely loved the Epilogue in this book. I felt it really closed Hindley and Rory's story and I was glad to see how everything turned out for them in the end. I was also glad to see we got closure on Geneva. As bizarre as it may sound, since I hated her throughout all of book 1 and most of book 2, I wouldn't mind reading a story about her (and maybe Jeremy ?) Anyway….like I said before I really enjoyed this book and storyline.

As I said before, we learn a lot about both Hindley and Rory in this installment. The things we find out about Hindley are just horrible. My heart broke for her on more then 1 occasion. What she had to endure during her college years was horrifying, but sadly, it's something that I know happens in real life :( That was one thing about this book and characters….Kay really made them seem real and believable. I felt the scenarios they encounter were truly believable and could happen in everyday life. This book ( more then book 1 ) really touched on some tough subjects….But I thought the way Kay Manis handled them was perfect. It's really hard to explain my thoughts on this, but all I can say is read the book and get the true experience for yourself. We also learned more about Rory's past in this book and what happened to him and his family. What he had to endure as a child was also horrific and something I wish no child had to go through. I was so glad to see that he had Leif, Jack, and Kara to lean on when he was younger and then in turn had Hindley as he got older.

I would definitely recommend this book/series to everyone. This book had everything you might be looking for in a love story. This series will for sure make you laugh, cry, swoon, yell, and even might make your panties melt. ( I know I won't think of Hello Kitty the same way again….LOL ) I will definitely be continuing on with this series when Dana's story comes out in Moto Boy!!!!

This book is beyond AMAZING!!

I was so hooked on book one extreme risk that I just had to know what was going to happen in book 2 and it is WELL worth your money to buy this book you will not regret it. I don't know where to start of how much I loved this book it has so much character to it so much different emotions, it's really sentimental but devastating, loving but harsh, funny but serious, so many different parts and tragedies in the main characters stories it just draws you in and you keep wanting more it's super relatable. (Spoiler Alert) I actually have a friend that's illiterate and I like how she touched on the subject in one of the main characters and showed the struggle he faced with it and how they have to learn different that was really a great part in the book but I'm a sucker for love and this book has tons of it, it was just phenomenal from beginning to end.

Both of them were happy, and just waiting for the right moment for the both of them to announce their relationship. Their reputation would suffer, most especially hers. Even though Rory didn’t like it one bit, he agreed. Just as when everything seems to be perfect for Hindley and Rory – an envious rival goes into a full-blast blackmail scheme that can ruin not just their careers but their relationship as well. Hindley gets too choose – to protect the man she loves and cared so much or risk everything she had worked so hard for, which still includes him… She was caught between the devil and the deep blue sea, a vile trap that had me on the edge of my seat as well!!!

Rory Gregor had been through enough from his past for him to be careful on whom to trust. The abuse he got from home, had scarred him for life – leaving him with insecurities and self-loathing. But now, he had finally caught the heart of Hindley Hagen. Despite knowing his secret, she stayed with him, and even helped him deal with the problem. He’s skating better than ever, and securing a lot of endorsement along the way. But then he felt than something is OFF. Just as when he thought he had broken all the walls surrounding her heart, she puts them back again. He feels she’s hiding something from him…

And I thought that was the only secret. Imagine my surprise when I was treated with a whole lot more in between the novel. I didn’t want to stop reading, I wanted to know how this thing would end. There were just too many people involve, exposing the secrets would be too much risk – so when everything was outed: hell broke loose. My heart ached until it broke, and I wonder if everything would ever be okay after.

It took one SUPER GRAND Gesture for him to get back into her good graces – him, professing his love, his apology for everyone to hear. But it didn’t stop there – I know right?! – just as when my heartbeat is about to go back to normal, another problem occurred, and it made Hindley spiraled down. Would his love be enough to bring her back?

My heart is in serious trouble all throughout reading this – but all those shift in my beats was worth it when I finally reach the ending. Everything that they have been through, even their past is nothing compared to where the both of them are by the final chapter. I very happy with the ending, and of course, I can’t wait to read Dana’s story!

The blurb says – dramatic conclusion: How dramatic is DRAMATIC, exactly? I expected sooooo much from the conclusion of the book 1 of X-Treme Boys Series, thank goodness I wasn’t disappointed! It was filled with so much twist and turns, one HUGE secret divulge on top of the other, the ultimate betrayal, and not to mention the most dramatic reconciliation ever!!!! And because of this, you, KAY MANIS, gets a spot on my favorite authors list!

Wow. Where to begin.....

** I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.**
Hilarious, touching, sexy, heart-wrenching, mind-bending and eye-opening.
I really liked the first book in this series, but this second one just blew my mind. It picks up right where Skater Boy left off, and in my opinion, it went over and beyond the first one. This time around, Rory and Hindley are absolutely certain they are completely in love. But as both of their pasts and demons rise to the surface, so do their insecurities, weaknesses and fears. I have to say that the author deviates from the standard " run away" cliche and actually works with these insecurities (and yes, thoughts of leaving each other to not cause any harm) , and brings the characters closer together and cling to each other. This particular book made me laugh so hard and cry.... The ugly kind of crying. It touches on so many sensitive subjects that I think are so necessary for people to read about. There's redemption, functional illiteracy, rape drugs, invasion of privacy, self-harm and many others. The scenes that feature these topics, while some don't go into great detail, are handled and touched upon extremely well. The whole book is written from both Rory's and Hindley's POV and perfectly presents what both characters are feeling and how they are affected by each other's actions. And at the same time and despite everything that goes on in this book ( and that's a lot), the characters, especially Hindley, are never portrayed as weak. The sex scenes are spectacular as usual , we see a lot of Rory's dominating, primal and loving side. These character's relationship found its way to my all time Top 5. They went through hell, both individually and as a couple, and the author presents an alternative to how they get through it is worthy of a standing ovation in itself. No cliches here. I could keep on rambling on, but I think you got the point. It's a MUST read.

In the dramatic, page turning, and heart wrenching conclusion of Skater Boy, Rory Gregor has everything he has worked so hard to overcome. He is getting back on top of the Pro Am skating world the unconditional love of his beautiful lawyer/agent, but can there be something in their past and present to competent derail all they have worked to accomplish.

Hindley Hagen has worked diligently to help get Rory endorsements and deals he so deserves. She will do anything to help him overcome his self-deprecating ways and keep his secret of illiteracy. Her success is becoming known as an agent/lawyer and she finds herself being pulled to protect herself, her professional career and the man that has truly and unconditionally stolen her heart. Rory's rival and archenemy Axel has found out not just his secret of not being able to read, but also loving and sleeping with his lawyer. He is blackmailing her to help his career or ruin not just her career, but also the trust she has gained gained in Rory.

Can she hold it all together or will something or someone finally ruined what they have? Secrets are finally revealed and will they tear them apart for good or will they come back to haunt them and leave devastating circumstances.

I could not put this book down, Kay has done it again, with this conclusion to this great series! I was captivated once again. Thank you Kay for your amazing series. And I am looking forward to reading what you have coming up next<3

My Skater Boy – Kay Manis
9/10 AHHH second book was just as amazing as the first one!
This book is the follow on from ‘Skater Boy’ and I have to say it is very rare that a second book is as good as the first. However this book was breath-taking!
The rare emotions flowing from Rory and Hindley as they struggle to keep their relationship a secret from the press, this becomes even harder when the slime ball Axel finds out about them and not only about their affair… he finds out about Rory and his dyslexia.
Now they are trying to handle each other’s issues as well as the blackmail coming from many angles. It is a seriously tense few pages where you just don’t know what is going to happen!!
When I read a book I can usually guess or predict what will happen to which characters but with this book I swear it was so edgy and different it just kept me guessing!
There are some moments that actually had me in tears! What happens to Hindley in her past is bad enough but to have people bring it into the present time and torcher her with it, it’s not surprise she goes off the deep end. As a reader there is no other emotion you can feel towards Hindley and her situation other than sympathy.
Rory really becomes the man that he has always thought he could never be, he steps up and is there for Hindley when she needs him most. Rory is one of the most beautiful human beings I have ever had the pleasure to read about, he’s everything a girl looks for in a book boyfriend; he’s the bad boy with a soft side, the one that has serious jealousy issues but he can’t help it so it is just endearing.
I honestly fell in love with this book couple, I will be re-reading this book series in the future, I just couldn’t get enough out of them!

The sequel My Skater Boy continues the progression between Hindley and Rory but it’s not without its trials. These two are put through the ringer, I think a medieval gauntlet would be easier to get through then what Hindley and Rory have to endure. This book is chock full of revelations and turmoil that will have your emotions reeling from one end of the spectrum to the next. There is happiness, heartbreak, vulnerability and even laughter throughout this book brought on mainly by Hindley’s comically vulgar yet awesome best friend Dana, who is an absolute firecracker. I even wanted Dana as a best friend! Manis has a way with her writing in this book that allows you to not only visualize but empathize with exactly what Rory and Hindley are going through and have to overcome. The passion between Hindley and Rory is quite apparent as well and Manis spares no detail in showing just how creatively sexual these two can get with each other, MROAW!

At times I did find myself frustrated with the constant self-doubting in the story but I think it slowly dissipated by the end of the second book which did show a sort of maturity in the characters. I also felt some of the ideas that Manis drops could have been developed a little bit better, I felt some aspects of the story seemed to be added for shock value when they could have been better expressed or discussed slowly throughout the plot. All in all I did enjoy reading these books. There are some very tender moments in this story that will warm your heart. I have always found that there is something about strength in vulnerability that people don’t always realize or see and I think Manis does a fine job in conveying this in her books.

The road to true love is never smooth and Rory and Hindley’s relationship takes some pretty hard beatings in this instalment of the X-Treme Boys series. Carrying on from where book #1 left us Hindley’s insecurities and lack of trust issues are not the only obstacles in this couples way, Rory has just as many hang-ups of his own driving a wedge between the pair. The tension really begins to build when Hindley learns of some of Rory’s demons and decides the only way to move forward is to come clean about her own past and prove to him that she too is not perfect.

Kay Manis touches on some very difficult subjects, from child abuse to rape and even dips a toe in the world of self-harming. I thought these scenes were written well and I was glad she took the time to include contacts for anyone who maybe affected by any of the areas she covered in the back of the book.

All that said, this is not a dark novel, I laughed out loud on more than one occasion and had a goofy grin on my face through much of the story. Some of the terminology used tickled me pink, especially in the bedroom scenes, which made a nice change from the crass and crude words included in so many novels just lately.

My Skater Boy is a romance with lots of drama and I will be pitching it to all my friends, everyone needs this kind of book in their lives! Rory and Hindley’s Journey may be ‘X Treme’ but I’ve enjoyed being lost in their world for the past few days and am going to miss them. I now eagerly await Dana and Peter’s story in the next book in the series Moto Boy coming in January 2014.

We start this book straight from where the last left off.... and Hindley can tend to let Rory get away with things a bit easily. I would let him stew a bit more, sexy good looking or not...he needs to crawl!!

Omg Kay Manis! The secret trip for Rory after the massive fight! ? Holy sh%t...... That was quite the show! But Rory what a cock! Men and their freaking double standards.......

At least Rory put him in his place....but I wouldn't have let him know.. Not let him off that easily! No freaking sirreeeeeee!

But wait.....that wasn't the secret......oh...the doo doo is going to hit the fan...Kay...you tease me!!

The twists and backstory certainly come out in this one.....and both have some seriously tough pasts! Seriously and just when you think you know it all Bam! you get book slapped again...

Hindley's work life is not going smoothly, everyone seems to be in on the fact that she and Rory are an item and are using it to their advantage.....Twists and turns at every page, I did miss Dana in this book, she wasn't around as much and although she did come into it towards the end, I would have loved her witty advice when Rory was being a Boy Naughty!!

I love Kay's writing, it flows, it doesn't stick on parts and dwell....
i had a few tears threaten towards the last quarter as the final bit of drama was unleashed. Geneva, i thought was maybe, a little too far. She was bad enough, but that was my opinion...

Really enjoyed these two books and am now fan of Kay Manis!!!

4 Stars!! Enjoy..

There is a third in the series coming...Moto boy which will be Dana's story.... looking forward to that.

Two damaged souls, find each other and learn to cope with the past and how to love and trust again.

Skater Boy and My Skater Boy told a phenomenal tale of Rory Gregor and Hindley Hagen and their trials on their journey to finding a Happily Ever After. The story was well written and talked about some difficult situations in life. It was also about becoming whole again when you have only felt like a half for so long.

I can honestly say I didn’t want these stories to end. I loved how it was told from dual points of view. I also loved loved loved the inner dialogue of each character. Most of the time it was hilarious reading their internal thoughts to themselves, it really helped the reader connect to each character more.

Of course, Rory and Hindley faced some trying situations. Things I would never want to face in my lifetime. They struggled to come to terms with the things of their past and situations that life had dealt them or that others had created for them. Some people were out to destroy each of them individually or as a couple no matter what the cost.

They also felt inadequate themselves and had a hard time moving past those feelings. I loved how they always thought the worst of themselves but always thought the best of the other. I enjoyed watching them help heal each other and move past their own insecurities to become the power couple they were meant to be.

There are definitely scenes that will break your heart, there were also some pretty steamy scenes but thankfully that didn’t take away the impact of the story overall. I will also never look at Hello Kitty the same again!

Hindley has worked hard to give X Games skateboarder, Rory, the comeback he deserves. The skateboarding legend has won more than just a gold medal, he’s captured her heart. Now she’s trapped, caught in the snare of a man playing a deadly game. She needs to choose to protect the one man who’s made her come alive for the first time in her life or lose it all. Hindley must do the unthinkable in order to save her and Rory. Unfortunately, protecting Rory means her own demons may surface and there is no recovery from that.

Trust isn’t something that comes naturally to Rory. Even his own professional achievements as an X Games multi-gold medalist can’t wash away a childhood filled with ugliness. He was abused as a child. But Hindley makes him a better skater and gives him confidence. His protective instincts are on overflow when it comes to Hindley. She had demons and he can’t seem to help her through it.

She is in danger now and they are both taking unimaginable risks to save each other.

Kay Manis continued the amazing story of Rory and Hindley. This book concludes their story. It will have you laughing, crying and swooning. Their story is a rollercoaster ride of emotions that will not leave you disappointed. The lengths these two will go for each other will warm your heart.

This book will have you hooked from the moment you open it AGAIN. Kay writes beautifully and makes her stories comes alive right in front of you. You cannot get enough of Rory and Hindley.

Kay is an extraordinary storyteller and makes your imagination go into overdrive.

Wow!!! I'm totally smitten with Rory #LoveHim he is such a sweetheart. Every girl should have their own Rory.

Just when I taught this story could not get any better, Kay proves me wrong by taking their story to new highs. Emotions leaps from the pages engulfing me in ways I could never have imagined.
Hndley & Rory have a rough time ahead....Extremely difficult
Their love for each other is so strong that they would do anything to protect the other. That love is about to be put to the test.

lets just say a whole lot of crazy goes down in this book that will leave you breathless. This story is so much more than a story about a skater boy. This story deals with mental disorder, dyslexia, abuse, drugs, alcohol, sexual assault, family drama, betrayal, blackmail, forgiveness, redemption, fighting for love, never letting go......need I go on you can see where I'm going with this,

Both books are AMAZING beautifully written with an effortless flow. I experienced every single emotion know to man whiles reading Rory & Hindley's story. The ending was the sweet cherry on the cake I got all chocked up because they had over come so much to get the ending they both deserve.

I highly recommend this book, it ticked all the boxes hot sexy scenes, emotional, real, deals with issues that affects people in their daily lives but more importantly it give hope and inspiration.

After how much I really liked the first book, I was hoping this one would be as good or better. And while this one started off that way, I became turned off by all the crazy things that started happening to Hindley. I realize all of it was put in there to be the catalyst for her breakdown, but it just felt like there were too many things happening all at once-it just seemed a bit much. I also don't understand why Geneva wasn't immediately held responsible for her actions by the police once her part was made known-it seemed like it was put in as an afterthought further on in the book.

Lastly, and this is kind of a pet peeve of mine, is the "tie-a-bow-on-it" epilogue. It seems kind of unbelievable that Hindley's healing (mentally) and the kids' center could have come about in just a single year later (2 years would probably be more believable to me for the center). How Hindley was able to eventually forgive her and become friends with Geneva by that point was also unfathomable to me...how do you forgive what she did and become so close to her? I mean really-she broke the law and endangered the love of your life. I just had to shake my head at that.

The writing was still good, I just did not like the way the story went. I will most likely be reading Dana's story when it comes out, I just hope it doesn't wind up like this one did.

2-in-1 review for Skater Boy and My Skater Boy

These two books follow the same characters Hindley and Rory. It is advisable to read them in sequence although you can read them out of sequence.

Hindley thinks she has a handle on her life and is just about to take the next step in her career when she meets Rory. They are two emotionally battered people who have to learn to deal with their pasts and their demons before they can both face a future together.

Their story is well written. Some of the emotional conflict was heart-wrenching in places but the love scenes were oh-so-sexy. These characters were realistic and their struggles lifelike. Within all that there was still humour and fun, making this an enjoyable read.

In the end I was cheering Hindley and Rory on until they got their happy ending. It was so easy to fall in love with them as a couple. Despite everything they always thought the best of each other. And I couldn’t help sighing blissfully at the end.

If you enjoy sports romance or romance in general, go and pick up a copy.

This book picked up right where the last one left off. Which is good considering the last one was so abrupt.

The last book seemed to have a lot of stuff going on and this one was no different. We really learned a lot about Rory and Hindley. If I had thought their pasts were tragic before, this new information really showed just how broken these two are.

While I really like these two together, it almost seemed like there was so much drama going on and everything else was pushed back. But that being said there was also some focus on other things that I was worried would get pushed to back, such as Rory's illiteracy. In fact, those scenes with him alone were probably some of my favorite. Even though I felt like the drama was over the top and so many bad things thrown at these two people in a way it was believable. Some people really do go through a lot of shit in their lives.

I loved the ending of this book though and I hope going forward that any glimpses we will get of these two in other books that their drama has finally ended.

The story picks right up where we left off. The heartbreaking scenes along with the laugh-out-loud funny lines Rory comes up with makes this book even better than the first. They help each other with their issues. They are both so insecure and have such troubled past. I love how even after Rory’s temper flares - he’s quick to apologize to Hindley.

Will Rory and Hindley break through their past and their insecurities to manage the wonderful relationship they have if the can fight for it?

A good deal of the story takes place in their heads. If you like a lot of conversation, as I do, it can make the book a bit slow feeling. I wouldn’t call this a quick read but I got so invested in the romance of the two of them it was more than ok.

I highly recommend this series!!! Kay Manis has began with a wonderful debut series that I’m sure everyone is going to fall in love with. The characters are wonderful and the story is amazing. I can’t wait for Moto Boy, Dana & Peter’s story later this month!!

Skater Boy and My Skater Boy are simply amazing and fabulous books. They both follow the story of Hindley Hagen, an attorney and Rory Gregor, a professional skateboarder.

These two both have hard and dark pasts. The demons of their past are still present. They both fear of the past and have their own insecurities.

Their relationship wasn´t easy. It was challenged a lot of times and they had to overcome those challenges in order to move forward and have their HEA.

This story simply captures your attention from the very beginning and keeps it captured the entire time.

The characters are all very likable and lovable. I love the banter between them.

One thing that I especially love is the author´s captivating writing style that simply keep you focused.

Wonderful series and definitely one of my favorite.

Can´t wait to read Dana´s story.

**DEBBIE'S REVIEW**

WOW!!!!! Fantastic, Powerful, Suspenseful, Emotional is the best way to describe book 2 in this series!

This book picks up where book one left off in the HEAT of Passion and Drama!!! Rory & Hindleys story was an emotional rollercoaster that will have you laughing one minute and crying the next. There were so many twists and turns in this story and it hit on some Powerful and Intense issues and Author Kay Manis did it with sheer class!!

I did not see some of the plot twists that were thrown at me and that is what makes this book so Fantastic!

It was one Emotional Rollercoaster ride but well worth it and I can not wait for the next book in the series! It is Dana’s story and I can only image it will be another 5 star read!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A great continuation from Skater Boy (book 1 of the series) and just as good! A great read for any fans of the genre but I strongly suggest reading book 1 first. My Skater Boy is NOT a standalone read!

Hindley has a lot more secrets buried than I originally thought. Very deep ones! We learn a lot more about her, her past and the reasoning behind many of her actions. I truly adore this chick!

Rory is experiencing a variety of new, pretty much alien feelings and does not know how to control them or his actions. Once having his mind set in life and its direction and now set on much more. Can he do it and have it all?

I'm very happy with the ending to this story and how it took off from the first book. I adore all of the characters and even liked the evil step sister a bit by the end. A very satisfying read all around!

I had to walk away from this book a couple of times while reading this- THAT'S HOW ENCOMPASSING THIS BOOK WAS FOR ME! I started this last night, and couldn't seem to stop, except when the suspense actually felt too intense for me. It had all the elements of a great continuing storyline (If you haven't read Skater Boy, you NEED to read that before this- My Skater Boy is a sequel) of romance filled with angst, trauma, despair, then hope.

I've been recommending Skater Boy to friends, and now have a second book to recommend them!

My only point of sadness is that one point of Hindley's life wasn't resolved- but I hope that the subplot regarding the one who was in jail (sorry, don't want to spoil any part of this book for you) gets some attention in future books. I know that timeline-wise, it's not possible to resolve this, but I'd just love to have this addressed in future books!

Wow

First off, Kay Manis ripped my heart out. It's ok cause she put it back together again. This book was great. I love that it brought out to light a lot of real problems. Problems a lot of people struggle with. It really makes you relate to the characters.

Hindley and Rory really are perfect for each other. Like two puzzle pieces that just fit. I really liked how real this book is. When dating we all go through some type of inner monologue about if we are good enough, smart enough, pretty enough. This story could be about anyone.

Everything that Hindley and Rory, as well as the other characters, go through just makes this story so much better. So much real. Doesn't hurt it also brings skateboarding and the X Games out. I'm not one to write a lot of reviews (not that great at it lol) but overall I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone.

Very hot book. Rory and Hindley take their relationship to new levels. Emotionally and physically. So much happens in this book, you will definitely take the journey with them.
We don't see a whole lot of BFF Dana in this book, but rumor has it she will have her own book. Yay!!
I did miss smart-ass Dana though.
Not just Rory and Hindley's relationship progress but her relationship with her parents and yes dare even say Genvea! Gasp!!
If you read book 1, you have to read this one. You have to know what happens.
Rory and Hindley are still hot through most of this book. But be warned, your emotions will be all over the place. There were so many times I wanted to punch the shit out of Rory, slap Genvea and shake Hindley.

I absolutely loved this series and was very thankful that I had both books, so as soon as I finished the first I was able to dive right into the second one with not a moment to spare. The two main characters are wonderful. I just fell in love with Hindley and Rory. They were SO hot together and you could just feel the sexual tension floating off of them in waves. They both had to overcome a lot of issues, both with themselves and with others. They each had secrets that the other was scared to reveal to the other. I loved watching them grow and develop throughout their relationship with each other. These two books are filled with twists and turns that will keep you on your toes constantly wanting more. Wonderful reads! ~Lauren
