The bottom line: A remarkable, comprehensive, and eye-opening guide to all dimensions of the spiritual battle.

Not only does The Handbook for Spiritual Warfare start from the beginning and build a sound Biblical foundation for spiritual warfare, but it also manages to execute, in very realistic and practical terms, how this understanding manifests and applies to the life of the modern believer, the life of the Church, and the lives of Christian leaders.

Indeed, as any mature Christian is fully aware, the spiritual realm is very real and is to be taken very seriously. This may seem obvious, yet spiritual warfare is often neglected in mainstream Christianity and is even largely ignored in some institutions of higher theological education. The Handbook for Spiritual Warfare makes it clear that ... http://www.chesadaphal.com/handbook-s...

This book was very instrumental in helping me understand a lot about spiritual warfare. Further at the end of this book there is lengthy group deliverance prayer that is just awesome. If there was anything I could take away from this book it would be knowing the difference between a power encounter and a truth encounter.

Involved. Comprehensive. Informative. I've had this book on my shelf for a long time. I'm glad I finally braved the size and print and read. Now to apply his knowledge.

The Handbook for Spiritual Warfare by Dr. Ed Murphy is a comprehensive guide to understanding and engaging in spiritual warfare from a biblical perspective. The book covers the three dimensions of spiritual conflict: the world, the flesh, and the devil, and provides practical advice on how to overcome them. The book also addresses the dangers and pitfalls of careless or excessive spiritual warfare ministry and warns against the misuse of spiritual gifts and authority. It’s not a throwaway read; the book is intended for leaders and mature believers who want to equip themselves and others for spiritual warfare. It is based on the author's extensive research and experience in the field, and draws from various sources, such as theology, psychology, sociology, anthropology, and history. The book is a valuable resource for anyone who wants to learn more about the reality and nature of spiritual warfare, and how to effectively resist the enemy's schemes. The book is not a sensationalized or sensationalizing account of spiritual warfare, nor a manual for casting out demons or performing miracles, but a sober and balanced treatment that is faithful to the Scriptures and the teachings of the church; a handbook for living a victorious Christian life in a fallen world.

It's a hard read very wordy but it has the best appendixes. I would buy it again just for those.

This book is pivotal in opening up your eyes to the spiritual realm. This book was gifted to me by a beautiful soul, my counselor, and friend. The timing of getting this book with prior Bible Studies with Priscilla Shirer - Armor of God, Battleplan for Warfare Book, then this book felt divinely aligned.

I started reading it late 2020. I have continued to read through it while seeing realtime deliverances via 5F Church + Apostle Kathryn + other things as I travel right now.

Ed does an amazing job tying everything to scripture, sharing his own experiences in the spiritual realm, deliverances, and much much more. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to open their eyes, recognize the warfare in our lives and around us, realize the power of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

This book is not for the faint of heart. It is definitely written in a theological style, but not without personal experiences from the author being described. This book is for the intellectual as it is for the curious truth seeker. Dr. Murphy lays the foundation of scripture very thoroughly that it can take some time for a person new to the word more time to digest the topics being discussed in this book. However, I guarantee that once you make the commitment to read and finish this book, you will find yourself hungering for books like this thereafter. It is definitely worth the read!

This book was a broad study of the subject. It went broader than that also covering the whole gospel. It had a few good specific events where the author was dealing with demonization. Wasn't what I was looking for, though. But, if you need a reference book on the subject, this is a complete one.
