Some top-tier content: loved the intro of a competing Ultimate Menu, the kid with the musical but stigmatized regional accent, and the fun cheap-eats potluck. The story of the poor girl who was scared of foreigners and lobsters was funny, weird, and sweet in its resolution, and definitely not the sort of story one could write about a white kid (and maybe not one that should have been written about a Japanese kid? She was like in high school, her parents were way too chill in allowing her to hate foreigners for years 🤔)
