Well here it is the last installment of DARKEST FLAME.

Wow is all I can say. Kellan and Denae are back and fighting hard. They know they have strong feelings for each other but don't know how to express them. She fought the Dark Fae for him. He protected and got her through the harrowing experience. But she knows that she has to leave and try direct the dark fae away from her dragon kings. They are destined to be together but neither of them are willing to acknowledge them until the day they find their way back to each other.

This was a great ending to the series. Donna wrote a great series where there are alpha men/dragons. the light and dark Fae wars. Then we have the women who are strong enough to be part of each dragon's life.

There are good twists and turns in the story that will so keep you reading all night long. Trust me I couldn't put the novellas down. You can get all four novellas in a full book also. If you are interested in that aspect.

The pace of this book is fast and you really get caught up. Oh yeah the sex is really hot. I do mean HOT with a capital H. You also can feel the tension between the the Dragon Kings. They are falling in love one by one and the king is having a hard time with it. So loved it, it added a bunch of tension between the characters

I will admit this was my first set of dragon books I have read, I loved it and will be reading a bunch more. I will also be picking up a bunch more of Donna Grant's books. I am loving her writing. So if you really want a great summer read, full of dragons, fae and the woman they love . Check out this series . you will love it . Its a great read for by the pool or at the lake. So add it to your kindle

I give this a 5 out of 5 stars

I give this a 4 out 4 on the erotica scale

A great battle finally comes and the writing brings it to life. Imagine the paranormal being come to life in the mind's eye we feel their anger, hope and fear. Especially Kellan when he finally realizes his true emotional feelings towards Cassie and a possible future without her in it.

My rating of "Darkest Flame - Part 4" is 5 out of 5 stars.

Well this is it the fourth and final part of this story about Dragons , the Fae and MI5! Yes it's a bizarre idea and yet this talented author has pulled it off. This is a book that has been split into four sections so please read in order otherwise the story won't really make much sense and besides why miss out on the gorgeous Dragon Kings?
Kellan and Denae have gone through so much together to escape from the Dark Fae who had taken them prisoner. They have just one more battle to fight or do they? As they struggle to escape from Ireland it's clear that meeting Kellan has changed Denaes life forever and there's no place in his world for a human. Denae is an intelligent woman though and she's not going down without a little payback but sometimes her choices aren't based on all the facts. Kellan starts to realise that he wants to keep Denae by his side but is he too late?
I've loved this story as it was pure escapism. I'm quite new to this authors work but the pictures she paints with her words are so vivid and inviting that it's been a pleasure to spend time with her Dragon Kings. Don't misunderstand though as although I've loved this tale I'm left still wanting more. In this the final instalment the reader is left with lots of unanswered questions. We have a mysterious Dragon King Tristan whose background is beyond perplexing and that's surely an arc to carry into another book. There's also mystery surrounding one of the Dragon Kings and Rhi a Light Fae. I would like to say that Rhi is a fabulous snarky character who steals every scene she's in! Also Con the King of Dragon Kings is really starting to confuse me as his motives seem murky. I need more!
War is coming and these Dragon Kings along with the Warriors are firmly in it's path. The Dark Fae have nefarious plans that must be stopped if humanity is to survive. MI5 are being manipulated to orchestrate a cruel revenge and in the midst of all that there's still time for love! Passionate dragons to warm the coldest night and an adventure that's just heating up! Recommended

Great conclusion to the Darkest Flame serial.

I really enjoyed the series as a whole, and Denae and Kellan were such a great match. I loved their journey, especially Kellan's part in it, how he went from loathing humans, to having feelings for at least one, and then to his ultimate outlook on humans as a whole.

The secondary characters were also fantastic, both the rest of the Kings and Rhi, the Light Fae. She's very intriguing, I love the mystery surrounding her "love". I won't go in to specifics because that was one of the best parts about Rhi.

I loved this serial enough that now I want to go back and read the beginning to this series. This serial is a part of Grant's Dark King series, and while it's not imperative to read the backlog before starting this, it would help in getting a feel for some of the characters who already had established relationships and mates. I fully intend to start the rest in the near future. And as with this one, they can be purchased in "parts", or collectively in Dark Heat, which contains all of the previous stories. I also fully intend to continue the series as a whole (after going back, of course), by reading the next novel in the series, Fire Rising. Fire Rising centers around Tristan, the newest King, and we were introduced to him in both parts 3 and 4 of the Darkest Flame.

As for this particular serial, it is available in serial form in 4 parts, or collectively in the Darkest Flame novel. If you do decide to read the serial version, they need to be read chronologically to understand the complete story. And beware - each installment (with the exception of 4) ends on a major cliffhanger, so if this is something that bothers you, I would suggest the novel.

**Book received on behalf of the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

If I were to rate all four novellas as one book, I would give the book about 4.5 stars.
This was a great ending! Loved this match between Kellan and Denae... :) Keelan is such a sexy character. And Denae falls into my favorite heroine category as an all around tough, smart and independent woman. There is closure with this book in regards to Kellan and Denae but still an on-going story in regards to the overall plot. The Dark Fae are up to something and things are changing for the Dragon Kings. I am very, very curious about Tristan and how he came to be a Dragon King. I also love, love, love Rhi... the awesome female fae and can't wait to re-visit her character. Her back story is very intriguing... I need more!
As I've said before I highly recommend that you start this series with book one... Dark Heat... so that way you can be fully invested into the back stories of all of these characters. AND... this series of novellas looks to be published into ONE book on the 29th... the same day that this final novella will be released. So, no need to buy each of them separately unless you just prefer reading them that way.
I'm officially hooked on this series now and I'm looking forward to future installments!

'I received this book from the publisher through Netgalley'

This is the fourth part of the book.

I loved the ending of this book. Kellan and Danae both had a lot of learning to do. Kellan has to learn that not all humans will betray you. Danae has to learn how to trust. I love all of the characters so far with the exception of Con, at this point anyways. As of now he seems like a real jerk. I'm hoping that further along in the series he will change.

I absolutely love the Light Fae, Rhi. She is witty and pretty bad ass. I was rooting for her to knock Con's pompous ass down. I like that even though she as a light fae is not supposed to help the dark kings that she does anyways. I'm am quite interested to find out which of the Dragon Kings was her lover at one point in time. I have my suspicions. This is definitely a book that I would re-read. I will be working on getting the rest of the series and starting from the beginning, and I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series, Darkest Fire part 1. I definitely recommend reading.

Can I give it a 10?
Couldn't wait to get this as an ARC. Now I'm mad because I finished it too soon.

You really need to get this as soon as it is available.
I was so excited to get it and so upset when I finished it.
I honestly wouldn't have loved it in parts 1, 2, 3, 4 unless they were all released together. I dont like books that are "part" of a story. While this is the 4th in the series the excitement of what is coming next isn't diminished.
You get closure in the story but its still open for the next book because it isn't done. You don't feel bad because the story is to continue. Your waiting for the next "chapter" in the form of another complete book.
I liken it to a really good TV series. Each book is a "Season" and they all are complete stories but end in a cliff hanger.

I want the next one please.
But because I cant have it I will just have to go back and read them again!

Scotland and Dragons! A winning combination!

This was a FABULOUS read with sexy, macho DRAGONS and FAE. It's loaded with espionage and sizzling, awesomely hot romance!

The Darkest Flame was originally published as a four-part serialized story. The 1st three parts leave the reader with major cliffhangers. I am NOT a fan of serialized books and I avoid cliffhangers if I can. Fortunately, The Darkest Flame is now available all together - that's the way I read it - and I inhaled the book all in one day! I absolutely could not put it down once I started it. My review is for the whole book.

Just fair warning, I am writting the same review for parts 2, 3, and 4. This is because I was so engrassed that I had to do one after another with out stopping until I reached the end. First off, I like how the book is serialized. I find I read them much faster because it feels like a short story. I also like where the author chose to put her breaks. They make sense in the way that the story moves. I have many other Donna Grant books on my ereader that I have downloaded but have yet to read, and I can garentee that will not stay that way long. I like the mix of romance, action, and supernatural. I too now want to date a dragon king.

Denae is still awestruck by Kellan’s surprising talents. At first she was afraid of him but now he is breathtaking. Each hour in the dark place she is counting the minutes when they can finally be together again. Dragon’s don’t exist she once thought but Kellan is not just any dragon.

Book provided by the publisher.

Brilliantly written and descriptive with an exciting plot and characters.
Even though all the parts of the serial were good I don't understand why it was separated and if I hadn't read them one after the other my ratings my have been different.
It's an interesting world and I'm looking forward to reading more

Darkest Flame, Part Four brings this story to a satisfying conclusion. Then it hints at the coming war between two forces of good and evil. My only recommend is that if you haven’t read any of the story yet, by all means buy the complete story with all four parts.

This is an incredible story!!! Being split into 4 seperate books added to the anticipation, and totally delivered!!
I love Danae... The way she kicks butt without a second thought, she's awesome. Kellan never knew what hit him... thinking that all humans are the same, but she showed him!
