DEFEATS AND EVIL PORTENTS Hoping to break Fairy Tail's humiliating losing streak at the Grand Magic Games, Elfman prepares to face Bacchus, an old enemy of Erza's. Away from the tournament, a still recuperating Wendy is kidnapped out from under even Natsu's sensitive nose, and Carla experiences a terrible vision: A white knight, the palace of the king of Fiore in ruins and Lucy singing as the capital burns!

Ahhh so it seems that day two of the Grand Magic Games has revealed that not only does Natsu get motion sickness on moving vehicles but so does Gajeel… as well as every other dragon slayer. Hmmm interesting?!
Millianna is back! She and Ezra had a little reunion together. We learned that she’s now joined the mermaid heel guild! While Shô and Wally are still out journeying.
… but then it turns out that Millianna hates Jellal and wants him dead ):
Also what is this Eclipse? And what has it got to do with Lucy?
ASPECTOS NEGATIVOS - El fan service.
I don’t like neither Lector nor frosh. Especially, Frosh always makes me irritated .👺👺👺 Can’t he say only “Fro I think so too.”?!?! Please don’t speak anymore. On the other hand, Bacchus is soooo cool🙀💖 I think he is really a strong man so perhaps he will be one of key persons in this battle competition. I cheer up you, Bacchus!! 😻😻😻
I LOVE these comics so much, but bro.... WHY do you gotta sexualize the youngins so much?! You literally have pictures(drawings) of nude kids and adults posing for the "magic guild's magazine", and half nude underage girls with their titties popping out left n right, and up-skirt pix all throughout the issues. This manga is meant to be read by children! Like I'm trying SO HARD not to be a prude about this shit but when you show me naked and half naked underage people I'm just like.... wtf, surely this is meant for "adults" right, but then when the kindle rating says the target age is 12-18 yr olds and reading grade level is 7-12 I'm like hold the fuck on here! On their own the stories are very wholesome and sweet and send a good message throughout, BUT if these were ACTUAL photographs stored on MY PHONE, I'd SURELY have agents knocking on my door, putting ME in cuffs and carting me and my children away, lol! What's REALLY fucked up is that You even sexualize Wendy, the 12yr old lil girl in these stories, and the ONLY reason it's probably not any worse than it currently is, is bc the girl is flat chested and she bitches about it constantly! I THOUGHT, nay, I hoped it'd all stop and atleast be more "appropriate" after the 7 years with the guild members being gone, but NOOO, you somehow managed to keep them all the same age nearly a decade later! It's seriously like watching Matthew McConaughey in Dazed and Confused saying "I keep getting older but they stay the same age"... Hiro, I love your work, but I'm concerned for ya buddy. You could atleast be like every other pervy letch out there and just "pretend" to NOT know their real ages and then just let the readers decide "how old or young they are" internally, I guess, but the fact that they're all labeled as like 12-17 yr olds with lengthy bios and are STILL dressed like sex workers.... buddy... c'mon now. Step one is admitting you have a problem, lol. 🤨
Now, Excuse me while I go pour myself a double and go wash out my eyes with bleach. Hopefully I'll eventually be able to unsee that creepy old dude with the tattoo where his tiny weenis should be, and the naked image of the scrawny 16yr old blue pegasus boy outta my head, but I HIGHLY doubt it'll be tonight...... You scarred me Hiro, you scarred me real deep! 🧏🏻♀️
The tournament continues! As we're moving forward, we're learning more about the other six guilds in the battle (Less Blue Pegasus and Lamia Scale since we know them from before) and some of the pictures seem to be a little more complicated than others. After a pair of rough losses the first day, Fairy Tail team A is definitely getting all fired up.
One amusing thing, to me at least, was that we learned a little something about dragon slayer physiology. Not sure what exactly it means or what to think of it, but there it is.
Also, there are a couple battles in this I liked quite a lot.
3.5/5 I've put down Fairy Tail for the last couple months now it's time to get back into the mix. Still in the middle of the Grand Magic Games Arc. There is some background plot going on involving the council wanting to kidnap Lucy which is pretty meh so far but it hasn't built up yet.
The games this time around were pretty goofy. A mix of serious fights like Elfman V. Bacchus. But then the games involving the Dragon Slayers is stupid. Then there's Mirajane V. Jenny Realight which is also dumb but at least it's sexy so I will forgive it. I am also here for the fanservice after all.
The last 2 Celestial Keys also come in to play as well. And it's during the volumes last couple chapters where things pick up a little.
Fairy Tail Team A, Bacchus, Kagura, and Yukina on the cover of Volume 33.
Elfman had such an awesome moment in this volume! I LOVED that about this entry that for once it was one of the secondary characters that stole the show! It was also interesting learning more about the Celestial Wizards (and seeing some new keys too!). I just Mirajane had a real fight, although I love this series for the friendship aspect and can ignore fan service for the most part, this one was a little annoying.
This volume is heavy on the action (again) like last volume and so to not ruin the revelations one has to avoid saying too much. Fairy Tail starts a bunch of side bets for the winner of matches and the stakes are pretty HIGH!!! Meanwhile we learn that 12 keys can bring about something...something EPIC! Wendy is kidnapped and a terrible vision hangs over the Fairy Tail guild! Lots of story and action packed into this exciting and always entertaining volume of Fairy Tail.
All of the motion sickness!!!! That was the funniest thing and I'm happy to learn this weird fact lol. Other than that Elfman's battle was great to read and hearing more about celestial wizards is probably one of my favorite magics to learn about. A lot happened in this volume that builds for the next coming events but at the same time, it's not as memorable as I would have hoped.
I liked the main story, the hints of the bigger story and the looks into other guilds, my favorite part was actually in the bonus chapter. It was just kind of sweet how Blue Pegasus stuck together, and from a shrewd business perspective probably increased the magazine sales once word gets out.
