Kat is determined to give her sisters the secure home and love that she herself had never known as a child because of their awful irresponsible mother. She has borrowed a small fortune to turn her old farmhouse into a bed and breakfast business but she is deep in debt and she knows that only a miracle will dig her out of the financial hole she is in. When Russian tycoon Mikhail Kusnirovich meets Kat and falls in lust with her she resists and rejects him. Since he is not used to women say no to him he offers to pay off her debts—in exchange for a month on his yacht thinking this is the only way to break down her defenses.

Amazing love story between two people find their way to each other against all odds, and an alpha hero who does the impossible, believes his own senses and trusts the heroine. He even defends her fiercely when his lawyer insists she is a gold-digger. Now that's a change! I loved how they loved each other so totally, how he believed in her and never mistrusted her for a moment. That's a real alpha hero. He has a dark side, he is reserved and sees his obsession with Kat as a weakness but he never disrespects her or mistreats her. He is terrified of needing her so much and being vulnerable but he can't help it. He is just swoon-worthy!

Kat is five years older than Mikhail and she thinks of herself as a cougar for falling for him. That made me laugh cause her inner voice is just so funny. She is cautious, prim, classy and very strong even when dealing with an alpha male such as Mikhail. So glad she got her HEA with Mikhail and their twins!

5 plus stars. A perfect love story filled with passion, beauty and some angst!

Loved This

When Lynne gets it right, she gets it so right. This hero was awesome. The heroine actually annoyed me a little at the beginning for the way she treated him. Lol. I haven't had that happen very often. I loved their bickering and his exasperation at not understanding why they were bickering and I loved his honesty. When that OW tried to cause trouble, I knew she was lying. He was too honest and honorable person to do that. The minute he called her back from the helicopter I knew he was in love. Really really a great story and the epilogue was epic. Needed this story today and it delivered! I almost want to read it again. Can't believe I never read this before. Safe.

I liked that h was older than H, as that is not typical in a Harlequin. But she was just too self-deprecating and obsessed with her status as a spinster and cougar. Relax girl, you're only 35!

There was also too much of the martyr in her and those issues were never resolved at the end, especially with the bitchy sister that she martyrized herself for and who never realized all the sacrifices that were made for her. I mean, come on, give us some sort of comeuppance or grovel. But no, bitchy sister remained her bitchy self to the end, constantly undermining h's self-confidence and happiness.

Overall, it was frustrating to have an older, supposedly mature heroine who acts no better than those young twits we are forever seeing in the romance genre.

H was all mine, mine, mine obsessed, and possessive with her, so that part was very typically Harlequin. But because of the aforementioned issues, I had a hard time believing in his attraction to her, which is supposed to be based on how strong she is and constantly defies him. I did not see it. She acted insecure and childish.

Ultimately, it felt like I would forget all about this by next week.

Lynne Graham is one of my favourite Mills & Boon/Harlequin authors and I was really looking forward to her new series. Four sisters and their billionaire heroes……..what could be more exciting.

A rich man’s whim is the 1st in the A bride for a Billionaire Series and I was excited to discover that it had an older heroine ----a bit apprehensive about the Russian hero…I am not enamored by the new oligarch’s……but nevertheless I was prepared to overcome my prejudices and just enjoy the story.

I felt so disappointed that I had to skim over a lot of the pages…..all that sex scenes…now don’t get me wrong…I love sensual and sexy parts in a story but wow….every few pages…after a bit it became so repetitive for me….never mind that the heroine is a virgin at 36…yes 36 I did you not!!!!!!

It’s the usual plot….poor girl meets rich guy, he wants her in his bed before he helps her…they have loads of secrets but in the end….HEA!!!!

What did not work for me were the two mc’s. I could not engage with either…talk about disconnection here….. I found Mikhail to be arrogant, obnoxious and self-centered – allright, he had a terrible childhood but that’s no excuse.

Lara made no pretence of not grasping the question. ‘You must understand that even when he was a boy he was very much in demand. He excites women because very rich, handsome and still young men are rare. They all want to be the one he marries but he doesn’t want to get married."

Really??????[image error]
I so did not like the way he treated Kat -
Kat was already very tense. ‘You chose my clothes … personally?’
‘Why not? I’ve been buying clothes for my women since I was eighteen,’ Mikhail fielded with lazy assurance.
 photo tumblr_ls5i6rIoZk1qfh9lv_zps15a27421.gif
ROLLING MY EYES AGAIN!!!!
‘I’ve been used by many women,’ he traded with cool cynicism. ‘For sex, for money, for my connections. It happens to all of us. You can’t protect yourself from such experiences and it’s spineless to run away from them—’

‘But I don’t want this,’ Kat told him feverishly, her slender body rigid as steel in the imprisoning circle of his arms.
‘Let me show you what you want,’ Mikhail husked with unassailable cool, long fingers closing into a handful of russet curls to draw her head back

‘This is for you …’ Mikhail tossed a jewellery box carelessly on the bed where it landed beside her suitcase. ‘A small token of my … my appreciation,’ he selected with cool precision.

And then there’s that whinging from Kat….who supposedly loved having sex with Mikhail…REALLY?
‘You’re crushing me,’ she protested, struggling desperately to catch her breath again.
Mikhail expelled his breath and released her from his weight, rolling onto the bed beside her before pulling her back into his arms to kiss her with lingering appreciation. ‘You set me on fire,’ he muttered thickly. ‘But the moment I stop I only want to do it again—’
‘Forget it … I won’t be capable of moving again this side of midnight,’ Kat mumbled, her body still pulsing and thrumming from the intensity of her climax, her limbs resting so heavily on the mattress that they felt like iron weights.

Okay, so for me – not a great start to the series…but I have hope that the next three books will “grab” me…this one, it was okay but not exactly awesome.

GREAT START TO THE SERIES

How refreshing to have a heroine who's 35 and older than the hero. Plus she's nobody's pushover. I really liked her. I also liked him.
Kat Marshall is the oldest of her sisters and has always been both mother and father to them. But things are not good financially. When she meets Russian billionaire Mikhail Kusnirovich he makes it clear he wants her, but she's having none of it. Determined to have his way he buys up her debts. In exchange for her spending a month on his yacht with him. But even when faced with his proposition she still holds firm to her self respect and makes it clear she won't sleep with him.

This is a far superior offering than LG's recent efforts, okay the heroine is still a virgin at 35, but this is still an enjoyable read. Yes it's a bit cliched here and there, but you expect that with a M&B. I liked it.

Fascinating change of pace

Kat Marshall is a 35-year-old virgin who has spent the past 12 years raising the younger half-sisters that her callous, flighty mother has abandoned. Currently the bank is on the verge of foreclosing on Kat's bed-and-breakfast, which has been the only means of supporting her and her sisters all these years. In addition, Kat's 23-year-old sister is pregnant by a man she won't name and has come to live with Kat because she has nowhere else to go. Then suddenly, in the middle of a blizzard, three men show up on Kat's doorstep seeking shelter at her bed-and-breakfast, one of them with a sprained ankle from a hiking accident.

Thirty-year-old Mikhail Kusnirovich is the only son of a deceased Russian oil oligarch. Mikhail's workaholic approach to business has massively extended the fortune he inherited into the billionaire range. He is a gorgeous alpha male who can (and has) had any woman he wanted since puberty--until Kat. The moment he sets eyes on the flame-haired beauty, he's determined to make her his lover, but Kat has no intention of being another notch on the Russian tycoon's bedpost.

Mikhail has never been told, "No," by a woman in his life, but rather than being discouraged, he is more determined than ever to have Kat. The problem is how best to accomplish his sensual goal. He has never paid a woman for sex in his life. It is abhorrent to him. But when he has Kat's background checked and discovers her terrible financial situation, he decides, with much misgiving at this violation of his principles, to make her a financial offer she can't refuse. He buys up the mortgage on her property and tells her if she will spend a month with him on his yacht as his hostess, he will sign over her property to her, free and clear. He salves his pride, and Kat's, by assuring her that nothing sexual will happen between them unless it's her idea. But he's confident that with her conveniently pinned to his side, day and night, her seduction is inevitable.

There is no other Harlequin Presents author that I read but Lynne Graham. The requirements for this line are so narrow, it takes real brilliance to write essentially the same story again and again, year after year, and virtually every book, make the old, new once more. Lynne Graham has that gift. It also takes major talent to write romance-novel sex scenes that are not a boring list of body parts swelling and heaving. I almost always skim them these days, because I've read so many across decades as a big romance fan, rarely does it feel like anything to me but, "Ho hum." Not so with Lynne Graham. She does what not enough romance authors manage to achieve--bring so much intensity to the interactions between her protagonists both outside and inside the bedroom that the sex scenes are filled with drama and emotional fire. Sex is never for its own sake, it serves to reveal new facets of the protagonists' personalities as it both brings the lovers together and pushes them apart, at the same time.

I was also delighted to see in this story a Harlequin Presents with a cougar plot, which I have never encountered in this particular short-contemporary line. In a bit of comic relief in the midst of a very dramatic story, when Kat learns Mikhail is five years younger than her, she recoils from being a cougar having a fling with a "boy toy." Mikhail's extreme offense at the term in reference to him is hilarious.

Because the heroine is not in her early 20's and utterly naive, she is a worthy opponent for the hero, meeting him toe to toe in every scene, unlike so many beggar-maid plots in Harlequin Presents where there are enormous emotional as well as financial disparities between the hero and heroine.

I am also happy to report that there is no unplanned pregnancy resulting in a secret baby in this story, in spite of the requisite, "I forgot the condom" scene. The hero does not blackmail the heroine for sex in any way, and though the inevitable Cinderella makeover occurs, there is a comic twist on it that is quite original.

In short, fans of Lynne Graham will be delighted with this book.

I rate this book as follows:

Heroine: 5 stars
Hero: 5 stars
Romance Plot: 5 stars
Writing: 5 stars
Overall: 5 stars

This is book feels different for a Lynne Graham, although it also has her distinctive style. The heroine is older (35). She's actually three or four years older than the hero. She takes it harder than he does. I really liked Kat and Mikhail together. Mikhail is a good guy from the beginning. He's very Russian but not a stereotype. He's surprisingly kind and down to earth. I think because of his mother he does have a lot of respect for women. He values Kat as a strong woman who is independent and has no desire to change that about her. Although he does move mountains to bring her into his life and sphere. Kat is practical and acts very mature (much beyond her years). Probably because she had to raise her sisters from a young age. She's strongly attracted to Mikhail from the beginning, even though she knows nothing can come of it, and she needs to focus on real world things. Mikhail is a dream man in a lot of ways, and he's very willing to prove it. I just plain liked these two together, and I liked that this book has a mature tone that speaks to a woman of my age. The idea that a woman doesn't have to be barely in her 20s to find her dream man definitely resonated. And a real man appreciates a real, strong and independant woman. Mikhail is holding it up for Russians, which is what I need right now.

Surprisingly good. I read this when I was just diving into the world of Harlequin. It was books like this and The Spanish Groom that kept me interested.

Our H is arrogant, but he's not cruel. The heroine is pretty much the sacrificial lamb for her family but she's not a total doormat.Heck, I gave it 4 stars.

"A Rich Man's Whim" is the story of Kat and Mikhail.

A super sweet and sexy reverse May-December romance with an utterly obsessed alpha hero, a naive but strong and determined heroine, a convoluted seduction and relentless proposition, a surrender to lovemaking, some drama and a sweet HEA.

Both h and H were very likable, their sex scenes were hot and there was enough angst to keep me happy!

Totally enjoyed it!

I was in a picky mood and I almost stopped reading it because I got the impression that the heroine was going to be a complete doormat. Fortunately I didn't stop and got to know her and liked her very much.

Kat is very old school when it comes to sex but was very modern when it came to independency. I liked that she tried to keep her cool, be the gracious and kind host (like she is even with her most awful clients) to Mikhail even though sometimes he made it impossible.
Other thing that won me over was the heroine's aversion to seafood (I hate the smell too!!)

Mikhail was introduced as a sexist, self absorbed, ruthless rich man (of course once you know his happy childhood you understand he couldn't be any different). Then starts the hangover like part (the bachelor "party", the uncomfortable bride's brother...) and I realized that there's way worse than the hero so I have to appreciate him or at least I think that was the intention.
Some may not like Mikhail... I laughed at him when he tried to convince himself he wasn't buying Kat because he would never do that, no, he wouldn't be like his father.
Then he started a territorial macho phase, the best of that phase? Stas's reactions.

An heroine older than the hero, that was a nice change. Even though I didn't feel her to be 35. (I mean she was 35 living in modern era and she didn't know what he was about to do when he opened her legs moved his head towards her, really).

Oh and I love when the heroine recognizes and uses the term 'manwhore' for the hero.

The OW stuff? Both of them should have seen it coming and anyway that video didn't really proved anything. Lara could have been sleeping with Mikhail and still have gone hysterical because she wasn't the chosen one to be living in Mikhail's house, at least that's my reasoning.

Also loved the epilogue, addressing some issues and how were they resolved.

Now, if the next story is about Emmie I'll go cautiously because honestly I hated her here even though she was useful towards the end.

Case of it's me and not the book. Some triggers that wouldn't let my prejudiced mind put them aside to enjoy the book. But the H was hot and alpha and very assertive. The h was sweet and reserved and I'd have liked her if her age demographics were different.

As much as I'd like to accept how the H was truly, madly deeply with the h, knowing that he's a billionaire and godly looking and given their negative age difference there's a high probability in my head that he'd cheat with a younger girl.

But a sweet book minus this little blip. The first half was excellent!

I picked this up cheap in hopes of a semi ridiculous romance pick me up novel but this was terrible. The main love interest basically has the mentality that women should be "seen but not heard" and have no purpose but to serve men when suddenly Kat comes into the picture.

After he basically sexually assaults her, tells her he could 'see' that she was attracted to him and that's why he pushes himself on her, she accepts money to stay on a yacht with him for a month as his 'companion'.

All of a sudden he falls desperately in love with her and couldn't imagine a day without her. BLAH URGH extremely unrealistic with heavy doses of Insta-love.

I'm in love, Omg, the hero was my dream personified.
I always love Lynne's characters, they are so believable, and super nice.
I don’t usually read a series when it's not finished yet, but with this one I made an exception, and I didn’t regretted it even for a bit. Although now I'm dying to read the rest, can't believe I have to wait a month for the next part.
Ps: loved the names of the sisters, amazing and so unique.

This was okay. I didn't really like the hero all that much and the heroine was very self-sacrificing to point where she was a virgin until 35. The fact that hero was younger than the heroine didn't really change the dynamic all that much - he was a typical LG alpha, but without much of a sense of humor. They just didn't seem well matched.

First time I've read a harlequin with an older heroine and a younger hero ! Enjoyable. Both characters were nice but I loved the hero more. The heroine was a very courageous and capable woman who had sacrificed a lot for her sisters. It was lovely to see her finally get some happiness.

★★★☆☆ For me, this one ran the gamut from two stars to four. However, it might work for you. Some of the chemistry between the H/h was good. In the end, however, the hero was just too much of an arrogant, chauvinistic asshat with no regard for women for me to believe he changed that much by the close.

3.5 stars. I liked this one, especially the scene with the blizzard and the unexpected "guests" invading Kat's home. I liked the two lead characters.

Kat Marshall is a 35-year-old virgin. For a decade, she's been supporting and mothering her three younger half-sisters because "mommy dearest" abandoned them all. In this series of four books, each sister marries a billionaire. What are the chances!? LOL.

In England's beautiful Lake District, Kat's bed-and-breakfast is at risk of foreclosure, which is bad news, since the B&B is her only means of support. In addition, Kat's younger sister is preggies and has come back home to live with Kat. Lots of financial worries...

Amidst a blinding white blizzard, three hikers show up on Kat's B&B, demanding shelter and care. One of them -- Mikhail Kusnirovich -- has a badly sprained ankle. Our rich ruthless Russian hero is five years younger than Kat -- who frets about becoming a cougar, LOL. He wants Kat, but she resists, saying she won't be anyone's "boy toy" -- which absurd comment just does not describe this domineering alpha male. Haha! We go from there...

After reading Challenging Dante, I decided to try this series. And I pretty much enjoyed this book from the first page up to the last. I rarely read a book where the hero is Russian, so this was kind of refreshing for me. Plus the fact that Kat was years older than the hero. I loved how Mikhail pursued Kat, well, not how he did it but why. He can't get her out of his mind, which is a first for him. His passive-aggressive behavior made me quite giddy. There were also plenty of moments that made me laugh out loud. And what I really, really liked about the story is the low level of angst. It really is a simple, slow-burn romance.

Rereading this for umpteenth time!
What I loved the most:

•Hero was magnificent. I felt for his childhood and feelings he had for his mother.
•Heroine was older than hero.( that scene where heroine realizes that was hilarious). She refused the hero point blankly at the beginning. Which didn’t went down well for hero. She was strong and independent. Somehow I hated her sister in this book without said sister doing anything as a result I haven’t read her book yet.
•Hero was head over heels from early onwards and didn’t let her go. I also liked that his proposition for her was to become his companion rather than mistress. And he respected her.
•Their connection and chemistry.
•The epilogue was so sooo good.

Absolutely recommended.

Please please please ... Ms LG, i can deal (at last i try) with twenty something years old heroïnes TSTL , who have no selfestime , no pride , in front of a gorgeous arrogant-brat-macho hero , but a 36 years old heroïne !!!!! In front of a younger hero (30 years old) !!!! Come on , why are you always making your heroïnes soooo weaks , sooo innocents (in every sense of the word) , sooo clumsy ... sooooooo stupids in front of your brats-heros????

I know you can write greats stories with heroïnes who have pride, respond, intelligence , so STOP downgrading yours heroïnes! Please.

Lynne Graham’s A Rich Man’s Whim delivers exactly the sort of emotional indulgence I crave from her older titles; an intense, wounded hero; a selfless, quietly strong heroine; and a romance built on simmering attraction, buried fears, and the slow, reluctant surrender to love.

Kat Marshall has spent most of her adult life putting herself last. With a mother who never cared enough to stay sober or faithful, Kat stepped into the role of parent for her younger half-siblings, shelving her own dreams in the process. When financial disaster strikes and she has nowhere left to turn, the last thing she expects is the arrival of Mikhail Kusnirovich, a billionaire with an icy exterior, an unexpected interest in her, and a ruthless offer she has every reason to refuse… but cannot.

Mikhail, for all his wealth and polish, is shaped by a bleak childhood. He grew up watching his father’s paranoid cruelty and his mother’s tragic, fearful devotion, an imprint that convinced him love is a trap, vulnerability a danger, and emotional attachment something to be avoided at all costs.

But from the moment he meets Kat, nothing is quite so straightforward anymore. She is older, wiser, and infinitely more grounded than the women he is used to. Her innocence isn’t naïveté; it is the stubborn resilience of someone who has survived responsibility and heartbreak without bitterness. And when she refuses to be seduced or bought, Mikhail’s fascination becomes something far more dangerous to his rigid control.

His offer? One month on his yacht to clear her debts, and a physical relationship which he believes will “fix” his inconvenient desire sets the stage for a dynamic charged with tension. Kat is understandably wary, but once she makes her decision, she does so with emotional honesty that becomes the backbone of the story.

Mikhail, meanwhile, tries desperately to compartmentalize his growing attachment, terrified of becoming he fears the most — vulnerable. The push and pull between them is deliciously Graham: passion edged with fear, tenderness buried under pride, with two people who want each other more than they dare admit.

What I loved most is how vividly their inner wounds mirror each other. Kat’s abandonment issues and Mikhail’s terror of emotional dependence collide in a way that was deeply satisfying. Their chemistry is hot; Mikhail is undeniably sexy, intense, and commanding, but what gives the story its weight is how both characters slowly strip down the emotional armor they have worn for years. Kat’s quiet courage, particularly her willingness to embrace joy when it finally comes her way, makes her a heroine easy to root for. I also loved that there were no unnecessary theatrics from her end; once she accepted her feelings, she moved with grace rather than needless drama.

The ending is heartfelt and rewarding, especially given how terrified Mikhail was to fully love someone. Watching him choose vulnerability, despite every instinct warning him away, makes their happily-ever-after feel that much more precious and coveted.

Recommended for: fans of wounded heroes, older heroines, forced-proximity, emotional scars, and intense, and sensual chemistry that softens into love.

Final Verdict: A sensual, emotionally layered romance with a wounded hero worth melting for and a heroine whose quiet strength anchors the entire story.

Rating = 4.5/5

Another solid read by Lynne Graham. There were a few things I didn't agree with especially towards the end but overall it was pretty good. This was a classic Lynne Graham book that I have come accustomed to reading. It was a quick enjoyable read.

I really enjoyed how the story began because even though it had a familiar theme no stranger to the Presents line, it was done in a unique way that gave it a little twist and all the more intriguing that made me want to jump right in. It was very good and an interesting way for Kat and Mikhail to meet. It also showed how their attraction was pretty instantaneous. It was insane. Plus it was interesting to see Kat come to the rescue and provide shelter from the blizzard after Mikhail and his companions were stuck with one of them in fact being injured. So she saved the day plus it got the couple to meet and have that chemistry that was hard to deny, though she tried. And he refused to give up until he had her and did everything in his power to get. The story took off from there.

Another enjoyable aspect of this book was the cat and mouse game they played. It was entertaining, intense, and at times funny. I loved seeing the back and forth between the two. Mikhail wouldn't let up on Kat and Kat refused to give in so it was a mighty chase. Of coarse Mikhail had no doubt that Kat would give in and he was persistent and arrogant about it without being annoying about it. He was overbearing and not over pressuring Kat just exert enough to finally get her to let go. And she did. A lot. She made up for loss time believe me.

Speaking of, the love scenes were pretty good and had just enough to be satisfying. Could they have been spicier? Sure, but they scenes worked in the context of the story. Now don't get me wrong they were steamy but just not overly, which was okay in this story. It showed their passionate connection to one another and how they came together to fit physically. I wish there was a little more emotional to make it more intense and not feel like all they had going for them as a couple was that the knocked boots really. Because I did feel like that was all their relationship was about. Nothing more. I couldn't really see them falling in love just them doing the nasty all the time.

Which goes to my next point, I didn't find their love story all that believable. I couldn't understand why Kat felt like she was in love with him? No real evidence to support that at least in my opinion. All they did together or what it seemed was time between the sheets and nothing more. I just didn't get it. Nor did I get it from his point of view. His focus for a majority of the book was to get her into bed and that didn't really stop even when he did get her into bed. It was like I am ready again and again to get his passionate, pleasure high for her, but that was it. There was nothing really meaningful until the end and even that was unbelievable. I just didn't see them madly in love in the end or more accurately I didn't believe it.

The characters I enjoyed. I enjoyed her a little bit more than I enjoyed him because at times he unbelievable. Mikhail just couldn't believe that a woman would say no to him so he did everything in his power to seduce her so he would get what he wanted. Don't get me wrong it was entertaining to watch but his attitude was a little off putting at times especially when he would get mad at her when she didn't give in to him even though she clearly spelled it out multiple times she didn't want to sleep with him. Of coarse she didn't stand a chance but he took too much for granted. He kind of pushed his own agenda on her without really asking her what she wanted or asked about her desires and hopes. Plus his declaration of love was a little to unbelievable if you ask me. He could have grovelled a little bit more.

Kat I really enjoyed and enjoyed what type of woman she was. She sacrificed everything in her life in order to raise her 3 sisters that her mother didn't want to take care of. And Lat gave everything to them without asking anything for herself. She hefted the responsibility all by herself without ever asking for help which was the reason for her financial problems but she wouldn't have changed it because she loves her sisters not that I totally thing they understood all that she did for them. Emmie was a complete brat and I didn't like her that much. But Kat took in stride and I admired that strength and love that she had for them in hopes of giving them a happy childhood. I really loved her as a heroine.

What I wished was explored was just all the sacrifices that she made and asked nothing for herself in relation to the development of their relationship. It wasn't even talked about or addressed when I think it should be and could have shown why Mikhail fell in love with her. That would have made sense to me. Plus it would have shown that she didn't take pleasures for herself because she didn't feel right to because of her responsibilities. Then I would have expected him to spoil her and give all she desires aside from the bedroom. But it was glossed over and I don't think it should have been. As were some issues in her past like lack of love from her mother. Stuff like that. I think there could have been more emotional depth to the story and it was more just about the physical.

Despite some my issues with this book, I do think it was well written, passionate and engaging. I was hooked as soon as they met two chapters in. There was enough of a twist in the beginning that made it new and interesting. I was not bored just wished it was more emotional and more believable in the love story aspect. There needed to be more depth, but it was a fun book and I didn't hate it. And despite the unbelievability of the book, I didn't just roll my eyes and be dissatisfied with it because overall it was enjoyable, which is the most important thing when reading.

3 So-So Stars

Not the most exciting book to start my 2017 challenge with, but not a complete dud either.
The h is a 35 year old who has spent her adut life taking care of her three younger sisters that her irresponsible mother put into foster care.

She meets the H when he and and two friends show up to her bed and breakfast one stormy night. The attraction was there from the start but the h fought her desire for him. The H doesn't is ersistant and doesn't give up. He did what he felt he had to until he had her just where he wanted her, in his bed.

It is a sweet entertaining story with no real drama and a weak ass villian. i loved that the h was a little older than the H and actually had a mature outlook on life. No drama where she was concerned. Even her insecurities were hidden and handled in a mature manner - until towards the end. The H was hilarious and so OTT at times. Couldn't help but like him too.

An ok read. Would i ead it again - maybe if I was bored and this was all I had to read.

Lynne uses many first in this book which makes it different from her others,Heroine older than Hero.A thirty-five year old virgin which takes breathe_away from hero.Likes the story_line.A true alpha hero who doesn't likes his weakness(towards heroine)tries to fight it.But true character he doesn't vocally abuse the heroine. He respect her for all she had done for her sisters.Have a morale code never ever tries to buy a woman.I love the love confession of hero as it wasn't the love at first sight. The love eventually grows into them and the point at which hero realizes that he love her.
I love the plot as hero plans(blackmail) to get heroine into bed without morally offending her.All in all a goodread. Must read it!!

Kat Marshall finds herself on the receiving end of the force known as Mikhail Kusnirovich. Mikhail wants Kat, and he always gets what he wants. Even the fact that Kat has secluded herself and is still a virgin does not deter him.

Ok, For me, I liked the story, but was really turned off by some of it. I am sorry, BUT...5 years older than the man does NOT make you a cougar. 25 years, yes, maybe, but I am 5 years older than my husband and I have never been considered a cradle robber by anyone, but him. Kat really needed more of a backbone. And throwing in the IVF stuff at the end was just distressing.
