Excellent

What woman hasn't always dreamed of their own wedding day since they were little, Ellie certainly has but is her fiance right for her? Does the politician wife have it all? How can Ronan deal with his wife's extravagant lifestyle these are just a few people that all become from friends after a wine tasting course run by the gorgeous Sam. Read their ups and downs and laugh along with them too

Silver linings

Love this author's books and her characters. The intertwining of lives is farfetched but reality can be just that. The descriptions and conversations are as realistic as can be.

I enjoyed reading this. It reminded me of the way Maeve Binchy used to weave the stories around multiple characters. I must look out for more of this author's books

Sam’s wine course thrusts Ellie, Rachel, Ronan and Zita together. Ellie is planning her dream wedding, but when her fiancée starts a prestigious new job things begin to change between them. Ronan’s marriage to shopaholic Louise is on the rocks, and has left him in dire financial straits. Rachel is married to high profile politician Carl, but her perfect life is a facade. And unknown to anyone, Zita’s sole reason for joining the course is to ensnare Rachel’s husband to further her career in television.
After eight weeks on the wine course, they know their wines, and firm friendships have been formed. But everything else has changed beyond recognition.
The wine course brings together a diverse range of personalities, and they complimented each other well. Zita is the standout character for me, you have to love to hate her, and she has a great background story. I also found the portrayal of Rachel and the challenges of her life behind the glamour to be quite interesting.
With an abundance of central characters, this book was never boring. However, there was a bit too many stories going on for me, and while they all intertwined perfectly, at times I felt that if there were one or two less, the more compelling ones could have been fleshed out more. That said, I did enjoy this book immensely, and will certainly be looking forward to reading more by Pauline Lawless.

I read the book on my kindle and there were symbols for every " ' and - throughout the book. I then switched to my iPad and there was none of that punctuation at all. Very frustrating and meant that I found it really hard going for the first 30% of the book. After that my eyes and mind got used to it and I enjoyed the story but this did mean that I didn't enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed previous books from this author.

I downloaded this onto my Kindle. I would probably have given it another star if the editing had been better. I found it very irritating that words were often joined together. Readinglikethis - it got a bit annoying. The story line was good though and I really liked all the characters. It is worth reading, but if you get irritated with bad editing then give it a miss.
