A E Van Vogt and L Ron Hubbard took acid and created the most incredible mash-up of fact, fiction, SF and physics as envisioned by multiple Manhattan Projects. Amazing, incredible, beyond belief, beyond reality and beyond words . . .
This issue opens with a rather piquant philosophical treatise on Space and Time and "Ze Frontier" and man's ultimate violence towards nature-- the act of discovery.
Sample this tasteful nugget of fatalist wisdom: "What is the greater meaning of an experiment?.... What is the greater experiment of a life? .... Aren't they the same thing?" -- Clavis Aurea : The Recorded Feynman.
Basically this issue is about both Einsteins asking what's next, dissatisfied with the bland, progressive and safe nature of work at the Manhattan Projects. Having seen the "fairly linear experimental progression" from Project Genesis to Project Gaia & Projects Ares and Vulcan, they want to explore more truly radical thoughts, they want to go "into ze abyss and out toward ze unknown." They want to explore ZE FRONTIER.
