Hearts melt and emotions sizzle when the Queen of Cakes meets the King of Burgers and Fries. Lily Peradou’s life is as sweet as a piece of her best chocolate cake. Her pastries sell off the shelf and her shop is a success. When her chocolate cherry cordial cakes are accused of having undue influence in the decision making of the late dress designer, Sally James, Lily’s plans to expand into the vacant shop next door start to crumble. Her chocolate pot bubbles over when she meets the mouth-watering Noah Adler, the owner of the new restaurant on the other side of the empty dress shop between them. He’s smart and deliciously sexy in his cowboy boots and chef jacket. He’s also full of secrets about his past and evasive about his interest in the vacant store. Even worse, can she trust a chef who doesn’t have dessert on the menu? A career change and opening a gourmet burger place help Noah get his life in order. But when he runs into the zesty pastry chef in the alley behind their businesses, his life gets complicated. Determined to secure her future, Lily must defend her cakes and convince Noah that dessert can be tasty when you have someone to share it with.

Zelda Benjamin's Love by Chocolate Series is just so yummy! Anyone who love sweet yet sensual romances with just a touch of magic will love this latest in the series.
Like all of Ms. Benjamin's chocolate inspired romances, this book will melt your heart. Sweet and heartwarming with a dash of New York City sass. A fun read.
Typical romance with a little bit of sweet chocolate thrown in. This was the last in a series which focused on one main character per book. Each was a quick read and basically the same. There were quite a few typo's in the book which made it a bit distracting.
Chocolate Couture is the story of Lily Peradou, a successful pastry chef who has run from her privileged past to make it on her own.
Lily is far from perfect. She's worked hard to get where she is but she has a few things that stand in her way and tend to complicate things: her pride and her klutzyness.
I liked the main character. However, her reason for refusing help from the local "good samaritan" seems trivial and had me frustrated with her throughout the book. That being said, the sparks that fly between them kept me rooting for her throughout the book.
Then there Noah. I love me a sexy cowboy and he is no exception. He has his flaws but his eagerness to do good and help those around him make it so that you can't help but fall in love with him.
The antagonists, however, is where this story fell a little short. I didn't find myself worried about them at all. Their antics were even a bit laughable and I couldn't relate to Lily's stress over them.
Overall a decent story but with a few elements that distanced me from really getting engrossed in the story I'm giving Chocolate Couture 3 out of 5 stars
Wonderful escape reading for chilly evenings or an afternoon at the beach! Lily makes gourmet chocolate and Noah makes burgers (yum to both!), and they clash over shop space each needs to expand their businesses. This lively story will leave you satisfied and hungry for more in this series. Zelda Benjamin is a master at creating rich sensuality in a sweet love story.
Great story, but misspellings and incorrect punctuation had me cringing at times. I loved the main characters and was quickly drawn into their story. Minor characters were enjoyable too, especially Uncle Pete. After reading Chocolate and Sensibility I was happy to see Luis again, too. I'll definitely like to read more in the series.
Zelda Benjamin's chocolate romance series will have you running for the nearest box of Godiva. Her heartwarming romance will melt your heart and make you eager to read the next installment in this delightful series.
