John Hagee says, "The world as we know it will end, neither with a bang nor a whimper, but in stages clearly set forth in God's Word." His latest and most provocative book takes a cue from a cultural icon, the ticking clock. Hagee presents a prophetic "Doomsday Clock" and counts down the minutes-through prophetic events-which must occur before that fateful moment when every unredeemed individual must face God on Judgment Day. Citing examples from national and international media and using Scripture to confirm his insights, he presents a compelling argument to prove that time is indeed running out.
Pastor John Hagee and his wife Diana reach out and spread Christ's message throughout the Northern Hemisphere. They reside in San Antonio, Texas with their five adult children, their spouses and grandchildren.
Paster John Hagee is a scholar, musician, athlete, evangelist, and above all, a pastor with a pastor's heart. A fourth-generation preacher in the tradition of his father and grandfathers before him, Pastor Hagee not only shepherds the 17, 000 member, nondenominational Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, he is pastor to other pastors around the country.
John Hagee Ministries produces three television programs. Cornerstone is a weekly broadcast of the Sunday morning service at Cornerstone Church. John Hagee Today is a teaching program aired Monday through Friday. SundayNightLive is a live-via-satellite broadcast of the Sunday evening service from Cornerstone Church that can be seen in over 93 million homes.
Author to several books, Pastor Hagee is a dynamic conference speaker whose straightforward style of preaching, laced wit humour, brings refreshing biblical insight to contemporary problems.
Pastor Hagee does a wonderful job in presenting Biblical prophecy. He not only describes the book of Daniel and King Nebuchanezzar's dream of the image, he also cites prophecy's from the other Old Testament prophets, such as Ezekiel and Jeremiah, as well as cite New Testament verses, from Jesus, Paul and John the Revelator. This book has many key verses that you can look at and study yourself, and make you realize that the Rapture and Tribulation will be soon and perhaps in our current generation. Although there are a few things Hagee mentions, that I would question, such as the population of Heaven after the Great White Throne Judgment, the key is that you need Jesus now! And to reject to gospel now with all the evidence that is present in the Holy Word of God, means to face tribulation and judgement. Read this book and study the Bible as you do. It will open your eyes.
An easy read. John Hagee always writes in a way that the reader can understand. Although this book has some dated information in it, it still applies. The only thing I disagree with is Pastor Hagee's pretribulation rapture stance. I believe he is wrong and is misleading his flock. Christians will go half way thru the tribulation and then be raptured right back fore the seventh seal. This is still a good book based on sound reading of scripture. 5 Stars.
There seems to be a lot of gray area among Christians regarding the end times, the rapture and the tribulation. Mr. Hagee does a wonderful job of making the gray, black and white so to speak. I would recommend this book to anyone.
If you are going to write a book explaining a book in the Bible, you should probably stick to the Bible as your reference. Hagge goes against the Bible a couple times and even makes things up a couple times. I.e. pg 175 “ We aren’t told why Daniel was in mourning but we can hazard a guess,” Guess? Seriously? And Hagge offers only one guess: his own opinion. This book is not a discussion of Daniel so much as it is a vehicle for Hagge’s beliefs. The rapture for instance. There are various beliefs about when it will take place, but Hagge doesn’t mention these other viewpoints, only his own. Hagge stresses that the concept of the rapture goes back to the apostles. Actually, the concept of the rapture appeared only a few hundred years ago. It’s a newer concept, but Hagge denies this and tries to use a Bible quote that don’t fit to prove his viewpoint. Why is Mr Hagge so afraid to give other viewpoints that are biblically based?
Hagge does quote the Bible sometimes but also quotes many people, including Adolph Hitler. Pg 253
