Sean Pederson was what most women would call easy on the eyes. Tall, peanut butter complexioned, muscular frame, with long flowing dreads. It was true he had his pick when it came to the ladies and once he got a woman, he had a woman-it wouldn’t take much for him to persuade her to give him what he needed. Money, shopping sprees, sex he was living a bachelor’s dream. His fancy free lifestyle is threatened when the three children from a relationship gone badly are abruptly thrown in the mix. Going from worrying about no one but Sean to have to support to have to support and nurture three little girls virtually overnight will Sean stand up and be the man his children needs him to be? Or will he abandon his responsibilities and prove to his children’s mother that he’s nothing more than a Sperm Donor?
Antwan Floyd Sr. is an American novelist, most widely recognized for his crime fiction. He has written a series of best-selling mysteries featuring the hard-boiled detective Black Love, a black private investigator living in Chicago, IL; they are perhaps his most popular works.
Understanding the situations in the book is one thing, but it is not until middle/ end of the book that I understood the direction. I would like to see what sequel has in stored.
Sean has three daughters with Tonia and hasn't taken his fatherly duties very seriously. He finds funding in the art of pleasing various women, basically living the life of a gigolo. An unexpected visit from the girls tests Sean's patience, intelligence, dedication as well as his paternal skills. What begins as a minimum distraction escalates into a full blown family dilemma. Is Sean equipped to be a Father or just a Daddy? Paying child support only makes you a sperm donor...how much love does Sean have to give to his children?
I enjoyed this read...realistic storyline, good flow, relatable characters with all positions played impeccably. Some editing issues, but otherwise a delightful read albeit short. 3.78
Sean is the father of 3 girls. When is wife decides to take a break he fines himself having to be a dad instead of a father.
I don't know really how much Sean had to do with the girls before him and his wife separated. There wasn't much background on the structure of the family. The girls seem to love him of course they are young and have the issues that teenage and pre-teen girls do. Since we are dropped into the story I don't see how Sean is a just a sperm donor from this little glimpse. They were married so did he check out of parenting while in the home? He may have checked out after he left because he is a gigolo. But seems Tonia (the mom)has some 'splaining to do also!
The book, Sperm Donor by Antwan Floyd, focuses on main character Sean and his relationship with his three daughters. Sean has left all the child-rearing responsibilities to his their mother/his estranged wife. He is financially supported by various women; who also pays his child support. Sean is placed in a situation where he realizes his daughter's need a father and not just a monthly check. The storyline is good, but is unoriginal. I have seen similar storyline/s via movie/s. There are many grammar errors; however, I enjoyed reading! Three stars!!!!!
