Like so many other writers, Shauna grew up as an avid reader, but it was in high school that she realized she wanted to be a writer. She released the first installment of her Paranormal YA Series, The Elemental Series, Earth, on May 1, 2011 and has since released four sequels, with the series coming to an end with Spirit. In December of 2013 she release the first in her Paranormal Post-Apocalyptic trilogy, World of Ash. She is currently hard at work on one too many projects, trying to organize the many voices in her head. It's a writer thing.

Found that the ending was left in a really good way though still very sad to see it all finished and was intrigued by the other characters in this story and their world too.

This series is incredible and recommend it to anyone and everyone who likes a little magic and fun in their life. This book put Shay in a completely new territory that she had no control over and it was great to read how she handled it

Good series

I found myself taking breaks from this book, not because it was bad but because I felt connected to the characters and all they went through.

Terrific ending

Wow. Such a terrific ending to a wonderfully crafted series. A dark turn into the Otherworld, with a great resolution. Well done!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spirit is a beautiful, haunting finale that delivers an emotional punch. Shayna’s death and journey through the land of the dead is both heart-wrenching and deeply symbolic. The stakes are enormous—not just life and death, but sanity, friendship, and identity. Watching her fight to return while her friends suffer is devastating and empowering. The imagery is stark and poetic, and the choice she must make about her wings adds a spiritual, bittersweet layer. It’s a powerful exploration of sacrifice, love, and loyalty. The ending resonates with hope and grief in equal measure. A poignant, fitting conclusion to a magical and often overlooked series.
