I met Maya in 2010 in the midst of Nanowrimo. I was lucky enough to see her awe-inspiring talent in a journal she'd kept on her travels - written in careful, tiny printing and amazingly detailed drawings. I remember commenting her journal pages deserved a gallery showing! Then I discovered her book "To-Do List" and bought several copies for nieces and nephews that holiday season. Although quite different from her journal of course, that book is filled with her charming and precise drawings. I genuinely hope she will publish more books as her art should be savored and enjoyed by many.

fantastic book. i read it before i gave it to my nephew as a birthday present. complete with hand drawn author's autograph. thanks!
