Roadside Service is a cute, but a short novel. I read the entire book in about an hour but found the story to be very interesting and the characters charming, especially Blake. :)
Roadside Service is told in the point of view of Violet Weathers, a supermodel who has been around the world and finds herself in Nebraska for modeling work. While driving to Omaha Violet’s car breaks down and she finds her knight in shining armor in Blake; a mechanic who does more than just tow her car to his shop. Blake has no idea Violet is THE supermodel and they end up spending the night together. The story has some steamy sex scenes, Blake is pretty sexy. They agree to see each other while Violet’s in town for work and go their separate ways afterwards but soon Blake discovers who Violet really is and their “fun” relationship becomes much more.
I liked the story, it was cute and sexy. This is the perfect kind of book to read when you do not have a lot of time and do not want to get too invested into a story or characters because it’s simple. Having said that, I felt the story was just too short. I never was able to connect to the characters as much as I would have liked or their background stories, I would have loved to have gotten to know Blake's history a bit more and more about Violet's mother & "boy toy". The two weeks flew by and really there were only a handful of scenes in the book, so when the two fell in love I didn’t really understand how… I would have liked more tender scenes like the one at the lake which was really sweet. Also the ending…. It was a great HEA but it seemed more like a HEA right now. I can see the two having a lot of problems and would be really interested in reading how their relationship plays out in the spotlight and Violet being a famous supermodel… (hint, hint)!
B.L. Wilde is a great writer with a great idea. Like I said it is a great simple read if you need something easy. I hope to read more in the future about Violet and Blake.
I give Roadside Service 3.5 stars.

Hot, sexy, romantic, chance meetings, and did I mention hot and sexy? This author's first entry into the world of erotica is definitely a winner. It may be a short story/novella but one helluva tale is packed into these pages. A definite must read and a definite must watch author.
I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.
This isn't the first time I've read something written by B.L. Wilde/ Rebecca Turley. I love her writing style, it keeps me hooked and addicted to the story. I thought reading a different genre wont be the same, but I was wrong. I think she can write anything as long as she does it with passion, like in her other books.
Anyway, Roadside Service it’s different, it’s sexy, romantic and hot. Violet Weathers does the trick in this book. She is a beautiful, young girl, a supermodel with a great ambition. She has traveled the world, thanks to her job, but now she is in Nebraska for a new modelling job that has some benefits. When she hit the road she couldn't imagine that her trip will be about just the shoot. No, her car breaks down and she finds a mechanic to take the car to the shop. His name it’s Blake, his a hunk that just wants to have fun with her. So they both decide as long as Violet it’s in Omaha they could hang out and have fun, to say so. The relationship starts easily, days fly away fast and they’re relationship it’s getting more serious with real feelings. So much for a relationship with no commitment. After Blake started to know Violet for who she really is, and not just the hot supermodel, he ends up falling in love with her. Would they end up together? It’s Violet going to stay with Blake?
You will have to read the book. The scenes are great, romantic and sexy as hell. I loved them. I just want more. For me, this book was to short, I wanted to get to know the characters better, to see what happens next, but I liked it even this way. Can’t wait to read something else written by B.L. Wilde. For me, she is one of my favorite writers. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read you’re book! I recommend it to anyone who loves reading a great book, full of romance and sexy scenes!
In Roadside Service by B.L. Wilde we meet Violet Weathers, a supermodel, whose car breaks down on the way to her new photo shoot. Luckily, her car doesn't die too far from a garage that she remembers passing earlier. The supermodel is quickly dazed by the mechanic, who could be a model himself. What happens when he lays eyes on the world famous model? Will she finally discover someone that she's been looking for without even realizing it?
So...where do I start? *fans self* This novella starts strongly by introducing us to the main two characters—a supermodel and a hot mechanic. B.L. Wilde did a great job describing her characters, since after reading the beautiful portrait of Blake, I almost left the comfort of my reading nook in order to find my own oily, hot mechanic. And don't get me started on Violet—personified as the perfect woman that every girl would want to be. Roadside Service is clearly a well written novella and has a really, really nice plot line but I wish it were longer because the story has a lot of potential and I would have liked to read more about the characters.
The story was definitely very steamy but at the same time it had its tender, fluffy parts that warmed my heart. It had a bit of angst, enough for this type of story. You can clearly see the passion the author put into writing this story.
All in all, I really enjoyed this novella that B.L. Wilde brought to us. A quick fun read that will put a smile on your face no matter where you are, what you do or when you read it . I'd recommend this novella to anyone who wants an instant smile on their face and a few sweat droplets on their forehead from the temperature that will definitely rise while you read Roadside Services.
I have to be honest with you all, when I first read the synopsis, I thought to myself, Oh god, I hope this isn’t too cheesy. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with Roadside Service by B.L. Wilde. There was a pretty hot story buried in this one!
“You, Violet, have so much light in you. I’ve never felt so alive before and I know it’s because of you.”
I was a big fan of the sexy mechanic Blake! I know this is a short story, but I did want to know more about his background. Blake was a genuine character, and I enjoyed him very much. It was sad when Blake realized that he wouldn’t fit in to Violet’s life, it was heartbreaking actually.
“I’ll never let you lose yourself, Beautiful. You’ll always have a home in me.”
You could feel the emotions coming off of the characters. With Violet, I believe that she felt like she could be herself around Blake and not have to impress him like she does with other people. When you have that freedom with someone it is very hard to leave that behind. Not only were the sex scenes sizzling in this book, but the ending was like a fantasy, beautiful and romantic. B.L. Wilde is definitely on my watch list!
This author definitely has some potential in the Erotica genre. The sex scenes were great, but the strong language was a little distracting to me. I can appreciate a well-written tangle in the sheets, but sometimes verbiage used to make it just a bit hotter often takes it down a notch, in my opinion. The story itself tried to pack a bit too much into its 71 pages. I like the idea of finding your HEA in the backfields of Nebraska, but cramming two weeks of mostly sex into such a short novella gave me some whiplash. It would have made a much hotter ride if she had focused on one or two encounters between the model and mechanic and left it at that.
Like I said, she has potential, as does this story; there were definitely more than a few good ideas that just needed a bit more fleshing out.

If you are looking for a quick, sweet love story get this book. The story and the characters were so engaging and lovable. I can’t say too much without giving it away but Violet is just a normal girl really. She is wanting what every girl wants. Being a supermodel she still has her own insecurities. The hot mechanic is not like all other men. He cares. He is hot. He is delightful. He is a lot of things. You will truly like him. I am giving this book 4 hearts. I absolutely loved it. It is only 71 pages but very well worth it. It is romantic and sweet.
This is a great debut for B.L. Wilde into the world of erotica. It's a short story that is extremely hot and well written. This novella has it all, from hot love scenes, to moments that pull at your heart strings, to an HEA that most of us can only dream about with a hot mechanic who knows how to use his hands. This book is a quick read to get her name out there, and I can't wait for the full length novel she has coming out later this year! Bravo, B.L. Wilde! Well done!!
For a short story, there was a lot of depth to the characters. I found myself in love with Violet and Blake and didn't want the story to end. Sure, there were some HOT!!! SEXY!!! times in this story, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but it was nice to actually feel these two come together beyond the sexual tension. B.L. Wilde did an exceptional job here! I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a light, quick read with characters that simply come to life on the page.
This book has everything that you are looking for...drama, romance, love and plenty of smut. Violet Weathers and her mechanic, Blake, will leave you hot and bothered and looking for a release. Bee Wilde's tale pulls you in and keeps you going until the very last word. I would definitely recommend this book.
Violet and Blake should be enough to review it. This book is short but what a great ride. The sexual tension built throughout the story got me at the edge. What a great read I recommend it for everyone that is looking for hot short steamy romance.
I loved it!!! It's one of those "Awww" books, in my opinion. B.L. Is very well-written, and I couldn't believe how quickly I read this book! I couldn't get enough of it, and I would have continued to eagerly read it no matter how many pages. Did I mention that I loved it?!
