I love family first and foremost, which is why writing family sagas and stories that involve family is so much fun. Maybe you can tell that from my books since they always feature the warmth and joy and ridiculousness that comes from having a close-knit family.

I also love animals and have taken in rescue dogs and cats and fostered dogs for the local animal shelter.

And of course, I love writing. All I need is a functioning brain (batteries not included), a pen, and paper, and I can write anywhere. Please don’t let a conversation with me lag because my imagination takes over and I. Am. Checked. Out!

USA Today bestselling author, Day Leclaire is the author of more than 60 novels and has received an impressive eleven nominations for the romance industry's most prestigious award, Romance Writers of America RITA© Award. Day lives in Charlotte, NC and spends her days obsessively writing while vaguely remembering to pay attention to her adorable husband, busy son and daughter-in-law, two tiny grandchildren, and two even tinier Teddy Bear dogs. Not to mention a whole lot of dust!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my books. If you'd leave a review, I'd very much appreciate it. Authors are dependent on reviews in order to obtain ads and garner new readers. I love hearing from my readers. For a personal response, please contact me at Day@DayLeclaire.com.

***Safety Issues in this Book for those with Triggers.***

The Prologue begins with Lucius Devlin awaking to find his overnight guest had already vacated his bed. Her name is Lisa and she has wanted to marry Lucius for a long time. They used to be and item but Lusius broke off the relationship because Lisa is not trustworthy. Now they're just occasional f-buddies. He knows she would be a terrible match which is why he broke it off. She's the kind of woman that would wipe him out financially in no time at all. The pay out is all it seems she's after.

Geoff is Lucius' best friend and works for him. (Pay attention to that...Geoff and Lucius are best friends and have been for many, many years...) So when Lucius sent Lisa on her way the first time he broke it off with her she went after Geoff, his best friend, because he was also wealthy. Are you ready?? When she and Geoff have an argument or disagreement and she gets angry or doesn't get her way she goes back and starts sleeping with Lucius again until Geoff asks her to come back. Yes, her husband's best friend!!! And the really sad part is that Geoff knows she goes to Lucius when they argue. Lucius is sleeping with his best friend's main squeeze, the woman his buddy loves. Apparantly this back and forth situation has been going on a good while. It was certainly not a one-time thing. While she is still at Lucius' already having climbed out of his bed after their romp in the sack she receives a phone call and it's Geoff. He has already found out that she has spent the night with Lucius again and he proposes over the phone...to try and keep her away from Lucius and she says yes. (If my understanding is correct, Lisa only started dating Geoff because she thought it would force Lucius to put a ring in her finger...it backfired! Geoff tells Lisa that he wants to start a family right away and she wants to as well. So about a year or so later now Lucius is raising their baby which was left to him in their will. The couple had been killed in a train accident. Now he is searching for a nanny...or maybe a wife by contract.

What the heck kind of man sleeps with his best friends' gal. I just have no interest in finishing this book. It upset me enough reading two chapters. The hero had no respect for the woman and none for his best friend. He caused his friend a lot of pain. I don't know how Geoff can still call him 'friend.' And who would want to leave their child to be raised by the biggest manwhore the town had ever seen.

I didn't enjoy this book much because I guess never warmed up to the hero, he was rude and cold, he had a nice father then his father was betrayed, he got into all revenge mode, the only good thing was his best friend then a woman came between them and now he has the custody of his best friend's kid and a custody battle looming so he wants to find the perfect wife, like he found the perfect PA through a program.

The heroine is the PA, she loves him, though her confidence is not much because of a failed relationship, she finds out about the program and then somehow manages to make herself the perfect candidate. I didn't like it that she was willing to accept what all he was willing to give her.

Angie Colter can't understand who wouldn't want to spend time with the sexy, caring and utterly compelling Lucius and darling baby Mikey. Then she discovers his goal. With a few tweaks to the program—and to her appearance—Angie will be the perfect wife! But what if Lucius finds out the truth about his nearly perfect fiancée?

This is another book in the Billionaires and Babies series. It is related to "Nothing Short of Perfect," with some of the same characters. Although the ending is a bit rushed (probably because of Harlequin word count restrictions), but the characters are well-developed.

This was much better than the first one. They still used the computer program and to find a wife this time, but it wasn't as difficult to believe, since she was in on part of it. Lol I love seeing these men who swear they will never fall in love, fall in love. My husband swore the same thing and as of this review, today is our 22nd wedding anniversary! This trope will always hold a piece of my heart as being one of my favourites. :D

I was a little mad that Angie kept putting the wedding off when she was the one who put her name in the pot.

A good fun read about a baby and the baby's need for a mother even if not biological mother. I highly recommend this book!

I read every single Day Leclaire book that she writes for the Desire line. This is interesting as this novel brings together characters from her Dante's Inferno series and another series. I was pulling for Angie, Lucius' beyond amazing PA who realizes that she is the only one who is perfectly matched for her boss. He's also inherited his deceased best friend's baby and is of course, looking for the most perfect wife to be his wife, a mother, a gourmet cook, interior designer and the list goes on and on. He goes so far as to hire a firm with a computer program that will find him such wife, but of course, no one can match up. That's until Angie takes matters into her own hand and tweeks the program. This is a fun read that will bring some tears to your eyes. I'm gearing up for her next book which is coming out this month and continues with the Dante's and their infernal Inferno (when you meet your soul meet with one touch, you are trapped and try as you might to fight it, it usually wins!) Can't wait!

A typical harlequin mess.
Lucius is a cold basket with trust issues, who kept having on again, off again sex with Lisa, the same woman as his best friend Geoff was having sex with. Not a ménage, nope, Lisa was playing them off against each other.
Lisa wanted Lucius but settled for Geoff when Lucius wouldn’t put a ring on her finger.
Geoff, being a male idiot, knew Lisa was jumping from his bed to Lucius’s but still married her.
Geoff and Lisa have a child then die in an accident, leaving Lucius, as godfather to raise this baby.
Geoff's parents want custody of Mikey as they hated Lisa and believe Lucius unfit.
Angela is Lucius PA and is in love with him. She thinks he is pining for his lost love Lisa.
Lucius needs to get married to stop himself losing Mikey in the custody battle.
This wasn’t bad but I just couldn’t get the bad taste out of my mouth.
Of course the bed hopping beginning plays into who ends up being the babies biological father.
All ends well after the obligatory argument and separation.
I read this as I have had it for ages and I am cleaning up my books.

I did not know this was in the series with nothing short of perfect but I glad when I realized it. Angie has been in love with her boss since she met him but her saw her as no more than office furniture. When she dazzles a client with her looks she finally gets his attention. Decline is looking for a wife to look after his godson but even using the pretorius program he is unable to find the perfect wife. Angie realizes he is looking for a wife and consorts with Jett (book 1) to make sure she comes up his perfect wife. He starts to fall for her but is hurt when he finds out about the manipulation he wants to know why. She discovers that Lisa his ex lied about the paternity of Mikey (the godson) and that it is actually Devlin's son. It ends wonderfully.

Not a bad book. Very good, in fact. The writing was clear and the rhythm was great. I think the characters were a bit superficial, though. I didn't get the main reason for the hero's cynicism, and I would have really enjoyed if the baby had a personality. The point was supposed to be getting a mother for the baby and the guardianship, but he wasn't even a secondary character, more like an afterthought in the whole book. The babies have a personality from birth, but the actions of this one were almost choreographed, like the perfect responses needed for a commercial.

I really liked this book. This is the my debut to Day Leclaire's works and I would definitely look for her other books. I love it that the guy is not perfect at all. I love how the heroine is not intimidated by him. I love her smart mouth and smartass comments. I love it too that the guy takes all her comments in an amusing way. It shows that he isn't shortfused and that this girl already affected him in an endearing way.

All in all, this book is good!

This book is quite wonderful, filled with fun witty conversation between the two main characters. It pulls at your sweet heart strings and gives you a little of a need to say the same ol' thing> boys are blind!. The only thing i seem to have missed is a little bit more in the backdrop of Lucians past hungups that made it so hard for him to trust.

Excellent! Yes, two more than perfect people can find love even if they don't think they need it or want it.

Unbelievable how one can be so good looking, rich, and talented and no one snaps him/her up immediately. Real life works differently. I should know. ;)

Great book

I am not usually a fan of books with babies, but this author does a wonderful job. The hero was just enough alpha male. The h was just enough sassy. Day Leclaire is now on my auto buy list!

Lo leí ayer, como pasa con Day es dulce, ligero y los dialogos son bastante fluidos, sin embargo no me gusto que lo que le escondía lo supieramos en el mismo libro.
pero así y todo amo a esta autora
