I like this book because it describe the bond that Katie had with her grandpa. It also gives ideas on how to deal with a situation when a child doesn't like something. I feel the warmth and the tenderness throughout the story that her grandpa has. I do love this book because it makes me miss my grandpa because it just reminds me of him.

Narrative skills-I think the story sets up kids to be able to repeat the "Good morning...." section of the book. Kids will listen to the story and be able to know what comes next.
