North Node Astrology: Rediscovering Your Life Direction and Soul Purpose

Rate this book
Professional astrologer and Jungian psychotherapist, Elizabeth Spring, weaves personal stories with the astrological wisdom of the North and South Nodes. There are detailed explanations of how to find and understand your own karmic Nodes as well as the life-changing transits that impact your life direction, soul purpose, career and relationships. Elizabeth’s heart-felt chapter on the "Astrology of Menopause" has been re-published around the world, and the humorous chapter "Cocktails and Karma" explores the bridging between astrologers, ministers, and therapists. The “ Family Karmic Inheritance” inspires a compassionate view on family relationships. Endorsed by Jungian author Jim Hollis, and evolutionary astrologer, Steven Forrest, this book is a reference book as well as a collection of articles that shed light on unconscious motivation. An inspiring guide for transmuting the grace and grit of life into the gold of healing and personal success.

I'm a counseling astrologer and writer, with a master's degree in psychology with an emphasis in the work of Carl Jung. I have published 3 books of poetry, (www.elizabethspringpoetry.com) a memoir,"Synchronicity", a novel, and 4 books on astrology which you can read about here: www.northnodeastrology.com

My first book, "North Node Astrology: Rediscovering Your Life Direction and Soul Purpose" is available on www.AMAZON.com and has a Look Inside the Book feature, as well as many reviews. Come take a look!

My new book, the memoir: Synchronicity, is the intertwined memoirs of two women, Annie Besant and the author, Elizabeth Spring. Elizabeth unexpectedly came upon a little biography of Annie, a passionate social activist for the 'Match Girls 'in England and for women's right to birth control--- and found that her astrology chart, and Annie's, were uncannily similar: they were born exactly 100 years apart--Oct 1, 1847 at 5:39 pm and Oct 1, 1947, at 5:34 pm.

This was the beginning of the synchronicities that radically changed Elizabeth's life.

"Saturn Returns: The Private Papers of a Reluctant Astrologer" An unusual combination of fiction and non-fiction--a story of the unusual life and lessons of a professional astrologer. Reviews and Look inside the book feature on amazon.com

Other books include: South Node Astrology; Uncovering Your Soul's Karmic Inheritance

Astrology for the Third Act of Life,

Lifting the Veil; Becoming Your Own Best Astrologer,

Soul Work; a Chapbook of Poetry,

Just before setting out on a grand personal adventure we read Elizabeth's book and consulted with her. The text gives excellent reference points past, and present, with which to better understand astrology and psychology. I have always found the terminology of astrology too mysterious, too abstract, this book was educational in that regard as well, it puts into the reader's hands tools that can be personally elucidating. We are all on a journey of some sort, at times more intense than others, and this book is an excellent companion.

This is a good book not for a beginner. understanding of predictive astrology and an understanding of of houses, planets, aspects would be easier for reader to understand or isms desired. that is not to say that this is not an excellent book if you don't know those things if you want to understand the book you will indulge in other books for Terrence while reading this book. I loved it. it is not for the absolute beginner. It is a lot faster read if you speak astrology, but any one with determination could pick up a lot from this book. It would take a lot longer to truly understand what is being explained. So if you "speak" astrology it's a GREAT book. Very interesting how the author shows how to understand your now, your past and your future I'm more and deeper detail through the use of astrology.

The books description of the Nodes by sign is worth the price of the book. I have found it to be the most accurate and easily understood from the many Node books I have. The rest of the book is more for end beginner or early intermediate astrologer. On re-reading the book I was delighted to discover that she is a Jungian with lots of references to Jung's psychological approach to life. She also, very bravely, goes into details of her own marriage which ended after 20 years in divorce and then 5 years later she remarried her ex-husband and by the time of the book being published were together for 8 more years.

An excellent book for those of us who want to explore the 'why' of what we are . . . a well written book that doesn't 'dumb down' for the reader but is easy to understand, even when new to the subject.

Best book I've read in a while, God damn.

Soon to be reviewed!

I have Jupiter in Libra in 1st house: "You have an enthusiastic personality, a warm hearted optimistic style, a sense of self-awareness, and usually good health.
People tend to really like you, simply for who you are. Your ability to deal effectively and pleasingly with others will always be a part of your grace or “gold.” This is a position where you need to guard against over-eating and drinking—instead, let your enthusiasm for life move you towards saying yes to abundant opportunities. Sales work, teaching, and anything where your personality makes a difference is favored work."

Been learning about Uranus opposition, chiron return, saturn second return too.

Saturn ultimately rewards those that act and depresses those who procrastinate — with saturn, its either be depressed or be exhausted. No quick fixes, hold the tension of the opposites and conflict in yourself until a new idea emerges. Stretch beyond your comfort zone.

Great source of stuff on planets, Saturn and cycles, Uranus Cycles. Much more. There could have been more content on the Nodes through the houses and signs, but the content was really good.
I totally recommend this book for the variety of good Astrology work with valuable source of information you wont find quite like this. I've enjoyed the Audible version even more. I've read it twice. Highly recommended.

Not for the beginner

This book was written like a story rather than a recipe book that you can only search your sign to read. In fact, I found it was hard to follow and get all the ideas when I am the new guy in this realm. I think it works for you if you have known well about planets, signs and their descriptions in each house. Besides, you need to research in your natal chart before reading this book.

Elizabeth Spring masterfully conducts her orchestra - bridging Jungian and Astrological metaphors - while elucidating her techniques and stoking hunger to honour our curiosity, depth, and skills as alchemists.

This book was a symphonic masterpiece that has taught me how to appreciate symphonies even more. Richness of soul married with the expanse of imagery.

Highly recommended for those who already have some solid grasp of astrological concepts and symbols wishing to deepen AND widen their field of perception.
