Summertime Pinks

Rate this book
It was summer break and all Billy wanted to do was to head down to the playing field and play baseball with his friends. After all, he was a boy and that was what boys should want to do. His dad, however, needed him to mow the lawn and the battle of two strong minded people started once again. His older sister could have mowed the grass, Billy one again asserted. But that is not a job for girls, his dad asserted. For the millionth time Billy wished he was a girl so he didn't have to do a chore that he hated to do. Dad had heard enough and a new battle enrages. What started out as a punishment to teach his son a lessons opens up the doorway to a past that had long been forgotten. A tender novel about self discovery, acceptance, and secrets.
