I have been writing since I was eight. I started out with poetry. Eventually, I moved on to short fantasy stories, then eventually books. I have always loved books, whether I was reading them or writing them. Books were always a perfect escape from reality. When I was growing up, I admired authors and I imagined I would eventually be one.
The primary genre I write is fantasy romance. I love creating tough heroines and sexy vampires, werewolves, Fae, and every other supernatural creature I can come up with. I also write new adult romance when I am in the right mood. I want my readers to get the same joy from reading my stories that I do when I read some of my favorite authors.

1. An unruly young adult with a bad attitude. If it's not supposed to be done, she is doing it,
2. Shifter parents. A detached father and a mother who could care less about shifter ways. Mom gives up and sends her packing with dad to his pack.
3. A hot alpha male with commitment issues and a need for FWB sex. No attachments.
4. Hot alphas mom takes her under her wing to teach her the healing arts.
5. One alpha female who wants to mate with said alpha.... Note attachment issues.

There was a lot going on and the author did a great job. Although...I do hate cliffhangers.

I have never put my head in my hands so many times while reading a book. Kylie, the main character, is a teenaged werewolf who is taken to live with a werewolf pack by her father. There she meets Dominic, the pack leader. Sex ensues. Halfway through, we’re introduced to the second love interest, Brayden. More sex ensues. But it turns out the sex has consequences.

If I ignore the many spelling and grammatical issues, the flagrant telling and not showing, the lack of character building and development, I’m left with a plot with an intense focus on pregnancy (there are multiple deliveries in a book of ~100 pages). But this reveals the gender/bio essentialism ethos of the story. We see this further as every woman is described as a whore, except those that are pregnant; by carrying a child, by doing their job as a woman, they shed the sin of sex. This also goes for the MC, who has frequent sex through the story and is called a whore by others, but is pregnant by the end of the book. And not only is she absolved, the pregnancy is positioned to resolve the whole conflict of the story (though we are left with a cliffhanger before this plays out). Babies save you in more ways than one.

Similarly, the men are unable to escape their biological characteristics. They are aggressive and cruel. Several of the sex scenes with the MC border on assault given their inability to wait or stop when asked. The innate biology even removes the possibility of gay werewolves “because of the animal instinct to reproduce” is too overwhelming.

Such a bad book that it has made me question my commitment to bits. I have no idea where the next book will go, and I will not be finding out.

I loved this book

I think this is the best book ever, and can't wait for more. I like the scene in the different parts of the book.

This book revolves around Kylie after her mother decides that she can't handle her behaviour any longer. Her father is called in to come and take her back to his pack, for her to learn her place in their hierarchy.

She doesn't believe in the male dominated society that is the pack and let's everyone know it at every turn. She makes enemies first and friends later and causes trouble wherever she goes.

Dominic is the alpha of their pack and as such has his future mapped out for him, which definitely doesn't involve Kylie. He is so hot and cold with her that it almost gives you whiplash. Brayden is the alpha of a rival pack that vies for her attention. Together they form an untenable love triangle..... who will she pick?

I will continue reading this series simply because I like to read books where characters break away from stereotypical ideals on their behaviour and then muddle their way through the resultant drama that ensues.

This book was really short and frustrating.

This book was really short and frustrating.

The first 10 % of this book was pretty good, after that, I didn't like it. it was annoying and frustrating and it actually made me a little mad. The guy couldn't make up his mind, he would be with the girl and then tell her it was a mistake, then be with her again, and she just kept letting him come back. I read this book in about 45 minutes and I won't be buying the next one. It could have been a really good book but it was very frustrating. I would not recommend.

I loved Kylie and sympathized with her right away... this character has traits we all can relate to and make you like her....Add Dominic into the mix and you get a great story, with lots of action and a book you can never forget. This book made it impossible to not read all the rest of Ella Price's books :)
