**MATURE CONTENT-18 AND OVER ONLY** THIS IS A SHORT STORY ROCK AND ROLL NOVELLA!
After spending an entire weekend getting to know the woman of his dreams, Ryder Matthews is more certain than ever that he made the right choice in following Everleigh Stone to her hometown. However, after being called away by his record label to record the rest of Bad Blooded Rebel's new album, Ryder is angry and feels guilty for leaving Everleigh alone as her father Max is on the brink of death. All he wants to do is hold her and make it all go away, even if she didn't want him to witness it.
Everleigh didn't know it was possible to fall for someone so fast until famous rocker Ryder Matthews showed up in her hometown asking for a chance. Despite the walls she'd built around her heart, he'd managed to tear them down brick by brick. She managed to find happiness in her life despite the fact that her beloved father was quickly losing his battle with cancer. Having lost his own father to the disease, Ryder seemed to be in the right place at the right time.
After a desperate phone call, Ryder is back at Everleigh's door step, ready to help her face one of the hardest things she will ever endure. As they both begin to lean on each other more and more, will they keep fighting their feelings or will they give into the inevitable?
I currently reside in Indiana and I am a wife, mother of 3, a hairstylist, and now, published author! I love to write, and I hope my book is the first of many!
Again boring...too quick on the relationship and even the grieving for her father felt fake. I was hoping this second installment would be an improvement but it really was worse I think than part one. The whole ex-boyfriend thing was weird. It was hard to understand why he would bother "stalking" her or why he would even care what she does. And her self esteem issues were weird too. I don't know the whole story so far feels contrived/fake and forced. Did not flow well. I won't be reading anymore of this one.
Okay Mellie George has got me completely hooked on her Bad Blooded Rebel series! I am in it for the long haul! As soon as I finished Rebel (Book #1) I immediately went right into Rogue which is also a novella. I did not want to be away from Ryder and Everleigh for very long. I had been forewarned to make sure i had plenty of tissues with me and I'm glad I did. I was a mess, as the inevitable tragedy struck for our sweet lovable Everleigh. Lucky for her Ryder is soon there to help her through it all and he does it in just the perfect way. He's not overbearing, he's not afraid to touch her, he's just well, perfect. He understands what she's going through on such a deep level and knows just how to treat her and how much she can and can't handle.
Once again I loved the alternating POVs throughout the story. Mellie George really writes from both perspectives so well, you feel the emotions of Ryder and Everleigh through and through. In fact, I thought her writing this time around had improved from book #1. I felt like I was better able to get to know these characters on a deeper level, and it just made me love them even more. The feelings they have for each other are so strong and I found myself smiling a lot during this story, once I got past the sorrow. And yes, of course this book is also full of HOTNESS. In fact, it's a lot HOTTER than book #1 (because let's face it rockers have hot sex!) but it is also romantic and sweet and filled with emotions as well as desire and passion. It's an amazing combination.
I also really enjoyed getting to know the other band members a bit better, as well as Jessie. I think she's going to be a great friend to Everleigh and to Danni as well, as they all get to know each other better. And Beau, Kris and Jude are still hot as ever but I really enjoyed learning more about their characters and watching them interact with each other as well as with Everleigh. She learns to trust them, to see them as safe and secure and I was so glad to see how they reach out to her like one of their own.
So the ending....well while there is a HEA for Ryder and Everleigh, the story takes a twist that I did not see coming and that has now left me so eager for Book #3. Which is exactly as it should be, again Mellie George did a great job keeping my interest going. I will be counting the days for sure until Renegade's release. And then for all future books about the other band members, which I'm pretty sure she's got up her sleeve.
Thank you once again Mellie George for another amazing story in this series! I can't wait for more!
I had to give this book 5 stars because lets face it, anything less would have just been wrong! Mellie George has once again pulled at my heart strings, making me cry, laugh, yell into the darkness of my room and punch at my mattress!! This 2nd book in her BBR series was steamy, and filled with just the right amount of drama with adding the new character Scott (that hopefully I get a chance to scream at and use my mattress as it was his face to punch it in the next books in the series). I loved Ryder in book 1, fell even more for him in book 2 and have a feeling that in book 3 I'll be wishing even harder to be the lucky Everleigh! I was glad that we also got to see a little more of Jude's humor, and finally get to meet the girl who captured the heart of Kris, and well Beau and Danni, they are just that couple you'd love to sit in a bar and get wasted with :)
Looking forward to the next installments of this series!!
Rogue picks up exactly where Rebel leaves off. We jump right back in with Ryder being in Cincinnati and Everleigh dealing with her dad. Ryder is dealing with the fallout of running to be with Everleigh. I enjoy how the story in Rogue grows, I feel like you get a better glimpse into everyone's lives in this world that they've created. I love how Ryder is this bad boy rocker who is undoubtedly in love with Everleigh and he's so sweet with her. Everleigh became a little more likeable in this book, more accepting of Ryder's love and life, less complainy and such. The introduction of the 3rd POV at the end has me absolutely DYING to read the next book!!

This is the second book in the Bad Blooded Rebel series and I loved it. We get to know Ryder and Evie better and see their love begin to grow. This book goes a bit deeper into the life of Evie and the difficulties she's going through. Ryder has fallen for her and shows up where she works and rocks his way into her life. It was great to see how Ryder becomes not only someone she can love but someone she can lean on and trust. This story will have you shedding some tears but will also have you laughing. Can't wait to read book three!
Ryder is trying to get Everleigh to understand what he sees in her. She is very insecure because of an ex-boyfriend from hell. Ugh Scott is a really dirt bag.
Everleigh's relationship with her dad is so sweet I really like this girl.
I can't stop reading these finish one and I grab the next one.
I am really looking forward to Beau and Danni's story I knew there's big things going on there.
This review is for all 4 books. I enjoyed every bit of Ryder and Everleigh's story. Ryder is an awesome book boyfriend in every way. Everleigh is such a sweetheart, she didn't deserve everything that happened to her. Loved all the supporting characters too. Wish for more of Ryder and Everleigh. Thank you Mellie for an amazing story!!
Short and scary! Ryder proves how much he loves Evie when he comforts her when her father dies and again when Scott attacks her in the club. I don't understand Scott's behavior if he thinks Evie is so useless!
Again, their relationship is too fast. The story is feeling a little unreal? They've just been together a week and they already 'love' each other. Plus, it didn't felt like she even grieved for the loss of her father.
