Fun, flirty, and a little bit sexy... If you like romantic comedy with a Christmas theme, a sexy rich guy, an Irish heroine who mutters in Gaelic, a crazy bet, a long held secret, and lots of pets then chances are, you’ll enjoy LOVING LOGAN.
What Bailey O’Donlan wants this Christmas is for Logan Mitchell, the only man she's ever loved, to disappear before he learns her secret.
She's not asking much. After all, Mitch has disappeared before. Bailey’s seen neither hide nor hair of him in eight long years, ever since the Christmas Eve she climbed through his bedroom window with stars in her eyes.
Instead, what she gets is one stray golden retriever, one conga-dancing basset hound with nervous gas, four kittens, and two brothers who can’t wait to meddle in her life.
Rich and successful, Logan has come home to stay, and to escape from being Society magazine’s Most Eligible Bachelor. Ever since the magazine hit the newsstands, he’s been getting letters. And not just your typical fan mail kinds of letters, either. He’s getting marriage proposals by the truckload, and strange women are asking him to father their children. He’s got pictures of women in all manner of dress and some not dressed at all.
When Bailey embarrasses him in front of their friends, he foolishly accepts a bet offered by Bailey’s brother Greg--that Logan can make Bailey fall in love with him again before Christmas day. But Logan’s plans to win Bailey over get completely derailed when he learns that she’s already in love--with the man who left her with a broken heart and a young daughter.
The O’Donlan clan has another agenda, however, and it’s not long before Bailey and Logan square off with super-soakers, bologna and brussels sprout casseroles, beer-drenched shirts, a freakish late night pizza delivery, secret decoder rings, a mob of big-haired women, and some wild entertainment called Foreplay.
So what’s going to happen when Logan finds out that Bailey’s daughter is his?
As KATIE BRYAN, I write CHICK LIT and ROMANTIC COMEDY. I'm the author of the WOOF BOOK series and Loving Logan.
I currently live in Georgia with my family, one overweight German shepherd and three very spoiled cats. I have a varied background in the military, the airlines, antiques, and medicine. My favorite career is writing and sharing stories with readers and fellow writers.
As KT BRYAN, I'm an action, adventure, ROMANTIC SUSPENSE/THRILLER author who enjoys good wine, great art, Tuscany, and a touch of mayhem. (You never know what you might see when you wake up suddenly in the dark.) I’m the author of TEAM EDGE. USA TODAY by Kathy Altman says:
"If you're looking for a darkly thrilling read as unpredictable as it is emotionally wrenching, look no further. With The EDGE of TRUST, KT Bryan deftly delivers all that and more. Both the plot and the characters are gritty and layered, the story's intensity rising with every turn of the page. The book can be graphic at times, but the brutal edges are softened by Sara and Dillon's poignant recollections of more innocent, remorse-free times. These memories provide a stirring contrast to the overpowering feelings of hurt and anger that shadow every interaction between Sara and Dillon — even when they're running for their lives. Bryan had me asking myself over and over again the question that signifies a gratifying romance: How in the world will these two ever end up together?
Dillon's journal entries, recorded during his time spent undercover, were my favorite part of the story. In the midst of the couple's agonizing over whether their marriage is dead (while dodging bullets and jumping off cliffs), these snippets written by Dillon reminded me how much he cared for Sara, since he wrote them for her. Not only because she's a journalist always on the lookout for an exclusive, but because, before the revelations about his supposed affair, and before the explosion that ripped them apart, he felt close to her, and his journal allowed him to maintain that connection. I would have loved to have seen, at the story's end, some reference to Sara finding these journals, to reading them, and her reaction to this heartfelt reminder that Dillon never stopped thinking about her. Never stopped loving her.
Bryan excels at plot twists — veering the story toward a road that isn't anywhere on the map.
Adventure, betrayal, revenge and redemption — trust me, you'll find it all in The Edge of Trust. And after reading this story you'll be as eager as I am to dive into the next book in Bryan's Team Edge series, The Edge of Honor. The hero is a Navy SEAL. Go ahead. Try to resist. Me, I'm not that strong. Because, you know, we're talking SEALs. Hooyah!
Unfortunately I have nothing real positive to say except Logan was sweet. Bailey had to be the most childish and annoying heroine I've come across in a long time.
I am at a loss as to why this book got so many 5 stars but I'll assume it was just me not being in the right frame of mind for this story.
Bailey O’Donlan's Christmas Wish List has only one item on it. She wants Logan Mitchell, the only man she has ever loved, to disappear before he learns her secret. She isn't hoping for anything out of the ordinary. Logan has left before without a word for eight very long and painful years, the morning after she crawled through his window and into his bed.
Logan Mitchell, now rich and successful, came from humble beginnings and has returned home to stay as well as escape his Society title as Most Eligible Bachelor. Baily embarrasses him in front of their friends and Logan accepts a bet her brother has thrown down. All he has to do is make Bailey fall in love with him again by Christmas.
What happens, when in anger, Bailey shouts her secret at Logan and he learns Bailey's daughter is his as well? When Bailey wrote him while he was in America at University, after their brief encounter, and asked him to come home...he should have listened instead of throwing the letter away!
I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it!!
Outstanding weekend read... addicting and awaiting sequel.... Come on Katie, get those creative juices flowing and add to the Loving Logan "series".... I recommend it highly for an enjoyable, fun read....
In Loving Logan by Katie Bryan, Logan returns to his hometown after eight years. He soon makes it his goal to get Bailey to fall in love with him. Having grown up together and having had that one night together eight years ago on Christmas Eve, Logan thinks it’ll be easy. He doesn’t realize just how much he hurt her all those years ago when he left and never looked back. And how will he react when he finds out that Bailey’s daughter is really his? With the help of Bailey’s older brothers, will they be able to forgive each other for what has happened in the past and admit their feelings for one another?
There aren’t even words to explain how much I enjoyed Loving Logan. I literally could not put this book down. Katie Bryan did what a lot of other authors can’t do; she brought these characters to life. Everything they said, thought, and did was real. The dialogue, the characters’ behavior, and their reactions to certain situations were all completely realistic. Before I knew it, I was rooting for Logan and Bailey more than I have during a book in a long time. The tension between them, the obvious love they have for each other, and their history made their relationship so intriguing. There were some humorous parts and some heartfelt moments that had me tearing up. It is ultimately a story about love, forgiveness, and hope, and it is a must-read for any romance fan; if you’re not into romance, this book will make you a fan. This is honestly one of my favorite books now, and I cannot wait to read other books by Bryan.
For readers who enjoy connecting with the memorable characters in a romance novel, LOVING LOGAN provides us with such a loveable pair Rich as any Irish stew, this story of second chances will find you cheering for the reunion between Bailey and Logan. Logan is definitely the most-eligible man Bailey wants on her everyday menu, and I cannot blame her one bit. Seasoned with a menage of adorable secondaries--attention animal lovers--the pages of this book will delight the pickiest reader. Like the many times I've enjoyed the chemistry between Bogey and Bacall, I look forward to seeing Logan and Bailey laughing and loving in more novels from K. T. Bryan!
This story just didn't do it for me. I'm usually not a fan of the "I have a secret, you have a baby" plots especially when it takes forever for the secret to be revealed. And, that's what happen here. It just took too long for Bailey to tell the truth, and she was just too childish for me. But I finished it but I didn't read every page. If you like these type of love stories then this one is for you.
This book is a fun read. Bailey and Logan have known each other since they were kids. Eight years ago they came together and Kelsey was the result of that night. Logan however didn't know anything about her or how sick Bailey was while she was pregnant. Logan has come back home to finally see if they can have a future together. I love this book. Lots of laughs.
3.5 stars A story about regrets, consequences of our actions and second chances with a HEA. Good romance novel, with great characters. I wish the author would've added a few more scenes where Logan and Bailey discussed what happened between them and fleshed out how they resolved it, but overall a good read.
