I won this book from a Goodreads Giveaway. And it's a real treat! I have a nephew that is obsessed with trucks and he really enjoyed it! It's a quick cute read!

I received this book as a part of first reads (for free) in exchange for a review. While this book is very informative, it doesn't captivate the intended audience range of children ages 3-6. The book reads like a textbook with none of the rhyming and poetic prose typical of children's books. The artistry of the book is lacking as well. The words on the page are too big and there are too many of them on the page. The drawings are a bit blurry and printed on thin quality paper. This book may be better for older children who have a research project on garbage. I did learn that there are five different types of garbage trucks but I don't think my son did as he lost interest quickly.

This book is bright and colorful; the font is easy to read. It is very informative. I found some difficulty with the illustrations; they are computer produced and not very clear. My 10 year old grandson enjoyed the content of the book but wished that the garbage trucks had been more cartoon like with faces and eyes. I would buy the book for any child interested in garbage trucks just for the content alone. I learned things I did not know! I was given a free copy of the book from Goodreads for the purpose of reviewing it.

I won this book from a Goodreads Giveaway. After reading this book, my 4 year old said, "This is neat. I like this one." And then he asked me to read it again. There is a lot of information squeezed into this little book and the interactive sections helped to break up all those facts and descriptions. I would have rated this book higher if the pictures were clearer; with an informational book like this I think the images should have been more refined.

I received this book from a goodreads giveaway. It is packed with information, but for the younger audiences it is difficult to sit and read the whole thing. I read it with my kids at daycare and the older ones really enjoyed it the younger ones just wanted to look at the pictures and ask questions, which the book gave me the answers to give them. I would recommend this book for children that are interested in how things work and trucks.
