Oh hell yes! You get all your answers! To Daniel and LYDIA!! Eeep! Oh, you'll want to know. Hold your breath, maybe even pinch your nose! We are diving in and it's a deep, deep pool here. You are not going to want to come up for air.

****FULL REVIEW****
Lydia has left Endure and with what she learns in Brazil, she trusts no one and she's alone. Daniel is struggling without her and no word from her. To make it harder yet, Nick has returns to the Endure and not sharing any news with Daniel on Lydia. Still looking for a cure to the deadly bacteria Lydia questions why she's still working this project with the secrets she learns. But she's got the genius to figure it out, to save them and the world. Daniel is working on finding who at the UN is involved with the bacteria. Someone high up in the UN and military is, as we learned, is involved with the Maven Initiative. But who? On the run for their lives, our trio will come to learn many secrets.

Hold your breath, maybe even pinch your nose! We are diving in and it's a deep, deep pool here. You are not going to want to come up for air. Lydia has left Endure, for research of the current project, and other intimate reasons. The secrets she learns will blow you and her out of the water!

OH, oh oh! So many answers to the small questions, and HUGE ONES I've wondered about and now I get to know. And now, there is more questions created as well. But Oh Boy this book is full of story! You have your romance and you have your smiles and tears. But I love what I learn of the story here with Lydia. Even with Daniel and Nick. Soooo much here!!

Oh goodness do I love Daniel. He is hanging by a string with Lydia leaving unexpectedly and not talking to him. Brooke is that thread holding him together. A great friend and she knows a few of Lydia's secrets, so even though she can't tell she knows the truth deep down. We even learn a great deal more of Brooke. We even see one of Daniel's past flings. *giggle* I do love this woman and her tactics. I don't want to mention to much about Lydia as that will give away a big play here. But she's a bit on the emotional side with all going on. At times I had a hard time connecting with her, but I've known others to have the same responses as she.

The dual POV is amazing here so easily we get information for the case. And even though I know I'd be just as worried and paranoid from either Daniel or Lydia's side of things, we see how crazy all the self induced stress is and keep it light for us as a reader.

In the end, I can't wait to get the fourth book! I think we are safe at the end, at least for the moment, but I just want to make sure!

*I received an eCopy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

What an ending to book 2! I think I was equally heartbroken for both Lydia and Daniel at Lydia’s sudden departure from the Endure. Although I understood her reasoning my heart still ached for both parties. Progeny picks up with Lydia in Brazil, working with Nick at a research facility in an attempt to find a countermeasure to the utter destruction the Maven initiative seeks to plague the world with.

I honestly don’t know how to review this book without revealing some major spoilers so I’m going to be a little vague. What’s most important is this – Huchton sure knows how to drop some major bombs on her readers. I think I lost count after the third major revelation. Honestly, most of them were so surprising I had to re-read some passages to make sure I hadn’t imagined them.

I have to say that crafting a story this complex and full of chaos is seriously genius. I’m not sure I’ve ever read a sci-fi that can incorporate such intricate details AND nail the romance on the head. I’m amazed.
Progeny challenges our favorite characters (Lydia, Daniel, Nick, Brooke, Cordy, etc.) to make some unbelievably difficult decisions. With the possible and probable destruction of half the world’s population looming in the near future, many seemingly impossible situations arise. Despite some serious tension and downright hostility our characters must put aside their feelings and work together to save humanity.

Like the first two books in the series, Progeny is full of action, but on a whole new level. As figurative bomb after bomb goes off within the story my attention never strayed and I devoured the book in just a few hours. I am so beyond in love with this story, truly a hidden gem that I want the entire world to discover! (If I could just develop some hacker skills like Daniels and broadcast this book to the world I would…alas I am in no way tech savvy)

Progeny does not disappoint and I CANNOT wait to see what happens in book 4 after the major shock at the end!

Again…sorry for the vague review but in the words of River Song…”Spoilers.”

I won an eARC of Progeny in a giveaway.

The latest installment in the Endure series is another smart, sexy, action-packed read. Daniel and Lydia's mission becomes more critical than ever when their personal circumstances change and shocking new information about the Maven Initiative comes to light. I enjoyed this book tremendously and am looking forward to the next book....especially after my suspicions about a certain someone's involvement in the conspiracy look to be correct after that ending!

I highly recommend this series if you are looking for a fast-paced read with the perfect combo of science, intrigue, and romance.

Recensione sul mio blog:
http://pleaseanotherbook.tumblr.com/p...

Grazie!

“’We always have a choice, Dr. Ashley. It’s what we do with the options we’re given that’s important.’” (Kindle Location 423).
“’You can’t blame yourself for putting people into a dangerous situation you didn’t create.’” (Kindle Locations 3297-3298).

Book three picks up after a bit of time from the end of Nemesis. Lydia has been gone long enough for them to send Dr. Nick back after lack of funding for both off-Endure researchers and she is now by herself in what may became potential enemy territory. With what she has learned and how she thinks Daniel feels, Lydia feels more alone than she’s ever felt before. She continues working on the cure to the bacteria she was studying on the Endure, but is plagued by doubt about everything and everyone. Has she left Daniel for good, or will this genius power couple get back together, even after knowing what they know about each other?

The reveals are grandiose in this book and the lengths both Daniel and Lydia will go for love are insane. The tension has been building from book one and we get the exciting third book of all hell breaks loose! Some conflicts are resolved, but the grand plotline, the good versus evil theme is still ongoing and yet to be concluded in this third novel. THIS IS NOT A TRILOGY. Progeny is not the final book. Huchton leaves the book with her greatest cliffhanger of the Endure series.

The greater plotline that’s fully revealed in this third book of the series is quite a doozy, meandering in and out of the gray area of genetic manipulation and selective breeding. But Huchton makes it personal. She brings a hypothetical (I hope) scientific concept to life right in front of your eyes with one of her characters and you are in the midst of the emotional ride as this gray area plays out. Who will win in the end? Will there be any winners? This third book is the most apocalyptic of the series, as it delves into possibilities that Huchton might explore in book four concerning a major decrease in population! She pulls out all the stops for this book, but looking back you know she had some of these greater designs in mind from the beginning. There were hints. There were clues. Hopefully in book four we get the conclusion we’ve been looking for.

Note: I’ve tried to keep it spoiler free. Anything obvious isn’t in here but you never know. Fair warning.

“O.M.G. That was an amazing ride!” That is literally what I sent Starla minutes after finishing Progeny. Progeny takes us once more into the world of Dr. Lydia Ashley and Daniel Brewer, set two months after the heart-wrenching ending of Nemesis (Yes, I’m still heartbroken over that!).

It starts off two months after Nemesis left off and things are not so great at all. I loved the relationship between Daniel and Brooke. It honestly was one of my favorite parts of this book. Daniel was lucky to have a friend like Brooke, who stuck by his side in a situation that would have been trying for anyone else to have dealt with. Brooke’s character really came alive in the first and last parts of Progeny. The last few scenes she was in were also well-done. I like that she challenged Lydia like she did. Again, Daniel is lucky to have a friend like Brooke.

Progeny sees the Lydia and Daniel’s world opening up further than even they could imagine, with secrets and plot twists I didn’t see coming. The conspiracy definitely runs much farther than anyone could have guessed, and seeing it all come to a head in Progeny was nothing short of amazing. This author clearly knows how to do her research on the scientific bits, and she definitely puts a lot of thought into building the mystery and revealing it to the characters and readers slowly. I honestly can’t wait to see how book four closes this out and I suspect it will be longer than the first three because of the amount of ground it has to cover—which is totally fine by me. I would actually love to see the series continue past the end of this particular big bad’s plotline, if for no other reason than I am absolutely in love with Lydia, Daniel, and Brooke.

5/5 stars to Progeny. This book had me glued to my Kindle half the time and doing happy dances the other half. I can’t wait for book four!
