About the author

Rhys Ford is an award-winning author with several long-running LGBT+ mystery, thriller, paranormal, and urban fantasy series and is a two-time LAMBDA finalist and a multiple Gold and Silver Medalist by the Florida Authors and Publishers President’s Book Awards. She is published by Dreamspinner Press, DSP Publications and Rogue Firebird Press.

She shares the house with Harley, a gray tuxedo with a flower on her face, Badger, a disgruntled former alley cat, and Gojira, a mercurial Tabico as well as a ginger cairn terrorist named Gus. Rhys is also enslaved to the upkeep of a 1979 Pontiac Firebird named Tengu and enjoys murdering make-believe people.

2 1/2 Stars - Short and sweet; new (salty) family traditions

'Book' #3.5

The audiobooks with Rhys Ford's Cole McGinnis series have been in my ears many hours lately. Dirty Sweets is a free mini shortie (http://liveyourlifebuythebook.com/201...).

A small tasty tidbit for us already addicted.... ~ Not much but quickly read and enjoyed in five minutes.

Any time I can revisit Cole and Jae I'm happy. This is a short, sweet story about the two of them creating a special Christmas memory and revisiting one of Cole's special childhood traditions. A nice short.

A really absorbing series and I do suggest reading them all (6 novels and 4 shorts out now). Each story is intriguing, fun, a little angsty with drama and some captivating characters.

Although I don't know if anyone could actually survive this much shooting, it is fiction so I just went with it, and am so glad I did as I enjoyed some very fun and entertaining writing and interesting characters.

I adore this series - it is one of my very favourites, and this short shows clearly why it's such a good series! Jae is a sweetheart, and he clearly loves Cole so much. Cole is trying so hard to do things to cheer Jae up after his family disowning him and being shot by psycho-woman. It makes me want to squeal, and I can't wait for the rest of this series. I love it so much!

A wonderful little sugary sweet snippet of Cole and Jae starting their own Christmas traditions. I’m with Jae on the concept of M&M’s mixed with Skittles - *shivers*. But the potential for gay gingerbread men? I’m all over that - *grins*. Short or long, any extra time with Cole and Jae is a treat all on its own!

Read with other Dirty books as it doesn't have the same impact standalone

Just a super fun, cute little read with some more of a favorite couple. It's Jae and Cole's first Christmas and they celebrate in the cutest ways!

I also loved that Ms. Ford provided us with our own little recipe to do our own cookie ornaments. And yay for gay gingerbread men!
