Ed's experience was NOT a near-death experience, (NDE)! It was a real visit to Heaven,(Yes, Heaven IS a real place!) and NOT some mythical place. He wanted to write a story about Heaven and so he prayed to God and asked to visit Heaven, (Write what you know). God answered that prayer. He learned that everything in Heaven makes music... everything makes a joyful noise unto the Lord. Heaven is a joyful place. Come and follow Ed as he describes the fantastic things he saw, heard, felt, and smelled. Come on!! Dear Prospective After reading this delightful travelog in Heaven, would you be so kind as to return here and write a Review? Please.
I never expected to read a book on heaven that was so filled with wonder meant and excitement as I turned its pages. Spellbound, I stayed up most of the night unable to rest until I finished the last chapter. My soul just quivered in excitement as the book opened up the “glass darkly” and let me see the most detailed description of heaven and man’s destiny that I have ever encountered.
While reading this book,I felt like I was there with him, seeing all the wondrous colors of the flowers and grasses!Looking upon New Jerusalem as our future home was so exciting! His words made me feel like I was there with the Angel! Great Book!!! Manti Utah
I do believe..I hope and pray I get to heaven ..I'm a sinner and pray God will forgive me. I believe in Jesus and how he suffered for our sins. I love him with all my heart..
The Heavens have always excited me. I read a lot on this subject. This didn't hold much that was unique to me, but it's nice to re-visit some things and envision what I can. I will say that the book was absolutely riddled with poor grammar and typos, but the message was a good one.
Heart warming and reassuring that New Jerusalem awaits those of us who accept Jesus Christ as our savior. I especially liked the scriptural references that accompanied the authors description of all he saw.
I had a near death experience in 1971, and since then I've read everything I could find about heaven. Ed's visit to this breathtaking place brought joy to my heart and satisfaction to my soul. Oh, for the day when we will behold Jesus and be able to enjoy Him forever.
A few years ago I gathered my stack of books about Heaven on the kitchen table with a notebook. I only read these books if the author knows the Lord. Point by point I made a list of things each author experienced that were the same as the others, though each author showed a different aspect of the same experience. And so I read HEAVEN:A joyful place, by Ed Gaulden this evening. As with each of the authors he saw colors he'd never seen here on earth. He heard music coming from the flowers, perfect grass and the trees! Each book I read about Heaven visits is conformation of the others. This Book is no exception! The author also makes his experience come to life and like the others saw and experienced things that one cannot begin to put in earthly words. I dropped one star because it wasn't edited. There were many mistakes in grammar in the first half or more of the book. An example is using the word 'shined' instead of 'shown.' I usually lose interest when this happens, but this time I kept reading to the end, and loved his testimony as much as the others.
I chose this title because since losing my only brother almost seven months ago, I often try to picture the glory and wonder he must be experiencing. Thank you Ed for bringing me a peace that I will try to share with others. I intend to reread several parts and make notes of your words that I believe will also move others.
Is this a book or a magazine article? Either way, I'm disappointed. I think I'll give up on these "Heaven" books. I found the author's interpretation to be self serving and barely believable.
I could visualize heaven. I am so happy knowing that this will be my home forever. I think many people who read Ed Gauldens book will accept Jesus as there saviour.
