I was thinking this would explain magic squares and give a bit of history too. Instead I got a how to guide to making magic squares. This is great for those who want to do something fun with math.
This gets a five for originality! Seriously... it's fun and short so it's not like you're wasting a lot of time. I really enjoyed the author's humor and his take on life. So much so that I took his recommendation for other books as well. Really want to read more from him and those he enjoys reading. :D
Meh... It's more a book about a magic trick than about being tricky smart. A neat trick mind you, but still just a one shot trick with no real mathematical insight.
