The First Four

Rate this book
Books 1 – 4 in the bestselling Tea Series. The series serves up fast, fun reads full of action, romance, and laughs. A fresh take on the serial novel, not every mystery is solved at the end of the day—or at the end of the book. Each installment keeps you coming back for more! Hot Tea - Cara O’Flynn is an independent redhead with a crazy Irish family, a penchant for vintage nightgowns, and no job. Emboldened by a windfall of cash and her sassy sister Teagan, Cara is convinced starting a new career will be a cinch … until she takes an odd job cleaning out a dead man’s condo. Suddenly, she’s hunting down a killer, avoiding a cranky cop, and what’s going on with her new roommate? Hopefully, her habit of looking at things a little sideways can help her escape the mayhem. Suspenseful and sexy, Hot Tea will have you biting your nails, laughing out loud, and clamoring for the next book! Sweet Tea - Cara O’Flynn’s luck is looking up—and heating up. Her career options range from housekeeping for dead people to life coaching online. Not to mention her hot new roomie A.J. But when she stumbles across the contents of a dead cop’s secret room, her prospects go from thrilling to threatening. Was someone murdered? Is Cara next on the killer’s list? Her only hope for making sense of the mess lies with an unstable cop, her nosey family, and a strong cup of tea. Full of intrigue, innuendo, and a hearty helping of hilarity, Sweet Tea will leave you dying to know what happens next! Iced Tea - Cara O’Flynn’s life is a little out of control. She still doesn’t have a job. She’s still heating things up with A.J. And she still can’t make sense of the dead cop’s diaries. Cara is sure a cup of tea and some kitchen scrubbing will get her back on track. But when Officer Jerkface starts stalking her and threatening the O’Flynn family, it may be time to call in the cavalry—or at least her sister Teagan, a lawyer, and her neighbor with the “big blue balls”! Packed with surprises and sisterly snark, Iced Tea will have you howling and hanging on the edge of your seat. Green Tea - Cara O’Flynn is in over her head. She’s in the middle of a messy quest to catch a serial killer. She may be in love with her roommate A.J. And her brother is getting married in less than a week. At least an attorney is handling the murder investigation. Or so Cara thinks … until A.J. goes missing, a deranged cop breaks into her apartment, and her lawyer starts lying to her. To keep a sociopath from spoiling her brother’s big day, Cara will have to face her fears and her family. It’s time to call in the big guns—Mom and Daddy O’Flynn. This time, Cara is going to get her man. If you’re eager for answers, grab Green Tea and hang on for a rowdy, hair-raising ride!

I signed up for Goodreads years ago, with every intention of joining in. Life got in the way. Three adult children, five grandchildren, and blessed to have my father able to travel and visit (at age 95) has been keeping me busy. Since signing up, I've been to Ireland a couple of times, accompanied my father on a number of cruises (including from England to the US and from California to Hawaii and back). I know just how blessed I am.

It's time to get back to my life and a huge part of my life is reading and getting to know my readers. It may take a little time to get accustomed to this site and to populate everything, but know that I am working on it.

For those generous enough to have stayed with me all these years, I owe you such a debt of gratitude. I'm back and much more focused.

An American Irish family. The stories revolve around Cara, one of the grownup daughters, her family and the people in her life.

As all good Irish families they are big tea drinkers and the kettle is never off the boil for long.
I found this book to be a quick, entertaining read with an enjoyable storyline.

Each book runs directly into the next, with a fluidity in continuing the story.

After reading these first four books in the series they left me wanting to read the rest of the series.

Enjoyable Read

The banter between sisters and the family interactions was perfect! I laughed so hard. Great way to unwind and end my day. Looking forward to books 5-20.

You must start with the first book in the series and read them in sequence. These books are written in serial form with each one taking up exactly where the previous one left off. Fun reads but don't forget which book you read last...
