Dr. Henley Carr has dedicated her meteoric career to creating the first truly sentient Copy. With his genius grade DNA, organic+computer assisted brain and hyper-enhanced body; he’s designed to be the ultimate SuperMan. But young, ambitious Dr. Carr has been hiding an important detail from the defense corporation funding her project and from the world. She’s expanded her work with her new LUC prototype by introducing organic, Original Species hormones into his system. He’s suddenly becoming more Original than Copy, more man than she ever expected. He is thinking, calculating, evolving and FEELING! When she’s forced to abort the project and terminate Luc, she realizes she’s stumbled onto something much more explosive than a highly refined Lethal Ultimate Commando. She’s stumbled on to the means to create a species superior to Originals in every way, a species that could eradicate and replace every Original in existence, and to make matters worse, she’s fallen in love with him along the way.

Hi, I'm Kimball Lee and I'd like to welcome you to the many worlds of my imagination! The topics of my novels and novella-series will vary, but my style of writing remains the same. I don't write 700 page books padded with useless words that take three pages to describe a doorknob! I do write funny, interesting, happy, sad, romantic, often titillating, and always thought provoking books that pack a lot good reading into just the right number of pages.
My first novella, Legal Action, changed my life over night with more than 250,000 downloads in the first months. I write twelve to fifteen hours a day and love ALMOST every minute of it! My social life has completely disappeared, but interaction with my readers through email, Facebook, and Twitter makes me very happy... (As well as the occasional Diet Coke and chocolate cupcake!) I am represented by Joyce Holland at D4EO Literary Agency. Happy reading! Kimball

Amazing original concept, I got into this world so fast although not a big SciFi fan. This author knocked it out of the park, believable and an enjoyable and interesting read. 5 stars!

Interesting, and I enjoy the semikindle element while calculating how far/close we are to this 'futuristic' world. Oh, hurry the next part!

Good read. I wish it were longer (is it supposed to be a serial?), but it shows promise. I'm curious to know what'll happen next.

Short freebie. The conceptual elements were interesting and so was the science behind the science fiction. The lack of scene transitions was jarring, and the formatting made it a bit hard to read on my Kindle Paperwhite. Sometimes it was difficult to understand who was speaking. It did cut off a bit abruptly with a teaser of a sequel to come, which I will most likely pick up as I enjoyed the story and am interested to see Luc's character develop.

I've been reading shorts to get to an end of year reading goal. I had this one in mind because it looked intriguing when I nabbed it as a Kindle freebie.

It's... okay. I just didn't feel like finishing it because I realized it wouldn't get better than okay.

As for the product itself, the formatting does not do well. There are no obvious scene breaks, and verbal and visual transitions are lacking.
