Great story, just how true can it be? Can this be a reality in todays' world?
This book is a very involved action thriller. It is hard to think of what could come to a reality in our society. With the problems in the Middle East, it is hard to fathom what can happen in the future. Governments are changing worldwide, and that can be scary. This book is really good and intriguing. I don't want to give many details as I don't wan5 to spoil the story for you. So I hope you read this, and then ask yourself these questions above and maybe more. No matter what part of the world you are from, this is a intriguing story indeed.
I just finished this story and looking forward to the next. This continuation of the prequel followed the story aand easily permitted the reader to follow the action.
Looking forward to the next sequel to see the villans get their due.
I loved the main characters in this book. They are well-written, fleshed out and are easy to connect with. The story has plenty of action and adventure with the typical Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone type shoot-em ups. As a matter of fact, the story reminds me of the scripts for several movies I've seen. Not necessarily a bad thing. That being said, I do have a major problem with the author's style. I can't decide if he thinks he's going to be paid per word; he has a word quota he has to meet; he's being paid for product placement; or he just thinks his readers have the attention span of a gnat. How many times in 3 paragraphs is it necessary to tell me that the car is a Mercedes-Benz SLK 350, that the motorcycle is a Hatley-Davidson Iron 883, the assault rifle is a MP5K, and the handgun is a Beretta 9mm? I do have a memory. I don't need to be reminded every other page that the main character is "the former SEAL". After a while it almost gets to be funny. You want to start counting how many times he can use the same phrase in one chapter. Mr Adams really is going to be a great writer because he developes characters that you really care about, but he needs to stop repeating himself. I hope there are several more books in this series and I look forward to reading them.
