Being in the wilderness is not a bad thing and sometimes God leads us there to speak to us for a time of growth. This sometimes weeds out the saints from the aints. In your darkest hours God does have a master plan. Learn and understand the power of praise and worship. Read this book to recognize the difference between the voice of God and the tricks of the enemy. Learn how to enjoy the walk through the wilderness as a time of triumph not of distress.
This book is a helpful handbook for a struggling Christian. It has three bonus sections: Woman Thou Art Loosed (specifically for women of course); Can You Stand to be Blessed? and Naked and Not Ashamed. Recommended.
One of the stand out quotes: "Things go to the wilderness to die." This has been my experience in my wilderness journey. Things that could not go with me to the promise land had to die and fall away in the wilderness. A difficult, sometimes seemingly impossible journey, but God goes with you. This book brings these truths to light. Good easy, yet profound read.
Basically this is a holistic growth book, the content was about wilderness is not that bad. Maybe bad for us now, but its needed for the promised land. The author argue that if you want to get the victory, you must be willing to go through the wilderness. it is not always easy to get the victory because it belongs to the other side of the wilderness.
This was a good Bible devotional study on the topic of water in the wilderness. I could relate to much of what was taught. Now, to go and dig some ditches! I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, but it did not in any way affect my review. All opinions are my own.
First book I have read of T D Jakes. A very enlightening author. I have not listened to a Pastor I have enjoyed so much since my Pastor Chuck Smith went home to be with the Lord
This book is easy to understand. You don't have to be a genius, it is written for the average person. There is a lot of material here to make a person think.
This book wasn’t such a bad read, I got some jewels from it. “Our nature demands that we worship something, now what that is, is totally up to us. “ -T. D. Jake’s
