My Missing Piece
4.5 Stars!

Tracy has done a wonderful job telling the story of Cambridge and Xander.
Cambridge is a young, beautiful, smart woman who has been holding herself back romantically and professionally. She had ventured out on her own as a teenager to protect herself and her daughter. It has been 17 years and she is still very cautious and has only a few close friends. She finds it difficult to trust and let people in to her world. She has taken the role of mother and provider very seriously and has prevented herself from becoming involved romantically.
Xander has loved and lost. He has made the decision to focus on his career and his new business venture. He has faithful employees but has never really gotten to know them. His lovely assistant is more than he could have ever asked for but with his tunnel vision he has never really taken notice of her. That all changes one friday evening when Xander stops by his new club and catches a glimpse of her from across the room. He can't believe his eyes, he is captivated by her. Cambridge notices and becomes uncomfortable. She quickly leaves before he is able to reach her.
Monday arrives and Cambridge is very nervous as to how her boss will approach this. Xander is unable to stop himself from pursuing her. She feels that this could get very strange and thinks others will see her as unprofessional. He is relentless and she soon begins to let her guard down and let him into her world. He can't believe that he knew so little about her and is overwhelmed at how much he wants to be a part of her life.
Cambridge's past soon catches up to her and this person does not want to see her find love, happiness or success. He thrives off the thought of her becoming that frightened teen that she was so many years ago. What he doesn't count on is Xander and his need to do anything in his power to protect her.
This was a beautiful story of unconditional love, learning to trust again, and feeling accepted for who you are. Have Cambridge and Xander found their missing piece? You will have to take the journey and find out! ~~Michele McMullen~~

My Missing Piece is a wonderful book! It's the love story of Cambridge and Xander. Cambridge is a single mother who never goes out, has no love life...she works and goes home to her daughter, Sidney. That all changes one night when her daughter asks to go to a concert at a club in town that is having an all ages night. Once there, she locks eyes with her boss, Xander, who is instantly attracted to this side of Cambridge that he has never seen before.

Cambridge fights the attraction despite the encouragement of her BFF Jackson and her daughter. She worries about what others will think of the boss/employee relationship. Good thing for Xander, he works for his dad who's been dating his assistant for 10 years so it's nothing new around the office. However, out of respect for Cam, they don't broadcast their relationship as it grows.

The biggest thing that I loved about this story is how Xander instantly stepped into a fatherly type role with Sidney once he learned that Cam had a daughter. Of course, how hard is it to win over a teenager if you happen to own one of the hottest clubs in town?? But to see the relationship between these two brought several smiles as I read.

Another hidden gem is Jackson, Cambridge's best friend. He's a single, gay man who has been there when Cam and Sidney needed somebody and he's great!

The dark part of this story comes from Sidney's past in the form of her stepbrother, Michael, who ends up working on a business contact with Xander's company and still has it out for Cam. How will the new couple handle it when the awful past between Michael and Cambridge comes to light?

The author writes a great story line, she develops strong characters, and overall produces a good, solid book. My Missing Piece can be read as a stand alone but there is mention at the end of Sidney having her own story. I hope so, I look forward to reading more about these characters that I've grown to love!

Tracy Lynn Caldwell's "My Missing Piece" is a straight up romance novel that is wonderful reading for anyone that likes to get that "feel good" sensation all over. Her two main characters, Cambridge Sinclair and Alexander "Xander" Ever, draw you in immediately. From there, the story moves from the awkward giddiness of their relationship's beginnings to the bond that they create as they get to know each other on a personal, physical, and emotional level. The bond is strained somewhat when Cambridge's estranged brother, Michael, decides to take it upon himself to create all kinds of havoc in his sister's life, sending Xander into a mad frenzy to keep Cambridge safe and keep the relationship that they have intact.
With a fulfilling ending and memorable secondary characters, such as Cambridge's daughter, Sidney, and Cambridge's best friend, Jackson, "My Missing Piece" is a delightfully humorous and emotionally moving novel that will leave the reader feeling both satisfied and happy well after they have finished this wonderful story.

A well-written story of love that evolves from two solitary hearts with brokenness in their pasts.Cambridge is a mom who didn't ask for what happened in her past and only needed the support that she wasn't given, her family basically cast her aside through no fault of her own. Xander has had his issues with love in the past. This story blends the 2 and a real relationship is able to grow and heal past wounds. Michael makes a perfect nemesis and has just enough ego and cruelty to create the twist needed.
The story line is real and believable. The side characters of Sydney, Jackson, and Michael all bring depth to the story. Can't wait to see if there will be additional books because I'd love to see what happens in the future and future happiness in the lives of Sydney and Jackson...

I liked the beginning of this, but then it sort of went downhill after the first few chapters.

It felt too fast and at times Cambridge's behavior was very awkward. I don't know, she went through a lot, and I really felt for her, but she acted like a teenager sometimes. I don't know what it was, but I never warmed up to her.

Xander wasn't bad, but kinda meh. So I really didn't care much for him.

Cambridge left home when she was young and strives to be the best mother she can. Xander has past issues but has had his eye on someone for awhile. Will they both be able to come together and find that love they need? I found myself reading and praying things went the way I seen them in my head. What a great story. The flows was perfect and the characters are strong.
