365 Days With God: A Daily Devotional

Rate this book
This devotional will encourage you on your journey with God - it contains small daily studies that will not take up too much of your time to read each day of the year. This devotional is intended for people who do not have a lot of time available to read lots of pages, before getting to the point of the chapter. There’s nothing worse than reading ten pages of text, waiting to get to the point, only to discover that you have learnt little. You do not need to start reading this devotional from January, and finish at the end of December of any given year. For example, you can start reading it from June of one year, and finish it in May of the next - the choice is up to you. Please be aware that this devotional contains an extra day for February 29 - for whenever there is a leap year. If you enjoy reading this book, there are many other titles by Christopher Roberts available to you at Amazon (Paperback And Kindle Editions Are Available For Most Titles). Because this is a daily devotional, it does not come with a contents page.

Hard to read

I think the thoughts behind the book are probably good, but there are so many typos, misspelled words, and random inappropriate commas that it is hard to read. I don't know where the blame should be attributed -- the author, his editors, or the conversion from print to electronic publishing -- but after struggling through a year of this book, I will be careful to avoid anything else written by Mr Roberts in the future.

A pleasant read

When I started this book I was not sure if I would read it all. I was afraid that it would take on a holier than thou attitude, but surprisingly that was not the case. This just gave some guidelines as how a person could get closer in their relationship with God or start a relationship with God. Although it is written with Christians in mind there were ideas that could apply to others faiths. I did have some problems with misspellings but these were few in numbers, which I felt were spell check error like piers for peers simple things that in one way were correct. Now did I come away more resolute in faith no, but I did have a lot more to think about. My recommendation is if you want to get concrete answers to faith-based questions see what this has to say. If you think you know all there is to know about faith and God then read this book you might have a few questions after reading.

A Yearly Devotional Worth Reading!

This is the first book I have read by Christopher Roberts and it won't be my last. He doesn't shy away from hard topics but offers applicable insights to use through our own trials. I enjoyed this devotional.
