This volume felt repetitive. The whole "oh no, we were interrupted AGAIN!" is boring.

This was the best volume yet. Maybe because it's the sexiest or maybe because they have their own place and it really shows maturity of the relationship. I really love how we will see them start a new business. This is awesome. I like that Miko is kind of giving into Kagura more. I also like this new character. I hope his cutie patootie self is in the next volume.

Also this volume was a seamless story not individual stories with each character. Awesome progression in the Manga.

Okay good, we left the weird baby thing behind and went back to what makes this manga such a guilty pleasure. This time Kagura turns into an Idol after noticing that Miko needs money to survive and be happy. She's working two jobs and it's hard on her. I feel so bad for poor Kagura and the curse he had placed upon him. He just can't catch a break. The art is just as stunning as ever and the plot keeps making me laugh and entertaining me greatly. Can't wait to read the final volume!

The following review is based off my own opinions, thoughts and reactions. So in other words brace yourself. *There may be inappropriate words such as curse words.* You have been advised in advance.*

HILARIOUS

I can't think of a manga book more perfect to making you laugh super hard, but get pissed off at the same time.

So many funny parts, but at the same time there were many moments that involved the main characters where I just wanted to slap the daylights out of them.

I do think this manga teaches the lesson of communication is key in relationships. Not to mention, be care when getting in bed with incubi.

All in all, I'm looking forward to continuing this series!

Cute couple, interesting life choices

I think Miko's dad is hilarious! I wish the author took more time exploring some of the arcs introduced in this volume. They could have easily built out the idol story with the consequences it came with and the find intrigue potential. Also, the almost human boyfriend route was also a bit half hearted. So while I loved the ideas the execution was underwhelming.

Side note, the lack of attention to details of Miko's human life stuff also feels like lazy working and missed opportunity for solid character and world building. Her high school scenes are mostly for convenience and it is easy to forget she goes to school... especially when she's working so much it running around doing other stuff. Honestly, I won't about her school attendance and grades.

This series was super cute! As is the trend I’ve seen in Manga, this story is really repetitive—Kagura and Miko spend 6 volumes loving each other but not allowing or accepting their love. Every volume Miko fights her feelings and goes back and forth on her decision to consulate their relationship. I understand that since she’s a very conservative teenager she struggles with her feelings, but it got a little frustrating at times.

Overall, I’d give this series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I enjoyed the plot and the demon battles. I really LOVE Mini Kagura. Kagura is really funny and such an entertaining character.

Mika and Kagura are given permission to live on their own.... with certain conditions. Kagura might be able to live off energy, but Miko still needs money to survive like any other normal human. Kagura's sudden stardom brings more trouble for the couple, and even throws in a comparison to Sakuya from Sensual Phrase. There seems to be a lot of repeated ground every time one of them starts to doubt, usually also timed with Kagura losing his powers.

Loved it...don't like the changes though

I loved this book and this series I just don't like the changes the author has made. In some of her earlier work it is more graphic in the love scenes and her male characters were way sexier. Shinjo Mayu is by far one of the best drawers I have ever seen. I have yet to see anyone who can draw better than her I applaud you.

An entertaining and surprisingly adorable tale of a spiritualy "blind" miko and the Incubus who falls in love with her (and her parents who are surpisingly okay with him being around, just as long as his powers are sealed and he is in his "tiny" form).

I like how Miko and Kagura’s relationship is being fleshed our more and their devotion to each other is more apparent than what it was at the beginning. It’s less lustful and more true which is something I love to see.

I wish that I just could read in peace cause I been so busy that basically I'm walking and reading. That's why it takes me a day or 2 if not the same day to read. This series I love them, I have laughed so much. What people are waiting get them. Is never to late.

I'm conflicted. The art and comedy is really good, but Kagura basically cheated on her (under my definition anyways) the entire fucking volume and she stayed with him.

Best one yet; much more slice of life and a bit more tiptoeing along the edge of publishable. They're so endearing. Can't wait to get my hands on the 6th!

Synopsis:

Shrine maiden Miko has sealed the powers of the sexy incubus Kagura, who has vowed to protect her. Kagura and Miko ask her father for permission to move out of the shrine and live together on their own. Surprisingly Miko's father readily agrees, but just what has this powerful priest done to Kagura?

My Thoughts:

I was pretty surprised when Miko's father let Miko and Kagura move out together. I figured he would do something to Kagura, but it wasn't what I was expecting. I understand why he doesn't want his daughter to be in love with a demon, but Kagura has always respected Miko when it comes to sex. He can be pushy sometimes, but he never takes advantage. And the few times she's ready to do it, someone always interrupts. Anyway, so Miko and Kagura are living on their own, but since Kagura can't make love to Miko, his powers are draining away every time he helps her exorcise a demon. It gets so bad that can't leave their apartment so that women all over don't cause a riot trying to get to him. Meanwhile, Miko is still going to school plus working two jobs and she's tired as hell all of the time. Kagura is worried about her health, but they need money so that Miko can survive.

Things get a little out of hand when chibi Kagura sees another guy kiss Miko on the forehead and he loses more energy due to his jealousy and passes out. Next thing you know, a dog has picked him up and a model brings him with her to her job thinking he's a doll. He ends up transforming back into his usual self when he unintentionally gains energy from all of the models touching him and ends up becoming a model himself. Things really get crazy when his career takes off and Miko is feeling insecure. They get into a fight and it takes a while before things can be explained and they make up.

Unfortunately, they end up right back where they started off, but they seem happy enough. I'm rooting for you, Kagura!

My review for the whole serie:

The art of the manga is really pretty. It's a pleasure to see the banter between Miko and Kagura. And chibi-Kagura is really adorable. It has funny moments as well as actions fighting demons. I like that Kagura needs to touch girls to survive. I really like the characters and the storyline.

I find the last volume confusing though, especially the end, I find it rushed and a 7th volume would have been welcome. I was expecting a wedding with Kagura's demon family on one side, and Miko's exorcist family on the other, and I think the tension between both groups would have been funny to show. But instead after Miko and Kagura get back together, I was sure her father had put Kagura in his chibi form again. I had to reread that part a few times to realize it was not Kagura's chibi form, but Kagura's and Miko's son. It does not say if they got married after all, it also does not say if their child is a human or a demon either.

I dunno, I was just disappointed with this one. I can't put my finger on why, though. Perhaps it's because this is, I think, the only story that span a full volume, not just a chapter or two, and the pacing fell flat. Perhaps it's because the story didn't reach it's full potential. Perhaps it's because factors that appeared early on in this story completely and inexplicably disappeared by the end and new plot devices were thrown in at the last minute. Perhaps it's just that this volume reuses the same tired jokes and tropes and I've just gotten bored.

So, this volume was neither good nor bad. It didn't make me angry like a certain past volume, but it didn't make me laugh like crazy like the others. It was just mediocre.

Though a new volume is going to come out this summer, I'm honestly not sure if I'm going to bother...

I kinda wish they had actually had sex in real life, instead of just in her dreams.
--------------
I knew that something was up with her father allowed them to live together. I thought the spell was kind of a cruel thing to do to Kagura, even though I understood his reasoning.
I enjoyed seeing Kagura being a star. He always had it in him. And, I loved the Sakuya reference. (Haven't read KP, but loved the anime!). But, I hated seeing him end up penniless after his final concert and his revelation. However, in the end, it was obvious what really mattered, and love triumphs over money in the relationship any day.

They're entertaining, but the fact that people keep blaming the entire relationship and all of its issues on Miko is obnoxious. In this one, she was even told by a demon that it was her fault that Kagura was working and that he was making out with the girl from his work. Uh-uh. Not cool. I'm losing faith in this author being a good person with good morals, to be honest. They just keep blaming all of the issues on Miko and that she hasn't had sex with Kagura yet. While I commend that she has finally admitted that yes, she -does- want to have sex with him and that's -her- choice, I think it's stupid as hell that everyone keeps blaming everything on her NOT having sex with him yet.

Oddly much better than the last volume. This volume deals with Miko and Kagura choosing to become independent, and find an apartment of their own. Miko and her incubus familiar also each find new career paths to help support each other. Despite the two having the occasional curse and succubus now intruding into their lives. Kagura also takes it more seriously, and wants to fully support his fiancé here, even though it's difficult for a demon like himself. And Miko is also trying to further her abilities so she can be more useful. All the while trying to find stable ground and gain proper respect form Miko's strict Shinto priest of a father. I really want to know if they can manage it.

This volume was hilarious since the romantic conflict was her father's spell on Kagura. Some of the pacing of the last 2 chapters in the job arc was a bit rushed and a little confusing, but on a whole it was a cute and romantic arc. I like how Miko is so determined to become more powerful in order to best her father's spell.

What? Huh?! Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh?!?!?!?!?!? Mayu Shinjo, you're confusing me! I mean, what's up with the dude who says he has a crush on Miko? I just . . . you know what, I am just confused. That's basically all I have to say about this volume.
