honestly i'm confused but it's been a couple years since i read this series so. to be expected? in the first half i was mostly like 🤔 were these books always this horny? 🤔 and then they started talking about the lust stigmata so i suppose that answers that
This volume had a really interesting turn of events, with Aki choosing to forget Kana in order to save her. This makes him turn back into the uncaring vampire he was before. The strongest parts of this series is the friendship between the three main characters, and the vampire world building. Both are very well done! I’m also enjoying the growing romance between Aki and Kana - it started as infatuation or sexual, and is moving into love.
In Volume 6 of He’s My Only Vampire, we get to see how much Kana really means to Aki. The couple is reunited, and it’s so clear upon seeing them how much they’ve missed each other. Kana comes back to Aki, even knowing his darkest secrets. But then Aki makes a sacrifice that drastically alters their relationship.
I feel so bad for both characters now, and I really hope that Kana can figure out a way to save Aki.
And now that we’ve found out more about what the love triangle between Kana, Aki, and Eriya, I find myself really hoping that she ends up with the right guy at the end of the story. I only know childhood Eriya, but I don’t think I like him nearly as much as Aki. Hoping for the best, and hoping I manage to track down the last four volumes of this series sometime soon!
This is the first volume that's a new read for me after I first started reading the series back in 2019. In re-reading the first five, I don't think I really gleaned anything new from it, but I definitely needed to reread because I didn't remember anything.
I feel like this memory thing is all a stall tactic, and the fact that Aki is an asshole to Kana and everyone else just because he forgot her is annoying. (I'm pretty sure the memory loss tactic is why I dropped the series the first time to begin with, because ugh.) He's a garbage person just because he forgot her? Bleh. But my assumptions about Eriya mean he's even worse.
Jin is precious. We must protect him at all costs.
Just when it seems like things are starting to come together, Aki giving up the lust stigma to get Kana back results in him losing all memory of her. Can't say this new cold and uncaring Aki is anything great, though can see how that could add to the "chaos" as Eve and her Dealer indicate to hopefully locate the sixth stigma. Can't help but wonder if the emperor is somehow actually Eriya given the devotion to him and everyone talking about how frail he is and can't be seen while no one seems to know where Eriya is.

Getting more interesting as the story continues. The dynamics of the family are at play and the sacrifice he made cause he loves her. But I feel for her, feeling so lost after it. I still wish the werewolf was in it more cause he is such an interesting character. The ending of this volume though, I wonder what that means for everyone.
It's more of a mystery than a romance. I like books that let you try to solve it before the end. Drama are okay as long as a thrill. I can't stand high school drama where everyone lies and has with everyone else. There's a let of clues thrown at you and the read in is to figure out the past.
More crazy plot twists! I explain with equal parts sarcasm and derision. The only redeemable part is Kana admitting her feelings, but that's rendered mute within a few pages.

Things continue to be unnecessarily dramatic. I liked it better when the heroine was unfazed by the supernatural shenanigans instead of being swept up in them.
Didnt like this one as much as the last. I found the storyline to be a tad on the confusing side, and thought Kana was whiny and weak. I love the idea of her learning about her thrall powers, but didnt like that she had to be saved and then pine for Aki, who doesnt even remember her! This sorta seemed like a stall tactic from moving toward a resoluation. But, at this point, I'm too invested in the story to stop reading!
A shocking turn of events may separate Aki and Kana!? The story seems to be readying for its final arc (only four volumes remain). I may also enjoy this series based on the beauty of Shouoto's artwork...simply lovely.
