I really loved this book. Loved the descriptions of the countryside and it reminded me of me in parts and how I feel when I go up the fields at our place - it's almost spiritual. Reading about Lark taking to the farming is like me taking to living here - I am not from a farming background, yet live on one now and LOVE it.
I loved all the character development and romance. Liked the way you can misjudge people and learn about them along with the characters. (Afraid to spoil there if it sounds cryptic)
I will be reading more by this author soon

I liked this book enough to keep reading it though I wouldn't say its my favourite. Its twists and turns were unexpected which was nice but I found some of the characters quite depressing and a bit dull to be honest. I thought some of the bad language in it was a bit unnecessary and didn't add anything to the plot. Having said all that I enjoyed the descriptions of Wales and it made me want to go back and explore that area a bit more

This started off slow for me, but once I got into it, I really liked it. Lark’s complexity interested me, and her relationship with John felt real and rather beautiful. However, probably me but I didn’t get the ending? Did I miss something? Did she come back? Who was Erin?
