It was even more fun because I usually don't read the blurb of those light novels so I really didn't know what was coming. The main character, Okazaki, is a somewhat broody looking programmer - the typical otaku -type, you'd think. Actually, while he does like to read fantasy novels and manga, he isn't that well versed in otaku culture. He doesn't hate the fact that people think he's an otaku - he hates that they judge him without knowing him. Anyway, Okazaki has a problem, and it's called Mokumoto - his ikemen senpai at work who keeps making up excuses to meet him and always invites him out for dinner. Okazaki refuses, until at some point they meet accidentally and it turns out Mokumoto is actually a full-blown otaku. Okazaki now assumes the reason Mokumoto approached him was because he thought they were fellow otaku, but it doesn't take him that long to realize the real reason Mokumoto was after him - to Mokumoto, Okazaki is totally moe. And while Okazaki doesn't get *that* at all, he has a feeling that what he and Mokumoto have surpasses ordinary friendships..
Right, so, first, I was actually surprised that Mokumoto, and not Okazaki, was the otaku. So that was fun. And, because Mokumoto is really kind of useless, in this case the uke was the one doing all the work (except in bed). Actually, the only way this would have been even better would have been if Okazaki had actually been the seme, but since Mokumoto is taller, there is, of course, nothing to be done... Ah well, but apart from that and the fact that Mokumoto is surpringly fast to recover from his surprise after Okazaki confesses to him and is some kind of sex god (with really creepy fantasies.. ) this was a lot of fun all around. You could tell the author had fun writing it.
Edit: Now that I've seen how it looks, I kinda regret all those italics... but I'm to lazy to change them back.
