A contemporary of William Wilberforce, Wesley was a strong voice opposing slavery in England and the United States. His influence upon modern Christianity can be seen by the large number of Methodist organizations in the Wesleyan tradition all over the world.

I am perhaps a little biased as I am a Methodist however these sermons contain a wonderful interpretation of scripture with a modern slant that is still applicable in the 21st century.

I enjoyed reading this and there are still a few nuggets I think about long after reading it.
