An enjoyable addition to the Whisper Falls series.
Wow what an emotional written story! The impact and the love of this story will stay with you, forever...I love how this family was so supportive and cared for by the lovable community.
Haley Blachard, was designed with such rich characteristics and evolved backgrounds details. She is truly an amazing woman, who foster kids, constantly without any personal care for herself. She struggled to make end meets and believes she couldn't be a Mom, because her own Mother was so terribly and verbal abusive. She did not believed in God.
Then one day, while Creed Carter, an ex military man, who now fly helicopter tours, was praying at church, he found a baby at the church steps. The baby was taken to Haley immediately, but Creed became attached to her and as he continues visit the baby, he feel in love with Haley. He want to Haley to adopt the baby, Rose Petal, but she felt she would be a terrible mother and they had a huge fight and broke up.
Suddenly, Rose got critically sick and had to be flown to another town. Haley was so terrifying of fly but when with Dr. Ron and Rose anyway. At the hospital, she realized that she loved Rose so much and wanted to be her Mom, however when the Rose, biological mother, Lizzie, showed up she was beyond shocked. Lizzie was an abusive poor teenager, and she quickly gave up custody to Haley and Creed.
Creed realized that he was so in love with both Haley and Rose, he asked her to marry him. I cried while reading this entire book...Highly recommended 😍 😇🤗
First off, just have to say that the cover is cheesy. This is the second Love Inspired book I’ve read by this author and I’m noticing that the physical attraction started way too fast in both of them; it’s nothing really gross or inappropriate, just too many things like tingly feelings and “eyes locking”, etc. Even so, this story was quite good and had some funny bits. And a slightly stronger message of Christian faith than other L.I. books I’ve read. I loved the Hero – a man who prays and trusts God.
This kept coming up when I was searching for a book called Whisper Falls. So since I'd been bored and it looked like fun fluff, I decided, Why not? It was cute.
Haley and Creed are like oil and water when they first meet. He's a charter helicopter pilot and she's an artist. He starts his day with prayer at his local church and one morning heard a small cry, only to discover an abandoned infant.
The sheriff was called and brought a social worker along with her. Shortly after their arrival Haley appears as she's an intermittent foster parent. Creed is surprised the social worker let's such a flighty woman take custody of the infant.
He stops later in the day to check on the baby and their relationship begins. They challenge each other and learn to accept and embrace their differences. The baby gets sick and Haley and Creed pull together to support each other through the crisis, but is that enough to build a relationship? You're going to want to read this one to find out. It's worth it.
Haley, Rose and Creed are finally a family by the end of this book, but it is the events that add to this happy ending that makes this book so dear. Time spent in a church every morning praying, A decision to become a foster parent, Open mind about a hippie girl, Fear of flying, A 15 year old girl who is scared but wants what's best for a baby and belief in God. These things plus others made up this book. Read and enjoy.
Wonderful wonderful story. God at the center and in control what more can we ask. The bravery of a very young girl to seek something better for her baby and the couple who loved the baby and found love for themselves. Such a good combination.
A heartfelt romantic story of finding out that love can come to two completely different people when you learn to trust. A beautiful baby finds a home after being abandoned and inspirational story that you can enjoy.
This book's story line was okay. My heart broke in the beginning. I liked Creed's character. I liked the scenes with Creed & the kids. I liked Haley's character. I liked the ending.
This is the second book in this series and it’s great there good character and a well written story line keep the Kleenex handy the story had me in tears.
These are such quick yet sweet reads! This book follows the adventures of a helicopter pilot who finds a baby in a church left with only a note wishing the baby to be given to a loving home. Then the baby finds a temporarily home with a single woman who is a foster mom. While learning to put aside their preconceived notions about each other, they begin to fall for one another. Did God place this baby in this place to give her the perfect parents?
Linda Goodnight is one of those authors that can just really nail a good love story. She can take two people that seem to have nothing in common then bring them together in the most unique ways. Words cannot express how special this story (like the previous story) was.
When Creed Carter, a helicopter pilot who wants nothing more than to run his charter/tourist business by taking people up in the chopper; and Haley Blanchard, a modern day flower girl who enjoys working in her glower garden, taking care of kids that don't belong to her, and growing her own natural herbs, get together I was leery about how this romance would ever work. But as I turned each page, my love for these characters just grew and grew. An abandoned newborn baby on an alter, something so unbelievable, yet made believable by the author's artistic penmanship, brought these two together. As Haley got to know Creed and that he wasn't just a shallow man who thought he was all that, Creed helped her get to know herself just a little better.
One of my favorite scenes is when Creed helped her learn to feel the love she has for these foster children. Not only did it result in a first kiss, but it opened her emotions to feel so much more for everyone. Then when a tragedy occurred, Creed was right there to help her - rather she wanted him there or not.
Adding to this wonderful book are some fights between Creed and Haley - something that was only normal to happen to two so different from each other. Creed's adoptive parents were an added bonus to this story. The love his father had for him warmed my heart. I looked forward to those father/son moments as his father tried to help him deal with a medical scare and the possibility of learning more about his path. The way his father dealt with it was so special that it almost made me weep.
Though I've said plenty above, I cannot begin to express how special this story was...
**Spoiler**
There were some things I have to question - adopting a newborn is in such high demand that the chances of Haley getting this child is probably very slim. I've heard horror stories about adopting that leads me to this conclusion. But in the perfect romance, it's great that it works out so easily.
"Baby in His Arms" was utter perfection and I absolutely loved every single aspect of it! The storyline was amazing and the characters were phenomenal. I loved loved loved Haley and Creed, especially Creed. He was one in a million and pretty close to perfect in my book. Baby Rose was so adorable and I felt so relieved how everything worked out in the end. I love books with babies in them and "Baby in His Ams" was definitely one of my favorites. I immensely enjoyed reading this installment in the Whisper Falls series by the incredibly talented, Linda Goodnight. I can't wait to read more!
