Joint heir to the largest construction company in the state of Ohio, master plumber, Toni (TJ) Jenkins has been groomed to behave in a way that is befitting of the respected Jenkins' family name. But after she breaks up with the only man she's ever loved, to protect a secret she holds close to her heart, poor decisions lead her down a path of destruction that risks ruining the reputation of the company her family has worked hard to build. Cincinnati police officer, Craig Logan, knows Toni is the woman for him. They've been apart for months, but when they run into each other at a party, the passion between them sizzles stronger than ever. She says she can't handle dating a cop, but he senses that something else keeps her from rushing back into his arms. Craig wants her to be his wife, and he'll do whatever it takes to prove no matter what she's hiding, she's still the best woman for the job.

Look out world, someone has been removed from my top ten romance writers list to make room for Ms Cooper. I love this book, so well written. I am in love with Craig and the entire Jenkins clan and I can not wait to see what the rest of the girls get into and how they'll be snatched. What a perfect book to end the year with. A real feel good story.
Enjoyed this book. I enjoyed reading about the love between Craig and Toni. I've never seen this type of love displayed. Interesting twists. Great job Sharon Cooper.
I love stories about strong men and even stronger women. Craig a police detective and his girlfriend Toni a plumber. Beautiful story about an overprotective detective and an independent women. They both gone through tragic incidents in their lives, they had to learn that the love they had for each other could heal any wounds. Loved, loved Grandpa Jenkins and all of Toni's female cousins that help to make up Jenkins and Son's Construction.
After reading the prequel STILL THE BEST WOMAN FOR THE JOB, I couldn't wait to read all of TJ and Craig's story. The dynamics between the was real even though at times T. J. worked my last nerve. Craig gave a new meaning to the words "I'll always be there for you". I love the fact he didn't let male pride stand in the way of him saying I'm sorry. On to the next Jenkins book where I hope to revisit with T. J. and Craig.
I won this book from a Goodreads first-reads contest.
A story that not only shows the importance of family in one's life, but when one is courageous enough to live for what they believe in, you can get the life you want and if you work hard at it, you can get what you want and even get an unexpected surprise!
Love the story of Logan and JT. Two strong willed people having to overcome to ensure there love lasted. Strong family ties, as Logan and his brother Derek are close. JT and her cousins are closing. And those family ties help to strengthen the relationship between Logan and JT.
Craig and Toni are a match made in Heaven. I loved them! You should never judge a book by it's cover. I could not put this book down. Ms. Sharon, you DID THAT with these Jenkins' girls! Loving this book!
Loved the story line and the Dynamics of the relationships with in the Jenkins family. Awesome contemporary love story. Predictable storyline but getting there was fun. Craig was an awesome alpha male and he won me over page after page.

"Still the Best Woman for the Job" by Sharon C. Cooper
My Rationalization:
"Meet the women of the Jenkins family - Feisty, smart, and free-spirited women who together run the family's construction company. Journey with them as they find love when they least expect as we are dealing with cousin Toni [TJ] Jenkins.
I loved this story about Craig and Toni who went through a lot in this story such as 'heartbreak, drama, sex, suspense and a lot of intrigues' that will give you one heck of a good story. We find that once these two were very happy together but what will change for them that will bring it to an end? What had happened to Toni that she will be left feeling that Craig will not be able to forgive her for what she had done? How will this all come out in the end? I will say that I loved this group of characters in this story, so family united. I was glad to have Grampa Jenkins around to keep everything leveled out in what it meant to be in the Jenkins Family. To get all of the answers you will have to pick up "Still the Best Woman for the Job" to see how this story will come out for these two.
I can't wait to read book 2 of the next Jenkins Family Series.
I was really enjoying the book up until the last 15%. There’s a part where Craig meets with a lover to break up with her now that he’s back with Toni. Mind you he and Toni have been together for 2 months. He waits until his friends with benefits is in town to tell her face to face that he’s back with Toni cause he’s a good guy and he owes her that much. What. Ever. Of course he takes the FWB to dinner and Toni sees them and flips the eff out and does something stupid. But never does Craig explain that the woman he is with is more than just a friend. Toni is the bad guy for overreacting and Craig gets off scot free. I don’t think so. Yes Toni overreacted but Craig should have explained that Trish was more than just a friend especially since old girl was plastered up against him when they arrived at the restaurant.
I have a feeling that the theme of this series is that the women are the ones who are being portrayed negatively and it’s the men who are the saints. Very Tyler perry-ish
We shall see

Nice, entertaining read from Sharon Cooper. If you want a book to relax and unwind on a lazy afternoon on the weekend, this should do. It doesn't ask much of the reader but provides you with two characters, Toni and Craig who as in any love story go through some ups and downs and come out winners in the end. I felt the ending was rushed and abrupt and took away from the overall flow of the book, however, not a bad read.
Ms. Cooper is a genius. I read this book in less than 48 hours. I've never read a book where a character was in love as much as Craig was. He truly, truly loved Toni. I felt his love for her. As I was reading I found myself praying for someone like Craig for myself. Someone who loved whole heartedly and unconditionally. I loved the way he loved her. Toni was so broken, my heart was hurting for her, poor girl. GREAT STORY. On to book 2
I enjoyed reading Craig and Toni's story! Toni just should have been upfront with Craig about her situation instead of breaking up with him in the first place. But sometimes you have to be without someone to realize what you had. I loved Craig he was a very loving and patient man when it came to Toni. I'm glad things worked out for them and they got their happily ever after! Now on to book 2.
A love so deep that even though Toni and Craig had separated months ago, the sizzle and the passion still remains strong. Just one look, that's all it took, for this couple to realize how much they still loved each other. Hurdles to jump, situations to handle, secrets to reveal but nothing could break the protective, unconditional love of this couple. Totally enjoyable.
I enjoyed reading this book about Craig and Toni! I had so much sympathy for Toni! What happened to her should never happen to anyone! I loved the chemistry between them as well! I'm glad they decided to overcome all other obstacles that were clouded from their past! I feel that everyone who reads this book will enjoy it! I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves romance!
I enjoyed Toni and Craig's love story. Their life situations were realistic and demonstrate a journey of what real love looks and feels like, especially when that's something both people want. This was the first book I read by Sharon Cooper but it won't be my last. I look forward to reading more by her and definitely reading the entire Jenkins series.
I purchased the book with the Jenkins cousins the men and then I realized there were other books the female cousins and so It begins. I started from the beginning and loving every single one of them TJ is so sweet and a little Spitfire there's one book before this one and then this book here. I have all of the books with the Jenkins family and I'm really enjoying reading through them.
I always enjoy stories with strong independent women who prove that the right man speaking their love language will definitely find their forever heart. Craig and Toni are couple goals for all and I truly enjoyed seeing them navigate their internal issues and still see the light at the end an all encompassing love and respect. Ms. Cooper always delivers, great job!
This was entertaining. Both Toni and Craig were unbelievably stubborn but the love they had for each other was bone-deep and I enjoyed that. And I also loved how supportive yet stern her grandfather was after her incredibly stupid actions. Some parts felt kinda glossed over or rushed but overall I really dug this.
I very much enjoyed the continuation of the love the story between Toni “TJ” and Craig. Toni and Craig complimented each other nicely and I was happy they were both able to face their past so they could have a bright future. Love that they both had strong family ties that helped them see their way to their happily ever after. I loved the surprise twist at the end.
I loved the story of Craig and Toni. I can't wait to start reading the next book in this series. I recommend this series to everyone who loves romance novels with happy endings.
This is only the second book that I have read by her. I really enjoyed the book and the story line. Strong women is more of what we need to hear about. I love the closeness of the family.
That Toni Jenkins is the truth. A masterful female Plumber scared of mice. She gets the job done along with other family members of the Jenkins Clan. However Craig Logan, Cincinnati Police Officer wants his woman back. Suspenseful, romantic, fast paced. Loved this storyline.
This story is amazing. Goes into great detail as to why TJ was the right woman for the job. The storyline about her past was written wonderfully, even though it was a touchy subject. I highly recommend!
This was a cute quick read. The events that took place in the time jump was heartwarming but also a reason why I knocked it down a star. This also confirmed that second chance novellas/books under 300pages work for me.
Beautiful HEA! Toni and Craig go back and forth but find each other in the end. Craig is a peach and accepts and love's Toni as she is. If only Toni could love herself the same way even after the stuff that she has endured.
